When the political crisis in Brazil first gave signs that it would be around a while, many multinational corporations reacted by holding on to new investments. Then Coca-Cola did just the opposite and announced the buying of Sucos Mais, a bottled juice company. Coke is investing US$ 50 million on top of the US$ 270 million already planned for spending in 2004.

Heston, Coke and Miss Brazil written by Guest,

Why should Mr. Heston care about Brazil? He should spend the rest of his crumbling life and wealth serving much more noble causes.
The US now started refusing visa to our Miss Brazil? Are they afraid that her beauty would be a blast? As one American friend told me once, the terrorists are enjoying a great and ongoing victory over the USA. Please, forget Miss Brazil get Bin Laden!
We Brazilians should stop drinking Coca-Cola, which is very junkie, and start drinking our own delicious natural fruit juices.

I completely agree with the above statement regarding Coke. The amount of sugar in that s**t is disgusting - equivalent to 13 teaspoons. I am from India originally but have visited Brazil a few times and a great variety of delicious tropical fruits are available in both places. They are so much more nutritious and healthy. It would actually be a good idea to put warning labels "inhurious to your health" on Coke and Pesi similar to cigarettes.

MURDER it's the real thing
Several trade unionists who are trying to protect workers from exploitation by Coca Cola in Colombia have been murdered.
BOYCOTT COCA COLA: Don't drink Coca Cola. Tell your friends not to drink Coke. Trade unionists blood is the cost of drinking Coca Cola. Trade unionists were killed at the Coca Cola factory and their families have been threatened and killed.
American Multi national Coca Cola steals water resources from very poor villagers in India, who need clean drinking water to survive and for their crops. Coca Cola's major shareholders include Berkshire Hathaway and Sun Trust, companies owned by billionaire Warren Buffet the second richest man in the world. Bill Gates is also a shareholder.

I think the writer made a good point. 'Despite the political crisis Brazil is going through, investments are being made by big companies such as Coca Cola. The economy is doing well and it hasn't showed any signs of being affected by the crisis. Hey Clara, i don't like the idea of reading a book on my cell phone...

Coca Cola is dirty, it does dirty business and I wish I didn't enjoy drinking it but I do.
Im impressed. Youre truly well informed and very intelligent. You wrote something that people could understand and made the subject intriguing for everyone. Im saving this for future use.
