Stem cell research in Brazil Never before has humanity found itself facing such difficult ethical options in relation to the use of science and technology. In a fairly recent development, science now has the power to destroy civilization and the planet with the atomic bomb, global warming and the manipulation of life with diverse forms of biotechnology.

We are standing by to receive the opinion of our distinguished fellow blogger Dr.Thaddeus Blanchette on this article. Unless he says something about it, I prefer to remain silent smilies/wink.gif

and then what do you tell a mother of a child that stem cell would help ???

look to the rag heads they sell there body parts on the open market to rich people from all over the world

to me it goes back to the needs of the many out way the cost of the few or the one
but should be for use to all peoples no matter how much or how little they have

plus if you take the cells from the belly boton there is nothing to die for

I am in Miami at the moment, returned here from Brazil a week ago. I am on my way to work later today. I did not participate in the blogs this time but I read them. I have to say, this time around most of the participants were more civil in there discussions.

Hi,

Good to hear from you. I guess, by just reading the comments without participating actively in the blog, you were able to spend more quality time in Rio along with your family.Hopefully you enjoyed your stay and well rested before sailing off on another long voyage again. Are you going to the Middle East again or somewhere else?

Have a safe trip and hopefully you get to see this message before sailing off.

I read some interesting comments made by the Senator and published in the link below. He has expressed the same opinion shared by millions of hardworking and honest Tax payers in Brasil!

I was able to spend more quality time with my family, including one week in the city (Copacabana and Leme). I have not spent that lenght of time there in over 8 years, usually I am there for one day while on my way in and out of the country.
I am in Jacksonville, Florida at the monent, arriving here at 1230 my time today. I will be here for the rest of the day and tomorrow before leaving for Charleston, South Carolina. As of now there is no firm time frame for our lenght of time there, but after we will be sailing for the Middle East via the Mediterranean.
