Brazil's Unrelenting March to Conquer the Arab World PDF Print E-mail
Written by Isaura Daniel

Brazilian Boticário, a cosmetics company, in Saudi Arabia Chicken was among the first to arrive. One container, then two, three, dozens, hundreds, and soon the product of Brazilian poultry farms was a mainstay in the cooking pots of Arab housewives. Later on came other products, such as shoes and clothing. A sandal of the Arezzo brand on the luxury staircases of Riyadh homes, a Dzarm T-shirt in Bahrain, Colcci trousers in the streets of Dubai.

Buses, perfumes, beef, household utensils arrived there as well. Now, Brazilian banking agencies have their doors wide open in Dubai, and people from Brazil are working on the construction of buildings where the Arabs are going to live and work.

All of the products and services listed above already have their space in the Arab world. Brazilian chicken has at least two addresses in Dubai, at offices established in the emirate by companies Sadia and Perdigão. This year, Sadia intends to start building a factory that will allow for chicken meat to be processed in Arab ground, in the Emirates.

However, this is not going to be the first Brazilian industrial unit in the Arab world. Randon, a maker of highway implements, already owns assembly lines in Morocco and Algeria, Neobus, a bus body maker, owns an assembly line in Algeria, and Crystalsev, a sugar manufacturer, is a partner at a recently opened refinery in Syria.

In other words, Brazilian factories are beginning to switch on their machines and industrial mats over there. The same cannot be said of commercial offices and distribution centers bearing the Brazilian flag, which have already opened their doors for some time now, and abound in the region.

Just to name a few, other than those of Sadia and Perdigão: the JBS group, which operates in the beef market, has an office in Egypt, bus body maker Marcopolo has one in Dubai, Weg, a producer of engines and electric equipment, has a branch in Dubai, and Tramontina, a household utensils manufacturer, owns a distribution center in Dubai.

"Having an office there is crucial in order to increase exports," says the foreign trade manager at the Brazilian Food Processors Association (Abia), Amilcar Lacerda de Almeida. In fact, the branches that the Brazilian industry established in the Arab world have helped increase trade. Exports from Brazil to the region, which stood at US$ 1.4 billion in the year 2000, have reached US$ 3.1 billion, more than double, in the first five months this year alone. Meats and sugar are the most sold products.

Foodstuffs are one of the strongest and most traditional Brazilian sectors in the Arab world. Sadia, for example, has been exporting to the region since the 1960s. Processing the products in another country, as Sadia is going to do in the Emirates, represents the next step in trade with the region.

In the case of Sadia, the initiative is justified by the time for which the company has been present there. According to Almeida, the decision of establishing a factory in a foreign country depends on local demand and availability of raw material.

Sadia is going to import chicken from Brazil and process them in the Emirates. "Many countries are now protecting their markets, thus preventing competitive products from breaking in. Therefore, there is a global trend for producing inputs where it is most effective to do so, and then manufacturing the derivatives in another country, according to the needs and features of each region," explains Almeida.

The same should be done at the Crystalsev plant, in Syria. Sugar is going to be imported raw - even from Brazil - and then refined in the Arab country.

Brazilian Fashion

Another segment of the national industry that is taking up more and more space at shopping centers in the Arab world is Brazilian fashion. In this case, however, brands are not sewing and embroidering their trousers, shirts and dresses out there, they are selling - at their own stores.

Those that own stores or franchises in the Arab countries include Hering, Green by Misako, Colcci and Marisol, in the textile sector, and Carmen Steffens and Arezzo, for footwear. The Brazilian Simoni Jabbour owns, in Dubai, a store named Praias ("Beaches") that sells bikinis made in Brazil.

Not to mention another sector that walks hand in hand with fashion, which is aesthetics. Brand Boticário owns three stores and two kiosks in Saudi Arabia.

The director at the TexBrasil program of the Brazilian Textile and Apparel Industry Association (Abit), Rafael Cervone, believes that the number of stores and franchises of Brazilian textile brands in the Arab world tends to increase even further in the next few years. According to him, there is interest from local entrepreneurs in establishing stores turned to Brazilian fashion.

"The Arabs enjoy innovative products, with typical Brazilian features," he says. According to Cervone, United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Saudi Arabia are the leading markets for the segment in the Arab world. "They are very much interested in fashion and style," he says.

The Brazilian construction industry has also discovered the Arab world. Some companies from Brazil, such as Odebrecht, have already been active in the region for a long time, but the number of deals closed by national real estate developers in the Arab world is on the rise.

Queiroz Galvão, for instance, is developing four projects, totaling US$ 500 million, in Libya. Works include water supply, sewage, draining, public lighting, telephony, street paving and urbanism. Andrade Gutierrez also operates in the region.

