Brazilian Music as an Antidote to Bush's Depression and 9/11 PDF Print E-mail

Tom Lellis sings Brazilian musicEven the most cursory listen to Tom Lellis will establish a few key identifying traits: a richly melodic voice, an agility and accuracy that enables him to scat with an extra degree of daring, his throwaway sense of time over a metric pulse, the company of top-drawer talent, and a way of experiencing a song and expressing to the listener what the words and melody mean to him, in the most direct and honest means possible.

Bush - The greatest danger to world peace.
written by racureiu, September 10, 2006
When you combine cowboy culture with pentagon's vision of world domination... the result is "disastrous" to every person of good will on earth.

However, nature's tendency to balance events will see that justice prevails eventually.

Bruce: I love Tom's album, too. I spoke with him in October and asked if would consider singing some of my Brasilian tunes--this brings me to my point. I have a Brasilian jazz band named Zone Azul. We recently completed our first cd--"Fim da Fronteira." Since I sing only passably at best, I am looking to Tom to provide a voice and style to some of the tunes--still, the cd is nice enough on its own according to Tom (he is considering singing two of the songs).

You can listen to the cd at a special site---zoneazul.net/listen. I would love to send you the cd as well and hope for a review.
Would you please listen and let me know what you think? You know it is tough even for Tom to get the exposure he deserves; you can imagine how tough it is for a business professor in Salt Lake City whose heart is still pounding away under the warm shadows of Dois Irmaos.

Thanks--I hope to hear from you
