US ambassador to Brazil Thomas ShannonNine months after President Barack Obama took office, Washington still lacks two of its key Latin America policy-makers. Obama's nominations for Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Arturo Valenzuela, and Ambassador to Brazil, Dr. Thomas Shannon, have been placed on "hold" by Senator Jim DeMint, a Republican from South Carolina, over objections to the Obama administration's handling of the coup in Honduras.

THE US NEEDS A STRONG PRESENTS IN BRAZIL EMBASSY
written by Forrest Allen Brown, October 31, 2009
not another yes man .
the embassy is there to help US citisens in trouble in brazil not to sell visas to rich brasilians .

to ask qusetions and to get answers on items like the goldman bot .
the brasilian woman hiding in brazil after killing her Marine Corps husband after he came back alive from the war.

to protect US tourtist being robed in brazil by gangs and the police .

not a yes man to go to parties and suck up to lula and have no real back bone

senator Jim DeMint is doing a service to his cause and many more senators are looking into joining him .

Oh give me a break

I care less about DeMint, Republicans or Democrats and you Allen Brown in Forrest Land, you don't even understand yourself. DeMint is playing politics like they all do..same crap. I say..throw them all out..and I mean All.

I vote for: Honduras, Guatemala, Belize, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica - all these countries should become new provinces of Mexico.

I feal the same way about putting them all out on the streets

but we know that wont happen dont we as you and many others talk the talk but dont walk the walk .

do you know in the contstution there is a line that says at any time the people can and have the right to .
demand the right to vote out any member of congress or on laws that affect to population , that they feel is not in tere best instrest.

has any news agence ever placed it up for a call to vote , there is even a place where the people can over ride the surprem court rulings if the people feal the law is not warnted by the population.

to me term limits on every one who is elicted , or appointed . even the surprem court.
but again that wont happen .
Until the US comes up with a 3 or 4 party to stop all the entitlements.
frebies, and good old boys it will remain the same .

so go to your tea parties get on the net and form a political party like the laraza teamsters , auto workers union , militatymunion . and get them to back a person get the work out then you may stand a chance.

Ricardo C. Amaral and people of the US vote to put people like you out of the us along with all the other illeagles .
break up brazil in 5 parts giving them to chaves , eurbie, morlas ,the US and europ .

that makes as much sence as your statment

about taxes in the US ???

my money is not in the states and i pay no taxes on what i make outside the states.

dems and repubs are all the same to me just taking all they can
with no cares as they dont have to worrie about there retirment as they voted themselves the best they could make , same as retirment the best we can give them .

as ive said before, im always going on business trips, mostly to the states , before sometimes to europe...

my business is a small one , and is very visceral and can be in the richest of locations or the poorest, around the rich, the famous and the poor and average and middle class, it can put me around prostitutes or police , gang fights and lavish parties ...and there is lugging of cumbersom and burdening equipment...long hors, and lots of funky surroundings...it is some real physuical blue collar work, but goddamn fullfilling...i am passionate for my work

it is a financial risky businss ,like a casino, there are periods with ups and downs...feast or famine...boring moments then surrounded with the highest energy jolt adrenilin hits

i had some ups before i came to brazil, enough to buy a super cheap apartment and have a little taste coming in addition to the work i would do in the moment...

because the places i make money are a smorgasboard of places and amounts earned, there is a third or more from the usa, along with the money that was earning for me. that was based in the usa...

yeah, i earn in brazil also, but, thanks to bush,as well as the dollar going down enormasly on his watch, the economic crises wiped out 30 percent of the money that i would make in my business deals and that i had saved to earn for me...

everything is shrunk and diminished, and there is inflation here ...

worst of all, the little nest egg i was hoping to pass down to my son is full of swiss cheese holes....i am a small business man fighting against the big corps

this is why i hate these republican bitches most of all.i am just like a lot of americans trying to build something to retire on and leave a little for my kid....these bitches have ruined and wrecked it for me...not obama...bush and his dickheads...

