Gabeira's Navegação na Neblina Brazil's leading news magazine, Veja, praised Congressman Fernando Gabeira as "the champion of ethics and lucidity in Brazilian politics". If Gabeira is Brazil's most believable politician, it may be because he speaks his mind even when it means admitting he has been wrong in the past and may be again.

Thank you Mr. Goertzel

I appreciate your providing light in the midst of the darkness descending upon the people of Brazil. There is something about surviving the torture that 'clears the mind'. There is no further ambiguity about who is the enemy and what that enemy is capable of doing.

Never forget that during the dictatorship in Brazil, throughout Latin America, and around the world, the US 'actively' supported these regimes with enough financial credits to bankrupt many societies. They should make a dance of this drama that repeats itself time after time. If the cycle is not broken, if the shackles of colonialism, racism, corruption, and greed are not broken soon, then the 21st century shall join the last 6 centuries in the oppression of mankind.
