anyone living in brazil for the last 20 years knows that some things have aligned up with lula's administration

bottom line ,thank god he is not like chavez

the world is nuts these days, the chinese marxists have turned capatilist, the usa , the bastion of capatalism , just made a socialist move, south america is crisscrossed with variations on a theme

its funny , and, pathetic, to think so much energy and time and lives were lost in the last 70 years , because of idealistic lines drawn in the sand

In short,, no one really knows what they are doing smilies/wink.gif!
The whole point of the last 6,000 year experiment we have had to endure as humans.

The better kingdom starts in your own head. Study your "innate constitution"
I well know, O Lord, that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.
Jerimiah 10:23
All this I have seen, and there was an applying of my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, [during] the time that man has dominated man to his injury.
Ecclesiastes 8:9
The proof exists that we weren't designed to rule ourselves. We are living the results of choosing to guide ourselves.
Thank GOD we are given a guide to NAVIGATE through the mess smilies/wink.gif smilies/smiley.gif

Brazil. Brazil is one of the biggest emerging markets in the world. We are the biggest food producer on the planet. We have the richest biodiversity on Earth and we have recently found out that we will soon become one of the biggest oil producers in the world.

Then just why are so many people in your own country undernourished!!!! smilies/cry.gif smilies/cry.gif

The Brazilian Model ! We are the biggest food producer on the planet. !!!!!
written by ch.c., October 30, 2008
WHAT A JOKE !!!!

Brazil is by Noooooo means the biggest food PRODUCER on the planet !
PRODUCING is one thing......EXPORTING is another thing !!!!

But idiots are 100 % sure this is the SAME !!!!!
Idiots will remain Idiots for Life....guaranteed !

the Brazilian Model :
- the World Highest Wealth...INEQUALITY
- The World Highest Government interests rates....after inflation
- One of the World Lowest education Quality, even when measured by Brazilians themselves
- A HIGH corruption system
- Individuals borrowing money ? No problem ! Interests Rates : 35 % for cars, 60 % for Consumers goods, 230 % for overdrafts. But as Lula instructed you....Keep Shopping, Keep Spending !
- Small & medium size corporations borrowing money ? No problem but at an average interest rate of....40 % !
- 5 % of paved roads and overall lack of infrastructure !
- High bureaucracy....LOW efficiency PLUS red tape at all levels
- Exports per capita : US$ 1000.-
- Most large Brazilians companies prefer to borrow abroad in US$, in order NOT to pay the MORE THAN HIGH interests rates...in their own currency !
- Based on its GDP per capita, Brazil has the World Highest Rate of...POVERTY !!!!!! Many emerging nations with lower per capita GDP
have a LOWER POVERTY RATE AND BETTER EDUCATION...than Brazil !!!
- Low quality Healthcare

LAUGH...LAUGH...LAUGH...LAUGH !!!!!

Last but not least for Brazil Grains Production :

90 % of the seeds are made by ....FOREIGN COMPANIES !!!!

And just refer to yesterday news that it will become more and more true
even for SUGARCANE seedlings !!!!!!!!!!!!

- Your 1000 Municipalities having brothels providing...SEX WITH CHILDREN AND MINORS !!!!!!!!!

Go and shake hands or heads in the regular Lula public interviews...or in...Coffee with the President !!!!!!

Sorry but contrary to the one that said "thank He is not like Chavez"
lez me say that his rethorics are very much the same as Chavez the Clown !!!!!!!!!!!

But you are INFORTUNATELY RIGHT CONCERNING HUNGER IN BRAZIL !

This is what I wrote many many times here for the last 5 years : SHAMEFUL TO EXPORT US$ 50 BILLION OF FOOD ANNUALLY...WHEN WELL OVER THAN 45 MILLIONS OF BRAZILIANS ARE UNDER NOURRISHED !

But the Brazilian Government and the minority elite prefer to have US$ dollars in their pockets, rather than filling the empty bellies of their own poor citizens.

And it is even more shameful coming from Brazil that is not ranked as a poor country but more as a middle income country.

Even Worse is the fact that based on the per capita GDP, Brazil has the World Highest POVERTY rate !!!!!!!

A real Human Tragedy ! An insult to Human Dignity !
Sorry to question you Dn

"Your English is AMAZING!
I only hope to get as good in Portuguese.!"

I'm of the opinion that JDS's better half is not English (nor getting rusty as the good fellow seems to be suggesting) but I agree, given his obviously high caliber as an individual and influential force on here, it would be less than speculation that she is AMAZING. As to the Portuguese, they are not universally liked in Brasil - you may want to avoid them. BTW, didn't someone say something about it being better to "give" than to "get" or have I been going about things there all the wrong way (unselfish as it is that I am)? Dealing with things that are tragic or nearly so in as dignified a manner as one can muster is not for the weak of heart, mind, and (if Auggie will forgive me for taking such lattitude) sole.

chaves will set aside a day of mourning for a farc leader, he calls the usa s**t,he will blame the cia for anything , like his co horts , morales and correa,he is an unending blow hard , that is creating unnecsasary waves in south america , he makes scary sweeping mandates that charactorise what is bad about marxist leaning leaders...

compared to chaves , lula is a breath of fresh air (most of the time). they are ideolicaly linked , but, lula doesnt wear his on his sleeve.

im not a person who jumps to defend lula, but, as a person who doesnt trust the pt,i have to admint, once they got in power, they didnt castroise the country. and, like i said, anyone who has lived here for the last 20 years, has to notice that things on certain fronts did improve. where cordoso seemed to just get stuck in the mud, some things broke through and moved ahead under the lula administration

they inherited quite a few of the statistics you mention.all the poverty , corruption and inequality you mention , was firmly in place before they took office.