And not all Brazilian companies taking up a share of the civil construction market in the region are giants. Engineering and tensioning company Engeprot Engenharia e Protensão, based in Curitiba, capital of the southern Brazilian state of Paraná, laid its foundations in Dubai little over three years ago, when it opened an office there.

Ever since, it has been providing tensioning services, a technology for increasing the resistance of concrete. By the end of last year, the company had already performed its services in a total area of 450,000 square meters. This year, it should cover 1 million square meters.

Banking Brazilian Way

One of the debutants in the Arab world is the Brazilian banking sector. The Banco do Brasil (Bank of Brazil) opened a branch in Dubai last month, and Itaú is going to establish a subsidiary of its brokerage arm, also in Dubai, and a representation office in Abu Dhabi.

Attracting investment and trade will be the main focuses of the two banks in the Arab country. An executive at Bradesco also told the Brazilian press recently about the plans of the institution for setting its bases in the United Arab Emirates.

According to Roberto Troster, a partner at financial services provider Integral Trust Serviços Financeiros, internationalization of Brazilian banking institutions is a trend. Currently, according to him, Brazilian banks are present not only in the Arab world, but also in the United States, Europe and Japan.

"The banks are heading toward these countries due to their economic importance, and also because they are donors of funds," says Troster. In the case of the Arab world, according to the economist, the sophistication of the local banking system is still an issue. What the region wants, according to Troster, is to take their investments and funds to Brazil.

Despite not having fixed physical structures in the Arab world, some Brazilian companies already have their brands well established in the region. Such is the case with aircraft manufacturer Embraer and Petrobras.

Brazilian oil company Petrobras is drilling oil in Libya, sustains an agreement with Algeria for operating in the gas sector, and another agreement with Total, based in France, for operating in the Middle East and Africa.

Others still use the Dubai Business center, maintained by the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brazil) and by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce, in order to make their business deals in the Arab world easier.

It is impossible to measure, in terms of figures, the volume of Brazilian capital in the Arab world. However, adverts by offices, factories and distribution centers indicate that the capital is present over there, and in large volumes.

For the Brazilian companies not yet active in the Arab market, or even for those willing to enhance their action in the local market, the Market Development Department at the Arab Brazilian Chamber prepared a study containing key steps for investing in the Arab world. Read some excerpts below:

Identifying synergic opportunities - Investment environments are different in each region of the Arab world. Every region has its idiosyncrasies.

Knowing the incentives - The governments offer incentives in many different sectors, especially in industrial zones, from tax exemption to assistance.

Studying the market - The market is comprised of more than 330 million consumers. The niche must be narrowed down.

Quality and dedication to the market - The market environment, in the Gulf, is a competitive one, therefore quality products are a must.

Brand promotion - Brazilian products are not widely known. Promoting their unique features is a good strategy.

Innovation - Typical Brazilian features and investment in technology constitute good appeals for selling products in the Arab world.

Workforce - Some local companies specialize in seeking workforce. Local workers are usually cheaper than Brazilian ones.

Respecting local culture when negotiating - The notion of time is different from that of Brazil. The Arabs place emphasis on personal relations.

Local partners - In some countries, a local partner is a legal requirement. Companies already established in the country can help you enter the market.

Islam is not a religion, nor is it a cult. In its fullest form, it is a complete, total, 100% system of life.

Islam has religious, legal, political, economic, social, and military components. The religious component is a beard for all of the other components.

Islamization begins when there are sufficient Muslims in a country to agitate for their religious privileges.

When politically correct, tolerant, and culturally diverse societies agree to Muslim demands for their religious privileges, some of the other components tend to creep in as well.

Here's how it works.

As long as the Muslim population remains around or under 2% in any given country, they will be for the most part be regarded as a peace-loving minority, and not as a threat to other citizens. This is the case in:

United States -- Muslim 0.6%
Australia -- Muslim 1.5%
Canada -- Muslim 1.9%
China -- Muslim 1.8%
Italy -- Muslim 1.5%
Norway -- Muslim 1.8%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. This is happening in:

Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

At 2% to 5%, they begin to proselytize from other ethnic minorities and disaffected groups, often with major recruiting from the jails and among street gangs. This is happening in:

Denmark -- Muslim 2%
Germany -- Muslim 3.7%
United Kingdom -- Muslim 2.7%
Spain -- Muslim 4%
Thailand -- Muslim 4.6%

From 5% on, they exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they will push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They will increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves -- along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in:

France -- Muslim 8%
Philippines -- Muslim 5%
Sweden -- Muslim 5%
Switzerland -- Muslim 4.3%
The Netherlands -- Muslim 5.5%
Trinidad & Tobago -- Muslim 5.8%

At this point, they will work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under Sharia, the Islamic Law. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish Sharia law over the entire world.

