Less than a week after the de facto February 29 coup d'état that overthrew President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, the Brazilian government let it be known that it would send 1,100 troops to lead and provide the core units for MINUSTAH, the UN's international peacekeeping force in Haiti.

I read the major Brazilian newspapers everyday. So I am taken back by your comments. Can you provide more specifics regarding the killing of Haitians by Brasilian troops?

To the first respondant, My friend......... you're spewing pure non-sense. Brazilian troops aren't systematically killing haitians, for no reason. Trust me, brazil is simple expanding it's participation in international peace keeping and other efforts. For a nation with such a huge population, di'd say it's about time..........
Anyways, haitians should be eternally gratefull to any nation that sends troops to the country. After all, haiti has zero natural resources and is of no strategic importance. The world could easily let haiti descend in to an all-out blood bath, with widespread starvation, similar to somalia.
