Rich in Sugar, Gold and Now Oil, Brazil Needs to Develop Its Greatest Wealth: the Brain PDF Print E-mail
2009 - September 2009

Brazil's offshore oilWhen Brazil became rich through the exportation of sugar, there was no way of debating the destiny of the resources it brought. We were a mere colony, and the idea of economic progress had not yet been created. When the gold prospecting began, Brazil, likewise, was still a slave-ocrative colony, and the gold did us no good.

Brazil is so rich with SUGARCANE .......
written by ch.c., September 26, 2009
that in the most wealthy and its largest sugarcane production state (SP)
the harvesting is still done 55 % manually !
Meaning with a much higher number in others states !
And the salaries of sugarcane workers are obviously small, very small !
and their daily cuttings has to be 10-12 tons a day, otherwise they even earn less !

And this despite mechanical harvesters exist for DECADES !
Australia has 100 % sugarcane harvesting since....1980 or nearly 3 decades ago ! Brazil is at 35 % or lower nationwide...in 2009 !

Viva Brazil Sugar Wealth !

Once again a college professor & senator blaming the colonizer for brazil's Ill's, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Waht Portugal did or din't do has no direct bearing on the fact that Brazil ahs had 188 years to get thir act together.
As far as i'm concerned i am glad that your country suffers because the injustices/lies that have been written about the colonizer & the disdain that you & every filth of tht Grand FAvekla exhibts.
Praga is too good a word/suffer to no end, i sur enjoy seeing it everyday.
Until the fAvela changes it's consciences & makes the proper alignments, you will always take one step forward & 5 back. LOL,LOL.

Actually Allah has perfected the brain for all humans so their is no need to develop "Brasil's brain." What you do need to know is how to properly deploy and align your intellects in an organized manner and in a group setting. That way, the people in the room can access a superior MIND during their meeting in the Brazilian Boardroom or the poolside. Haha. LOL. Ate logo. smilies/grin.gif
Agree 100%

I agree 100% with Buarque on this. He has his priorities right.

Now what should be done: execution of this plan. And this is easier said that done, considering the huge inertness and passivity of the Brazilian society.

Methinks to pull this off is a harder task than, say, to build a brand new capitol on Planalto.
