Globo TV reporter Guilherme Portanova after being released from captivityNot only São Paulo, but the whole country breathed a sigh of relief upon knowing that Guilherme Portanova, the Globo TV Network journalist kidnapped Saturday, had been released. The TV network could not have acted differently: 24 hours before it had met the criminals' demand: airing a video in defense of privileges for the organized crime bosses who are in jail. In the video, there are demands to put an end to the Differentiated Discipline Regime, which limits the rights of the most dangerous criminals in jail.

Is it a surprise?
written by Truth, August 15, 2006
Is it a surprise that crime took over Brazil? Remember the names of those who kidnapped Charles Elbrick in 1969? Wasn't one of them a journalist called Fernando Gabeira? Isn't he a congressman today? Ok ok, as he himself says, they commited a kidnap but they weren't bandits. What's a kidnap afterall? It shouldn't be even a crime

Hence, I fully believe that Marcola belongs to Congress. It's time for the leechers and mensaleiros be replaced by a true specialist. They need to improve their techniques, afterall...
what a joke........and noise......

...for a few millions in the ambulances corruption !
Far more money was diverted with the vote buying scandal. Results : almost every one found guilty.....was absolved....in a secret vote....by the politicians....themselves corrupted to the roots !
What a joke !!!!!!!

Even worse : over 100 billions (yesssss....billions) of Reais were money laundered outside the country from 1998 to 2002.
A report was done and presented to the Senate. the Senate decided NOT to open an investigation on that subject ! The date the vote took place was December 18, 2004 !
Funny.....because in the report 91 politicians were named !!!!!!!! Thus guess why....the vote was against an investigation ! What a joke....what a joke ! But of course a few money launderers from the banks, got long jail terms !!!!!!!! The money did not belong to them and they acted on the instructions of the owners of these 100 billions !!!!!!!!! What a joke, what a joke !!!!

What a joke, what a joke.......the Brazilian lawmakers and the Brazilian politicians.
What a joke....the Brazilian laws !
What a joke....the Brazilian Justice !

Just look at Rondonia, were 90 % of all the top state government officials were arrested, 1 or 2 weeks ago. Arrested for a very short period of time.....until they will be found NOT guilty. What a joke.....

Just look at the 42 people arrested for smuggling timber. One of them was..... a FEDERAL PROSECUTOR, and 16 of the 42 were government employees !!!!! Yessss.....what a joke !

As to the PCC, they are Your Hezbollah ! They attack your country just like the Hezbollah attacks Israel.
Brazil is at war....against itself !!!!!! What a joke.....
Brazil has over 30'000 yearly crime deaths, many times more than in the Iraq war !!!!!! What a joke.....
In Brazil 50 % of youths deaths (aged 15 to 24) are from violent deaths ! What a joke....what a joke.A world record.
In Brazil crime deaths DOUBLED IN 1 DECADE ! Most probably another world record !

Can no one realize that the whole world is laughing against Brazilian Laws, Brazilian Justice and Brazilian Politicians ?????

Quite a messy situation.....in a s**tty country !
With bandits at home why fight in Haiti?
written by jh, August 22, 2006
This merely shows up the big joke of the Brazilian role in Haiti. With the government's inability to deal with "gangs and bandits" at home what on earth do they think they can do in Haiti? Lula should get his nose out of Bush's derrier and pull Brazilian troops out of Haiti so he can deal with his own problems first. But perhaps it makes sense to give a young son from the favelas a large gun and send him to Haiti to train to kill "bandits."