When Muslims approach 10% of the population, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. In Paris , we are already seeing car-burnings. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam , with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily, particularly in Muslim sections, in:

Guyana -- Muslim 10%
India -- Muslim 13.4%
Israel -- Muslim 16%
Kenya -- Muslim 10%
Russia -- Muslim 15%

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:

Ethiopia -- Muslim 32.8%

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

Bosnia -- Muslim 40%
Chad -- Muslim 53.1%
Lebanon -- Muslim 59.7%

From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of Sharia Law as a weapon, and Jizya, the tax placed on infidels, such as in:

Albania -- Muslim 70%
Malaysia -- Muslim 60.4%
Qatar -- Muslim 77.5%
Sudan -- Muslim 70%

After 80%, expect daily intimidation and violent jihad, some State-run ethnic cleansing, and even some genocide, as these nations drive out the infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been experienced and in some ways is on-going in:

Bangladesh -- Muslim 83%
Egypt -- Muslim 90%
Gaza -- Muslim 98.7%
Indonesia -- Muslim 86.1%
Iran -- Muslim 98%
Iraq -- Muslim 97%
Jordan -- Muslim 92%
Morocco -- Muslim 98.7%
Pakistan -- Muslim 97%
Palestine -- Muslim 99%
Syria -- Muslim 90%
Tajikistan -- Muslim 90%
Turkey -- Muslim 99.8%
United Arab Emirates -- Muslim 96%

100% will usher in the peace of 'Dar-es-Salaam' -- the Islamic House of Peace. Here there's supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:

Afghanistan -- Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia -- Muslim 100%
Somalia -- Muslim 100%
Yemen -- Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.

'Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe against the world, and all of us against the infidel. -- Leon Uris, 'The Haj'

It is important to understand that in some countries, with well under 100% Muslim populations, such as France, the minority Muslim populations live in ghettos, within which they are 100% Muslim, and within which they live by Sharia Law. The national police do not even enter these ghettos. There are no national courts, nor schools, nor non-Muslim religious facilities. In such situations, Muslims do not integrate into the community at large. The children attend madrasses. They learn only the Koran. To even associate with an infidel is a crime punishable with death. Therefore, in some areas of certain nations, Muslim Imams and extremists exercise more power than the national average would indicate.

Today's 1.5 billion Muslims make up 22% of the world's population. But their birth rates dwarf the birth rates of Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Jews, and all other believers. Muslims will exceed 50% of the world's population by the end of this century.

In other words Brazil is creating their future national security problem in a big way.
It's like Brazil is either blind or stupid or seriously underestimating and not understanding Arab people.
This IS an issue people. Not much can be done about it. But it is good to be aware of what is happening. And know that it has already been "written" that it would happen.
If TRUTH and SPIRITUALITY is your focus you will be fine, as the laws of the Universe will guide you to "safety".
Climatic times are ahead people. There is no use burying our heads in the sand.
As the old saying goes,,"Free your mind, and the rest will follow".

True
written by Zak, August 12, 2008
This sort of analysis won't go down well with PC apologists for extremist Islam, but it is very true. Europe is sleepwalking into becoming Islamicised due to huge Muslim immigration/asylum numbers and an explosive population growth in Muslim immigrant communities. Liberal elites prevent discussion of the issue through bullying and stifling dissent. Instead, they attempt to present this development as "cultural diversity" etc. Anyone who criticises their approach is smeared as a "Nazi" or "Islamophobe".

The problem is in another couple of generations, secular Europe as we know it today will be unrecognisable or may be on its last legs. Perhaps the liberal Swedish with their "anything goes" immigration policies and moral equivalence in relation to extremist Islam will be the first to pass the Muslim majority threshold. Maybe the chattering class liberal elites will be happy that they will have finally achieved Muslim dominance and the rule of Sharia law in whole swathes of what was until comparatively recently, a Christian continent.
Forrest is somewhat right !

Except that for developed countries he did not take in account the illegals Muslims residents.

Another example : Will a jobless Moroccan chose China or Brazil, 2 countries with booming economies, to enter illegally and find eventually a job, or France, Germany, Spain, Italy or better yet....Switzerland.....all mature economies ???????

Another one : Will a jobless Brazilian chose China or India, 2 countries with booming economies, to enter illegally and find eventually a job, or the USA, Europe, or Japan, all with low economic growth ?
Somewhat strange to enter illegally the EU having a similar unemployment rate than Brazil of 8 % or so !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last but not least : why are no jobless Brazilians looking for a job OR create a new samll enterprise that may grow in Africa or Asia, such as Angola, Benin, Togo, Kenya, Lybia, Senegal, Tunisia, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Indonesia, Pakistan, Nepal, or in the Caribeans such as Haîti, Santo Domingo, St Marteen, Tortola......just to name a few ????? Smiles....smiles....smiles !!!!!!!!!

