Tourists in a boat on the AmazonEven from Brazil, getting to the Amazon isn't always easy. From our home in João Pessoa, capital of the northeastern state of Paraíba, we had to go to Recife, two hours away by car, to get a flight. Then we had a "local" instead of an "express" flight and it stopped at every place with an airport so it was over six hours on one airplane.

re: "O esposo é muito inteligente"

"esposo" doesn't exist!

it's "marido"
Congratulations!

Congratulations......to the first person to read the whole of this posting in one go!
I´m afraid I caved in after the Opera House comment. No offence Jim, but the article was so long I felt as if I was travelling the Amazon just reading it. I promise I´ll try again later as I can´t wait to hear all about the magic dolphins. I´ve always been a bit partial to gifted fish ever since I saw Free Willy, mind you Flipper was a shrewd one too and a dolphin for that matter.
Very Good article*****

Is English not your first language or you have the attentions span of a doorknob? This was informative and easy to read by someone who has been there, done that, and has a positive attitude towards Brazil.

The guy's right. It was turgid, boring and badly constructed. I almost gave up after the bit about 'very fortunately' What's that about, for the love of Mary? It's either fortunate or not.
I think the writer should go back to doing whatever the writer did before writing this stuff.....Magic dolphins, indeed.
Some of this stuff seems as if it was pulled from some PR blurb.

FYI, I AM a professional writer and have been for many years. Your opinion is just as worthless as your attitude. It tells me you know absolutely nothing about writing but love to criticize those that can do what you never could.

The fact that you did not have the courage or integrity to identify yourself but prefer to hide behind your keyboard also says a lot about your personality or rather the lack of one.

Does the fact that everyone else seemed to like it mean anything to you? Are you so arrogant that you think you are right while everyone else is wrong?

Please do me a favor and never read anything by me again. In fact, maybe you should give up reading until you learn manners and how to have the courage of your comments.
LOL
