VLS at AlcântaraIn 2006 Marcos Pontes, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Brazilian Air Force, became the first Brazilian national to go into space as a member of the crew of the Expedition-13. This event is both a landmark in Brazilian history as well as an interesting example of a developing science that has political, economic and security-related repercussions for space technology in Latin America.

LITTLE HELP ?????????
written by CH.C., September 16, 2008
Once again...you will pretend Brazil had the most AND BEST TECHNOLOGY !!!

I suppose the LITTLE HELP was only to provide the seats.
Everything else......MADE IN BRAZIL, WITH BRAZILIAN TECHNOLOGY, BRAZILIAN KNOW HOW, BRAZILIAN COMPUTERS, BRAZILIAN SOFTWARE. !!!!

No one on earth, really no one are more pretentious than.....BRAZILIANS !!!!!!

You cant even build a car by your own.
How could you have the technology and know how to go to...SPACE.....with only a LITTLE HELP...fron Russia, China and France ?????

Come on, stop flying high in your minds. BACK TO EARTH...PLEASE !

Somewhat right...but the other way around !

Why dont illegal Brazilians stop entering the USA or the EU ?

If you want a job, ask Lula. He has plenty of it apparently in view that you have an economic boom.
Only junkies leave their country when there is an economic boom in their own country.

You may as well ask a job to Chavez, your cousin.

Or ask to Russia and India or China, the other members of the exclusive club called BRIC....in full economic boom greater than Brazil !!!!

Stop begging at the WTO for the developed nations agricultural subsidizes. Because at the latest negotiation table, it was INDIA AND CHINA WHO DISAGREED.....AND WANTED NOT TO OPEN MORE THEIR AGRICULTURAL GOODS IMPORT TO....BRAZIL GOODS....TO PROTECT THEIR OWN FARMERS.

You have been well cornered...by your friends.

Ohhhh and even the Bimbo Fernandez was AGAINST more open borders for IMPORTS !!!!!!!!!!

yESSSSS...LEAVE TGHE DEVELOPED NATGIONS ALONE. We have been growing WITHOUT BRAZIL FOR DECADES AND DECADES.
And none of the developed nations BORROWED foreign currencies as much as BRAZIL DID !
NO ONE, not even China.

Keep your ethanol, your charcoal, your soyabeans, your corn, your meat.
We have produced that decades before you even started.
Quite laughable you cant produce quality seeds, but are 90 % dependants
on foreign seeds.
You could even stop exporting your cheap quality Coffee.
Other producing countries would be quite happy, that Brazil stops subsidizing their coffee farmers.

Ridiculous "little help" // Learn to walk before flying
written by Augustus, October 01, 2008
CH-C is totally right. There is no way Brazilian technology could venture into space with just a "little help" from other major powers...

In fact, as much as I love and encourage space exploration, poorer third world countries should concentrate on the basics like poverty, education, crime and infra-structure!

It's ridiculous to try FLYING straight from CRAWLING... Let's learn to walk and run first!

CH-C is totally right

CH.C is not totally right all the time. I would say around 90% of the time. BUT....BUT....., with our coaching , he may turn around to be 100% right. smilies/wink.gif smilies/cheesy.gif smilies/grin.gif