And last for the road : why are jobless Brazilians or other nationals (normally poors by definition) ready to pay up to US$ 10'000.- to enter USA or the EU....illegally ?????????

Not over : why are Brazilians not accepting as many illegal aliens, muslims or not, as Europe or the USA tolerate ???????
Yessss why not tolerate illegals from Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Peru, Guatemala, or Indonesia, Thailand, Philipines......all of them much poorer than Brazil ?????

Unless you cheat a lot in your official unemployment rate, and you do, Brazil will have no reason to have its borders so closed...to illegal foreigners !

But as usual, Brazil want to be the exception and asked developed nations to give opportunities to their citizens, because they had not this opportunity in Brazil despite the multi years of apparent economic boom !!!!!
Something does not add up !
Why not use part of the foreign currencies reserves of Brazil to finally create millions of jobs in building social housing and infrastructure so much neglected over so many decades.
Of course, these US$ 200 billion equivalent, will not be used for the unemployed brazilians, but mostly one way or the other for the benefits
of the minority elite.

It would seem from the above that the Arab countries present a golden opportunity for Brazilian exports, since they produce virtually nothing except crude oil, and need everything. Parenthetically, why would any country want to adopt the philosphy and attitude that have proven to be non-producers?
Forest 100% correct, warning!!- Islam = Danger (simple) // (multip.dot) entry - full agreement
written by Augustus, August 12, 2008
Gentlemen (and occasional browsing lady)
My honest intention tonight was to enter just three or four lines, indicating my agreement to Forest (and a brief concurrence with an anonymous participant); as I truly felt that Forest had already provided sufficient warnings.

Yet, when I started contemplating the Islamic intolerance and ruthlessness, which far surpasses the radical, extremist, fanatical religious views of any other group on Earth, I concluded that one cannot possible provide sufficient caution for Brasilia to avoid closer ties with any nation in that sector of the planet…, Indeed, at this point I realized that I just could not possibly refrain from recalling a wealth of perfectly good reasons to continue raising the pitch of Forest warning! There are so many serious issues to object, tp many procedures to fear, so many precious thoughts, behavior and conduct which would have to be protected…. Hopefully another one of you, I find it in your heart the need to explore the multifaceted danger the represent so that, each one of you could investigate about them, and “spread the word further….

The threat may arrive with doves and camels- in the shape of investments…Once the capital is invested, generally follows deeper commitments, involving, that’s when Arab cultural centers are proposed and then built.; this step in turn may trigger Islamic families to move to Brazilian cities (all nice at firt) and then more families joint the first waive/… then, until one day, you find yourself in Brasilia, Sao Paulo or Rio each with a big structions under construction and next thing you know you start finding is a Mosque in Quadra Sul-DF, Avenida Paulista-SP and Avenida Rio Branco-RG... This would be the beginning of the end of the kind of Brazil we know...

What is generally considered "moderate" of Islam is possibly more radical (and thus more dangerous) more dangerous than any other fundamentalist group of Christians or Orthodox Jewish. In fact, the word moderation must have different meanings in Arabic and Persian, based on what I read...

Their goal is to spread their disturbing beliefs throughout the world as most Moslems consider their mission to spread their faith and then to go to heaven... They recite and sing (in a scary fashion) songs in a "certain book"(which I shall not mention lest I receive some deaths threats) which prescribes all types of punishments - the words of which they alleged to have came DIRECTLY from the "divine being" (again no names), and it contains detailed information about several types of punishments for specific sins (some bearing edited entries in parenthesis in order to provide certain groups of infidels such as Christians for some cases and Jews for others - such groups mentioned as an illustration of come type of sin). In essence, most things Brazilians do in a day basis, a fundamentalist Moslem would consider highly objectionable.

As such, from the bottom of my heart (whatever remains of it) I would strongly suggest the happy, free, colorful, and "mostly" peaceful (outside Rio anyway) Brazilian nation to seriously consider avoiding any deeper ties with such an ominous society, thereby preventing horrible conflicts, and unspeakable horrors for the nest two or three generations of Brazilians. Brazil – watch out!!!!

Neeless to say, one may proceed ad infinitum with regions for avoiding and objecting further ties.

