John PizzarelliJust before Christmas, I was surfing the local TV stations and had a pleasant surprise—a program which was actually worth watching.  Amidst the usual imbecilic soap operas and moronic chat shows appeared an arts program called “Metropolis” on TV Cultura which featured an American musician called John Pizzarelli.

John I love this article and it is nice to see you back. Haven't seen anything from you in a while. I love Brazilian music and also am amazed it is not more respected by a broader foreign audience nor mined for material. It is so diverse, rich, and textured. Amazing! I am learning all I can so I can mine it myself, as I am a musician. Anyway have a blessed New Year! Keep up the good articles!