You are absolutely right. She is not English, but a full blooded Brazilian, though she could speak English and French. Hates to speak Spanish (I think it is due to the small town mentality).Or she could be a big snob.

but I agree, given his obviously high caliber as an individual and influential force on here,

I disagree on both accounts. smilies/wink.gif

Cheers, Simpleton. A great blogger you are. smilies/smiley.gif

written by Simpleton, November 06, 2008
spanish and can't speak that either. Hearing it tends to confuse the crap out of me or at least interrupt the internal dialog in pt. (Okay, well, I'm confused more often than I would like and some say I'm full of crap on occasion but one issue rarely contributes to the other.) So your masteress has a pure indigenous heredity being full blooded and all? Small town mentalities suit me just fine. You rarely find elitists there unless someone marries one and gets them to move there in preference over the big city.

On your country the major industry is Money Laundering - money from drug cartels, or any other type of dirty money, and so on...

That defines your country.

Do I need to say anything else?

.
Dear Idiot Ricardo Amaral !
written by ch.c., November 08, 2008
To my knowledge the Brazilians capitals for money launderers and tax evaders are....MIAMI AND NEW YORK !!!!

FEEL FREE TO SAY MORE !

Concerning what defines my country you should first look at the many
World Rankings published on many different subjects !!!!
And then compare these rankings to....the Brazil ranking !

Dear idiot Ricardo "Admiral", do I need to tell you more ?????

On drugs, let me laugh. Just revisit how the USA ranks Brazil !

As I said so many times, iditots like you will remain idiots for life.
That is in your soul and genes. My only hope is that you dont transmit these diseases to your children. They deserve much better. Theys are not responsible for their father idioty !

Your country is a little bigger than the state of New Jersey with a labor force of 4 million people (a large part work in the banking business Laundering Dirty Money) and it has a GDP of US$ 300 billion dollars.

The United States in the last 2 years paid over US$ 450 billion per year in interest on the US outstanding debt.

This is how immaterial your country is in world affairs.

Switzerland’s best-known product is called: RICOLLA.

If there is an idiot among us I can guarantee that is not me. You keep comparing your little piss ass country with a real country such as Brazil.

You can’t grasp that Brazil is 206 times bigger than Switzerland, and the Brazilian population is 29 times larger than Switzerland’s.

If you want to compare your country with Brazil – then compare it with the city of Sao Paulo – even in that comparison your country has only 1/3 of the population of that city in Brazil.

Maybe we should compare your country with a suburb of the city of Sao Paulo that would be a better comparison.

Let’s put things in the correct perspective regarding world affairs – your country it is like a little corner Café an immaterial little business on the other hand Brazil is like a major multinational such as Petrobras. And you keep comparing your small corner Café with a real company.

Well, Ricardo, there are more little bitty countries in the world than Great Big ones. Why not compare on the basis of income per capita, output per capita, infrastructure and percentage of population that can read, write, and do basic math? Israel is a tiny country but several years ago sent at their own expense, groups of Iraelis to NE Brazil to help Brazilians in certain development projects where it was felt that the Israelis had the edge. Development and citizen well-being is not a function of the sheer size of a country.

Compare Singapore with Pakistan, for one example.

Think about that whenever you hear: RRIICCOOLLAA!!

Might want to consider why all sides of WW2 agreed to leave Switzerland alone while the entire continent on all sides around here blazed in war. That is because Switzerland was the banker for both sides, funding both sides - Both sides of the war funded by the Rothschild dynasty.
The only thing Switzerland produces is Wars, drug mafia, child-sex slave cartels, and money laundering.

Pretty good deal funding both sides of a war

The loser still owes you with interest.
The winner pays their loans with the spoils of the loser.
You get paid back by both sides. Can't lose.

2000 years of history of the little money handlers and you claim they sent some help at "their own expense". Pleasssssse.

Well I guess, you know, never look a gift horse in the mouth. You might spot a century of Trojans hiding inside and refuse the gift.

Let me guess - Was it IT help they offered? All Israeli IT companies are 50% Military owned. Here is something about Israeli IT and Trojan Horses:

The story is far far far bigger than that. The same technology was implemented in British intelligence services, with a little help from our "trusty" Israeli "friends".

"We are the biggest food producer on the planet..."
written by bo, November 26, 2008
Don't you think that someone would check their facts BEFORE they pay to have something printed in the New York Times?

Brazil is nowhere close to the United States in overall food production. Not even close.

Also, take it from a small to medium sized foreign investor in Brazil that coerced his european partners to invest 5 years ago. My advice is simply this.....DON'T!

The beaurocracy is simply ridiculous, books could be written about it. Getting money in and especially back out of Brazil is troublesome at best. At times can take weeks to liquidate a bank transfer AFTER it has arrived in Brazil. One of the highest overall tax rates on the planet and if you employ people, well, be prepared to conform to employment law that is 100% in favor of the employee. Doesn't matter if the employer is right or wrong, the employee just needs to take the employer to court, the employee will win, regardless of the circumstances.

There are far too many other countries in the world that actually not only welcome foreign investment with their words, but also by their existing foreign investment structure. Once a foreigner invests in Brazil he will soon discover that the existing system in Brazil is as if they do not want foreign investment whatsoever.

I made a similar statement a couple of years ago in a c**ktail party with half a dozen Labor Court judges present on our current "Labor Laws". There was a pin drop silence and for rest of the evening "Their Lordships" decided to leave me alone without coming out with more bulls**t lectures as how to "Valorizar os trabalhadores". smilies/cheesy.gif