It IS sad that the world empire of False religion is so corrupt and violent. It is good to see people calling it as they see it.
You might be interested in knowing that the God in the "popular book" feels and thinks the same way.
And one of the seven angels that had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying: “Come, I will show you the judgment upon the great harlot who sits on many waters, 2 with whom the kings of the earth committed fornication, whereas those who inhabit the earth were made drunk with the wine of her fornication.”
Revelation 17:1,2
3 For because of the wine of the anger of her fornication all the nations have fallen [victim], and the kings of the earth committed fornication with her, and the traveling merchants of the earth became rich due to the power of her shameless luxury.”
Revelation 18:3
And I heard another voice out of heaven say: “Get out of her, my people, if YOU do not want to share with her in her sins, and if YOU do not want to receive part of her plagues. 5 For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind.
vs 4

Yes! The Intelligent Designer is going to judge religion for misrepresenting Him so horribly. And he is going to use the governments to bring her to her end.
And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire. 17 For God put [it] into their hearts to carry out his thought, even to carry out [their] one thought by giving their kingdom to the wild beast, until the words of God will have been accomplished.

Interestingly the commercial system is going to pay a huge price for this event.
Also, the traveling merchants of the earth are weeping and mourning over her, because there is no one to buy their full stock anymore, 12 a full stock of gold and silver and precious stone and pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet; and everything in scented wood and every sort of ivory object and every sort of object out of most precious wood and of copper and of iron and of marble; 13 also cinnamon and Indian spice and incense and perfumed oil and frankincense and wine and olive oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep, and horses and coaches and slaves and human souls. 14 Yes, the fine fruit that your soul desired has departed from you, and all the dainty things and the gorgeous things have perished from you, and never again will people find them.

15 “The traveling merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand at a distance because of [their] fear of her torment and will weep and mourn, 16 saying, ‘Too bad, too bad—the great city, clothed with fine linen and purple and scarlet, and richly adorned with gold ornament and precious stone and pearl, 17 because in one hour such great riches have been devastated!’

This is where Brazil is "disconnecting". They DON"T get it. Huge conflict is on the horizon over "RELIGION" . And with Islamic nations life IS religion.
I just find it interesting that while major nations are appearing to decouple from the area,, Brazil is PLUNGING in. And in a big way!
Of course, not that anyone can do anything about the way history will be made anyway. But given the current geo-political situation. You can't be so blind. Even if you didn't read the "popular book".

Look at what an ET is going to do to her. And note at the end why.

And a strong angel lifted up a stone like a great millstone and hurled it into the sea, saying: “Thus with a swift pitch will Babylon the great city be hurled down, and she will never be found again. 22 And the sound of singers who accompany themselves on the harp and of musicians and of flutists and of trumpeters will never be heard in you again, and no craftsman of any trade will ever be found in you again, and no sound of a millstone will ever be heard in you again, 23 and no light of a lamp will ever shine in you again, and no voice of a bridegroom and of a bride will ever be heard in you again; because your traveling merchants were the top-ranking men of the earth, for by your spiritistic practice all the nations were misled. 24 Yes, in her was found the blood of prophets and of holy ones and of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth.”

dnbaiacu,
Although I may disagree a great deal with some aspects of your overall views or with the methods you selected to argue against our common concern, there is NO question that, regarding this important matter, we are in perfect harmony; I suppose we it “comes down” to significant issues of broad implication, groups or individuals bearing differences “in kind” would also find themselves in full accord for matters of substance!

Indeed, those who may be familiar with some of my (radical) viewpoints, are likely to be aware of my strong opposition to any type of association with mythological proclivities of any type; yet, I would gladly endures billions of Christians (as well as Jewish, Buddhists, Hindus, or followers of any other “faith”) than having to tolerate for just a moment, even a very small group of moderate Moslems! At the very least the other sects are not likely (or otherwise inclined) to instruct their offspring in fighting anyone who objects to their religion nor to indiscriminately murder or maim innocent people for the "so-called glory" of their Divine being.

There can be no compromise with potentially malicious intentions, particularly when disguised with the “olive branch” of US Dollars or British Sterling; for any single coin invested or spent on Brazilian soil by Islamic concerns is likely to represent the seed of the nation’s eventual demise…

As such, dnbaiacu, we could not find ourselves in greater agreement when contemplating serious and potentially nefarious issues which are likely to threaten the security of our gentle happy country of origin…
For Double-Dot - The necessity of recognizing the appropriate time & issues for amusing entries...

