Last November Chinese President Hu Jintao swept through South American capitals with pledges of future investment and carrying a "golden pen" that he used to sign agreements along the way with Chile, Argentina, Peru, and Venezuela.

America is Afraid written by La Dominadora,

China is a bone in the throat of American global domination. America does not want China to have a piece of the global pie. China is gaining on the US domination of world trade and American corporations are fearful that their stranglehold on the world's markets will be taken over by China.
America is a selfish spoiled bully that wants the world's economic markets all to herself and resents China trying to take over what she considers to be "her" world markets.

Be wary of what you wish for. Yes America has backed the dictators of the past, and this made many latin americans want to be communist. Their eyes were closed to what happened in to Czechoslovakia, Poland, etc when under Soviet domination. S. America needs to keep ties with America, Europe and China equally strong. Don't rely on one huge trading partner, keep you future in your own hands.

Don't sign deals with the U.S.. There agreements don't mean anything, they will screw you if they can. The way to defeat them is to not buy anything America.

If you think the USA will screw you, wait until you get in bed with China. The Chinese will make the USA look like amateurs. China does nothing unless it benefits China and China alone.

Funny how people are so anxious to throw the US in the dirt and take up any cause or relationship that goes against the US; but, when it comes to times of need who does everyone turn to? The USA. Whether you like them or not, the US is the balancing force in the world today. As the previous writer stated, be wary of the Chinese. Remember, Chinese political and social ethos is focused on world domination. Has everyone forgotten the Cold War so soon?

Bushie babee will be off the screen in 3 years, be wealthier than we can imagine, and China gaining strenght will not be his problem. China, a Communist country with a history of violence toward its own people (Tiananmen Square comes to mind) has a wealth of unpaid and underpaid labor that should be seen as a threat to any country. The USA deals heavily with China now...so heavily, an embargo would hurt us more than China. If any ONE country becomes the major importer or exporter for Brasil...in a few years, that country will control Brasil...(as it would any country)
