This is his second article from the same writer on the same subject.
The first one appeared a few weeks ago in this same site.
I try to find it back, but it was deleted ! WHY ?

In the first article, Buarque wrote that the problem arose BECAUSE OF A TRANSLATION ERROR FROM ENGLISH TO PORTUGUESE. He even wrote that the translator was a foreigner.

That means, by definition, that the contract was 100 % in portuguese.

And now he says just the opposite, namely that some of the words in the contracts were in English.

Shame on you Buarque.
What you do is manipulation through lies and contradictions !

I apologize on that one to Buarque, but he knows how much I DONT LIKE HIM !

Nonetheless, the January 10 article said there was a faulty translation....meaning errors from English to Portuguese.

And Buarque says there were words in English not translated.

One of the two is wrong, by definition.
But it could be also that the two are wrong.
Because if none of the two have read the contract, they can just say anything they want and this would explain the discrepancies in the 2 articles.

So, who is right and who is wrong ??????

That should be simple to find out, by reading the contract, it seems to me !

The contract is just a detail in this whole story... what is the point? These people DON'T KNOW HOW TO READ!!! They would sleep in a room full of snakes if necessary to get their 5 dollars.But the worst thing is that some people take advantage of their condition, the government doesn't give a s**t about all this. Biopiracy is still not a crime in Brazil, such as using indians as guinea pigs. What a shame, what a shame!

According to the news story, the faulty translation was on the contract submitted to the National Ethics in Research Commission (CONEP) for approval. The contract submitted to the subjects was a different.

Therefore no one could have seen, by checking first the translation, that a translation error occured.

Even if they did, NO one cared !

And here are the results ! Disaster !

There was NO TORTURE !

TORTURE MEANS GIVING PAIN AGAINST THE WILL.

When one knows that he will be bitten and agrees to receive money to do it, this is NOT TORTURE.
NO TORTURED MAN HAS YET BEEN PAID FOR AGREEING TO BE BITTEN BY MOSQUITOS.

It is similar in Drugs research and beta testing : volunteers are paid to test some new drugs, knowing the eventual side effects, sometimes deadly.They are volunteers, they are paid, and they agree in writing to take the risk.
THIS IS NOT TORTURE !

This done with thousands and thousands of people around the world, both in developped and developing countries.

What's wrong in one and not in the others cases ?????

By the way, I read the author of this article, C.Buarque is now a candidate for the Presidential elections.
Hopefully he will not win. Brazil will be worse than today existing disaster.