Double Dot

Regardless of your actual opinion regarding any of my general views, political inclination, or connection with an Aristocracy you strongly object, when I take into account your indisp**ably well educated background, I must express my sincere disappointment with your apparent inability to assess which issues should not warrant clever jokes or comical remarks…

Combining the Islamic threat to Brazil (to the entire planet, actually) with the very serious conflict currently in progress in the Caucasus region, just for the sake of placing me in some ridiculous quest, does not befit your capable sensibilities and fails to match my high opinion of your character (despite the previously disclosed misgivings). Certainly, I would have expected any wise man (which you certainly are) to recognize both of these important issues as the type of topics one should refrain from trivializing…

I hope you do not, truly, treat any of these issues lightly, particularly the Russian-Georgian conflict! Indeed, because the potential implications (and ramifications) which are unfolding as I type this text (listening to CNN & BBC reports), are so overwhelmingly distressing, that I could hardly imagine you would take so light-hearted an approach…

The thing is, Brazil has to get caught up in the conflict "qual quer forma". The whole world will be involved. And Brazil is a hot spot for reasons of "natural resources". All eyes on Brazil.. Do you think the middle east doesn't want a piece of the little pie left?
I always wondered how "seemingly" neutral Brazil would get caught up in the "War On Terrorism" considering it is a predominantly Catholic country. But my question was answered with the past 9 months of Brazils businesses and banks not seeming able to connect quick enough with the coffers of the Mid east deserts. It is so clear as day now how this is all going to play out in Brazil.
A few bloggers scoffed at my notion that many Arabs are planning to emigrate (flee , under the guise of investing) because they know what is ahead. That's the major difference between them and Western society. They actually BELIEVE what they claim to believe in. Whereas most "so called " professed Christians are just "nominally so" as the very best.
What's going to happen is going to happen..It is just interesting seeing how it develops and plays out.
We are entering a very LEFT world , under the guise of socialism to make it more tolerable for Westerners.
What do you think Russia is strong arming Georgia for? It's a show of force. And the U.S can't do a THING about it. Actually no one can. All this political posturing on the part of the U.S and some countries in Europe ie France. They know what time it is. The synchronization process is happening as we speak. Communist blocks standing up. The U.S going left. And the economies of the West faltering in a big way.
Now greedy and clueless Brazil tries to cash in at the last minute.
This is kind of hilarious. Sad because of the lack of insight. But comical all the same.
Augustus it is all about the individual and your personal "search". If there is an "INTELLIGENT DESIGNER" there is a way out. If there isn't, enjoy the Atheist party that is being planned as we speak.
The agnostics will be coming out of the closet confirming their leanings. And the moral relativists will be out with their tamborines. The rest of us will have to watch how this experiment works.
Now you mix that with what the Arabs are doing. And tell me what you see? smilies/wink.gif
Augustus "Another Point"
written by dnbaiacu, August 13, 2008
Has it ever occurred to you or anyone that the Catholic church may be assisting and promoting these trade alliances with the Mid East behind the scenes?
The "Pope" fully endorses the U.N., which be intolerant in a time of crisis. His speech in the U.S. this year condemned Islamic extremism. So we know where the "church" stands on the issue. INTOLERANT when and where it serves their interests.
So how do you get a predominately Catholic, and "christian" protestant out of "" passive modeAs we know the population is and has been comfortably so for decades?
You CREATE A THREAT....
None of these people are stupid. We'd like to think they are and that there couldn't be such deviousness and deceit going on.
But that's exactly what "the powers that be" want us to think.
Remember the saying "wolves in sheeps clothing". We ALL know this to be true. YOU know it! That is why you despise religion so much. And so does the INTELLIGENT DESIGNER.
Brazilian businessman are nominal Catholics. I would never put it past the church that they are masterminding Brazils involvement in the coming conflict. They have to get moral support on the part of the masses who are to date, just way too passive. I know PERSONALLY that the average Brazilian just views the rest of the worlds issues as just that.! "It's happening "over there".
NO.. It will happen right in Brazil and people will have to make choices. No more sitting back resting on the laurels of having the "gold mine" that is the Amazon in a "go Green enviroment"
Brazil will have to join the U.N. Pope sponsored party . Like it or not. And the U.N will have a very Left intolerant tone to it. And guess why?
Hello China and Russia! And a financially struggling U.S and W.European economy. smilies/wink.gif

My Lord, I am really upset with your unruly outburst. When did I object to your Aristocratic background? I must confess that I am also disappointed about your "disappointment" with my well educated "peasant background".

I hope you do not, truly, treat any of these issues lightly, particularly the Russian-Georgian conflict!

Lord, I am monitoring this issue closely 24/7 and I sincerely hope that, with your intermediation, the conflict will be resolved soon.

May I remind you that Stalin was the "Monster of Georgia", in case you forgot the history?

