The leaders of Mercosur are convening in Tucumán, Argentina, this week, for their semi-annual conference and for the inauguration of Brazil's Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva as its pro-tempore president. San Miguel de Tucumán, the largest city in northwestern Argentina and the capital of the province of Tucumán, was the site of Argentine independence from Spain in 1816.

The real problem is to score goals when they need it.
Most people in Brazil and in Argentina don’t care about Unasur – but most of the population cares about their teams ranking by FIFA.
Brazil has more than 5,000 Brazilian soccer players playing in leagues around the world, and that is an important global market for Brazil since brings billions of US dollars to Brazil.
For the first time since 1992 Brazil is not ranked among the 3 best soccer teams in the world, and Argentina is even lower in the rankings right now.
It is a problem when Brazil losses a soccer game even to Venezuela.
In my opinion, Dunga has to be replaced as the couch of the national team. But Brazil did not move fast enough and Felipao got a new job and he is not available to replace Dunga.
Instead of wasting time and effort with Unasur in Brazil we need to figure out a way to put our act together and start winning the soccer games as in the past – and we have the high quality players to do it.
Regarding the European factor – Spain is ranked number one for the first time, then Italy is ranked number 2, and Germany is ranked number 3 in the FIFA latest rankings.
Brazil has to figure out a way to become number one once again.
Brazil can start by replacing Dunga ASAP.