how could they do that with a poorly planned iraq war, and , under their unregulated greed, where the richer get richer and the rest of us sink to poverty, they let the foundation of our economic well being go straight to hell in a hand basket? they f**king f**ked with people being able to help their children...i absolutly hate the son of a bitches

they scream about socialisme, they ridicule obama, who at least kept the ship from totaly bottoming out...they have their ridiculas tea parties and town hall angers...yeah, well i am angry at them,i hope they choke on their own bile ,f**k them

It is a lost war, my friend. The old motto "Small is beautiful" is no longer applicable in Brasil. Believe me. Honesty is no longer the best policy. The current motto is "You are with me or against me". You should read articles about how VARIG was wiped out or why the Brasilians do not remember TELEBRAS.

Talking about Socialism, we are happy to be ruled by Sorbonne trained Sociologists and intellectuals. They are going to bring joy and felicity to all our underprivileged compatriots. Be happy that you are the part of the revolution. smilies/wink.gif
fantastic, joao, ill put all my eggs in that basket...
written by asp, November 01, 2009
... yeah, i know its a lost cause...

have you seen those fish in japan where they cut them off in the middle of their bodies and their mouths just keep flapping and opening and closing.....i guess that is all i am doing now...cut off in the middle going through the motions, the proverbial flapping of my lips and my mouth openingt and closing...kind of what im doing in here
YES my business is down some but i need a break any way
written by Forrest Allen Brown, November 01, 2009
the trick is nt to be caught up in all the hype.

neather party is doing for the people , they are doing for themselves and big business.

what do they care if you tax them in one way they will just move there money to another covering law that is made for there and the good old boys.

i keep my business moveing never set up in one place to long as when you get to wnere people know you by face or name , so the tax man comes wanting its money for nothing .

ASP if you are a fish with a half a bodie you are bettter off than most , look at joao has a very good home but low lifes have moved into his once nice place and now he is stuck with a place he wont be able to sell until the police clean the place up or some rich gang member wants his house.

at least with a cheep apartment you have little worrie about it going down hill farther .

me and my boat well the increse in pirates has forced me to take on larger wepons , a radar system with grater range ,have to sleep so lightley ,and some ports are not worth going into as if you leave your boat they will take it when you are ashore , and kill you dogs.
and the navys and police are like they are in brazil .

thay dont care just like most politicans covering there own

I met a DJ a few months back they lost all there records and mix table at a port of entry , because they did not have a permit to work in the country so all there stuff was taken till they left but was given to some one elese instead so back to the US for more stuff and stay where they feel they are safer

what a life

Thanks Forrest. You expressed my thoughts in a more eloquent and logical manner. But one has to stand and fight which I am doing. I might go over to Tahiti in early or Mid 2010 to escape the "circus".

ASP is no different. A good man who enjoys the good things that Brasil offers, but honest people like him can not fight the gangs.

You still in Paulau?

sounds like you are where you want to be , and, that is great...

you are right about a cheap apartment...ive been stuck in it 16 or so years,i would have paid much more if i had rented somewhere else , upkeep is cheap,im cheap....and if i dont commit to a mortage anywhere,i have extra mobility now, being able to make risks in business...yeah, thanks for that insight

i do have a bomb accountant that helps immensly with my business

joao, didnt know you had gang problems ? wow....that is bad, hope you do ok...that s**t is spreading...we had 5 burglaries just on the small street next to us....

Actually, my friend, it started in this neighborhood and spread to yours. Forrest is absolutely right and he isn't kidding. You wouldn't believe the absurd prices they are charging in other neighborhoods. I went in to see some and it is unbelievable. I could get two houses in CA for a cubbyhole here. I suggest you hang on there as I am. I ain´t going to sell mine for peanuts. Do you remember the advice I gave to Charlie Scott?

BTW, I think that the worse is yet to come and don't be surprised if we opt for the "Mexican Solution". Forrest must know what I am talking about.