Please do convey my best regards to our mutual friend D.N. Baiacu.

written by Augustus, August 13, 2008
If I were to have a fragment of the power & influence you jokingly suggest, I would be in a very serious difficult situation, for while I would naturally side with the Western World sympathy and natural support for Georgia, after having being reminded of the Danger which Middle Eastern terrorists represented (clearly reminded by their infiltration of Brazzil’s Homepage by the Animals, who are clearly attempting to intimidate free individuals who openly express their dismay for their abhorrent way of life), I would unfortunately feel compelled to side with Russia in this unfortunate conflict... WHY? Because the world currently (and regrettably) needs a Strong, Powerful European nation which will NOT care for the human rights we cherished, and thereby will have no hesitation to deal with the terrorist vermin appropriately… As they truly deserve! Russia can deliver it with no “moral impediments”…

Indeed, it’s precisely another monster like Stalin (who of course I know was born in Georgia), given the current threat to secular western civilization... Only creatures such as the Ruthless Georgian, would unfortunately be poised to handle of the issue by sanitizing the Middle East!

"I" am not right.. I just read the script in the "popular book" and fill in the blanks with economics and geo-politics. It's exciting but at the same time sobering.
I wouldn't say no one is listening. They are just quiet. Because it becomes personal when you MAY start to realize that there is something a lot bigger than you wanted to believe ,really going on. And that just in the end you may have to make a decision that hits you to your core. Such as is there "purpose" to everything going on and I have two choices. Go with the flow. Or go on a real search for the real "Master of the Universe" whoever that is.
Silence is golden.. Especially when the only thing you can really say is that "I don't believe in the "popular book".
That's a very personal CHOICE.

To Augustus on "Chaos"
written by dnbaiacu, August 13, 2008
The was a "beginning" .( as man knows it anyway)
A lot of "order" was brought into our universe by whatever there was before....we will never know.

A homosapien was designed to beautify a very orderly planet earth.

His CHOICE not to go with the "order" of things created
CHAOS
A deluge cleans up the chaos temporarily. Very brief.
Continued CHOICES NOTgo with the "order" of things on the part of the masses spreads CHAOS to every end of the planet with the :
TOWER OF BABEL......
Which was actually
a merciful safety check to slow down auto-destruction. The era we will in today would have come millineums ago. We wouldn't be here. .......
Homosapiens are allowed to experiment with every form of government they can think of for the next couple of thousand years with todays result ...

Continued CHAOS

There will have to be another clean sweep to restore the "order of things". Only this time human perfection will be gradually restored WITHOUT the influence of ET's and UFO's that envy their experience withthe 5 senses. (remember these "coveters" loved women, they wanted to know what SEX felt like,,,ooooo weeee smilies/cheesy.gif!)
They won't be around for 1,000 years during this era of "restoration" Man is free to be who they were DESIGNED to be.
But the MASTER lets the ET's out of jail again to see if the perfected homosapeins will make better CHOICES this time..(the MASTER gave the homosapiens this thing called "FREE WILL). Especially given the fact that the issue of the MASTERS sovreignty was brought into question the first go around.
Many of these perfected homosapiens will make a similar choice like their progenitor,, the first homosapien.Wanting to do their own thing. (moral relativism)
Again, another house cleaning of planet earth will take place. And those horrific rebellious , decieving ET's will be put OUT of existence along with their human followers.
Planet earth will be left for those that choose to follow the "order of things" on how to take care of "earth" and themselves properly,,
AS WAS DESIGNED.
It is so simple.
WE complicate it smilies/wink.gif
Most of us read the instructions before using the things we buy .. Right?
First step after opening the box
written by Simpleton, August 13, 2008
is throw out the destructions. If you are really that stupid / disinclined and can't get things connected up properly / working, you can always grant yourself a little humility and go pull them back out of the garbage can. No, DynaCu, very few read the instructions of the things they buy before using them. That's for imbiciles that can't do anything more than fill in the gaps in what they know from the words they read about current economics (i.e. at best nearsighted and past tense - histrionics) and geo-political preturbations (fully or only partially paparazzied).

The next (possibly the last) cleansing will come after all the corners of this world have been spread to, conquered, dominated and possibly devoured leaving no reason for a guard near home base. In purple garb one will approach the gate that has long been closed, disguised, hidden from common knowledge and denied to all for entry. Entry there by that one is to bring about the ultimate release. Brasil should go forward ever so slowly and carefully on such courtships they are undertaking. As our other distinguished bloggers indicate, the title of this article is about as 180 as it gets.
dnbaiacu, the well intentioned good fellow...
written by AUGUSTUS, August 13, 2008
Undoubtedly you are a man who is fully committed to his beliefs and intentions. You spare no effort in providing frequent reminders thereof.

Aware that I have recently made inordinate effort to describe in detail some of my views and beliefs about the way I see the universe – it was a futile effort; although I never quite “presumed” that I could or should convey to you any understanding, I recently realized that, subconsciously, I have taken this approach, in the same way you still do now… It’s an automatic, human reaction one can scarcely recognize.

You have the benefit of an unfailing guideline, a “book” that you value and believe, in unquestionable terms, which endows great advantage to your existence; because this object is capable of providing order and guidance to you and so many others must be perceived as a positive event; the bottom line being, once again, that you mean extremely well!

Given the reassurance and satisfaction I feel, on your behalf, for your comforting convictions, it appears only a matter of fairness to gently remind you that my beliefs are just as determined, and my convictions equally unwavering… regardless who may have thought otherwise… or where such righteous views may have been recorded.

Cheers

An amusing (overly extended) conjecture for dnbaiacu… (triggered by dnb's last entry)
written by AUGUSTUS, August 14, 2008
Firstly, the purpose of this entry is solely for entertainment value, to lighten the knot a bit, following serious disturbing issues, and hard trenched opinions…

The premise to my joke is based on current popular scientific discussions of the m-theory (multi-verse) – which was developed after the String Theorists defeated another group of scientists in a discussion over the number of existing dimensions (believe it or not, they fought over such number being 9 versus 11 – it turns out those who believed in 11 dimensions won). Needless to say, I’m sure, UNLIKE me, you would never believe in such a possibility, thus there is no need for you to pull out quotes to justify reasons why you do not    Since this is just an amusing speculation (the type of which is one of my very favorites), you might consider just taking it lightly as the “weirdly comical speculation” which is the sole intention. I did not read it anywhere, rather I just thought of it, and decided to plot down for you (along D-Dot, Forest, Joao, Simpleton).

In this short story, a brilliant but deranged scientist of a Universe very similar to our own, somehow discovers how to travel in time and go back to Rome at the beginning of the Julian dynasty – just before Caesar is about to set out to conquer Gaulle. Such scientist, fanatical about the Roman Empire, ensured the transmitted to Julius Caesar and Mark Antony significant knowledge in science and possible near future events. Unlike many popular sci-fi stories created on equivalent premise, there is no danger of changing “the present”, for any modification to one’s past, simply automatic trigger the creation of a separate Universe (among many) which would continue unfolding along its distinct course, unaffected by what may have occurred in the others….

The year is the equivalent of 2008 AD – just the number used as a reference is, most likely to be 2110 AC – standing for After (Julius) Caesar’s birth. A group of Privileged school children followed their Tutor during a special visit to the oldest Museum on the Moon – the first Roman colony in space – at the Roma Novae main module. As the children admire the amazing the museum’s façade, ancient looking Doric and Ionic columns, nearly 400 years old, a mere 100 years following Planet Rome’s colonization of space, start querying the impatient tutor about everything they spot along their pathway. Leading through replicas of the Temple of Jupiter, Minerva and Dionysius, the tutor suddenly stumbles’ upon the section devoted for ancient history and early mythologies. Relived for reaching the intended area for his monthly “in locus” class (monthly trips to sites relevant a given Study); after displaying priceless Sumerian, Babylonian and Greek statues and papyrus, which survived not only time but also a space tow to Roma Novae by aboard a ancient Space Galley Freighter, the starts leading the curious pupils to the Early Antlantican religions (Roman-given denomination for America), settled by the Roman Empire in 957 AC, the teacher is interrupted once again, by the most curious of the little rascals, in the group, who eagerly pointed to a curious looking wooden cross at the back of another statue; annoyed, the teacher sighs deeply, deciding to indulge… AH! That? It’s an irrelevant sect of maniacal Judeans who were followers of a Terrorist from Judea. When further asked whether the sect had followers, the teacher explained… “Well, I understand some of his followers attempted to continue spreading the dangerous views of their executed leader, but in a couple of decades or so, they were completely eliminated... Now, just concentrate on import issues for your studies, and leave aside irrelevant minor issues with little or no impact upon the course of History!” And the teacher quickly led the talkative youngsters along….

Hope you enjoyed it

Costinha, good (perhaps young) fellow
I'm afraid the word "simplicity" is missing in my dictionary... Either fortunately or (most likely unfortunately)

Naturally I’m fully aware of what you meant - I have an unfailing proclivity for complicating matters a great deal (and have been that way since a small child) and tend to refer to certain particular issues (utilizing expressions) which most people are unlikely to comprehend (and I make this statement without ANY judgment upon their capabilities or intent to offend their character or intellect). Yet, because I fully expect that the gentlemen with whom I mostly communicate will understand what I’m attempting to express, I generally do not refrain from “being myself” – LOL (Please note that many of the fellows I intend to reach also have a rather critical posture and do not hesitate to punishing me with their objections; yet, because they may have greater experience and exposure, they have no difficulty in “translating” my gibberish… LOL).

Regardless of your opinions on my personality, character, or cumbersome style, you will always be welcome to read them (as well as making any comment – nicely - expressing your dislike or disapproval) of anything I may write or otherwise attempt to express...

Cheers
