Honor and Glory to the Dutch Who Ended Brazil's Farce and Sent All Back to Work PDF Print E-mail
2010 - July 2010
Written by Janer Cristaldo

World cup Brazilian fans Anyone who knows me also knows that I'm happy today. A Gaucho friend used to ask me if I didn't have a team. When I answered that I had a team, but only during the World Cup, Brazil had already made a goal.

What's my team? Anyone, as long as they are playing against Brazil. World Cups are my astral hell, as I've said before. In the previous game, against Portugal, I managed to find a restaurant that had no television. Miracolo! - I thought to myself.

Holy illusion. At three pm - I always have lunch late - all employees had disappeared and a perplexed waiter looked at me expecting me to ask for the bill.

With the first goal today, I lost any hope of peace. I was already beginning to deal with the idea of a hexachampionship when, at 1:08 pm I get an email from another dear friend of mine: "Something very good happened today ... and the noisy herd will now start to hide their horns in the bag. Are you gonna write on the subject? Kisses."

Kiss back. How not to write? Few things make me as happy as seeing Brazil losing a World Cup. Then it ends this obscene binge. But the reader shouldn't assume that I'm willing to cheer for any team. The truth is that I didn't even know the outcome of the match. I went to UOL and found out that my beloved homeland was kicked to a corner. Pardon the pun,

Save Holland pendant of hope,
Save august symbol of peace.
Thy noble presence to our minds,
The misery of the nation brings.

I do not like puns. "C'est la fiente de l'esprit" (They are the droppings of the mind), said Balzac. But today I could not resist it. I'll have peace in the coming days. Honor and glory to the brave Dutch, who made the country go back to work and ended this yellow-green farce.

I confess I do not know what causes me more disgust in these days of loathing, if the noise of horns and firecrackers or the uniform mediocrity.

A little earlier, an angry reader - and probably psychoanalyzed -  wrote me: "If you do not like people, joy, you should rush to find yourself a psychoanalyst, life is passing and you cannot enjoy what is most human."

I like people, yes. And I also like joy. Who doesn't? But I don't like either this rabble or this fanatical joy. I'm no exception. I have no soccer fan in my small circle. I choose my friends very carefully and I don't run the risk of seeing any of them dressed in green and yellow.

Incidentally, the fraternization emails are starting to pop. Piaia, one of my faithful interlocutors, writes: "All hail the Dutch people!"

Yesterday, I read somewhere some statement of some popular idol, I think an Yankee, claiming that 50 million people cannot be wrong. It is exactly the opposite. 50 million are certainly wrong. One hundred million, even more so.

Intelligence does not grow on trees. When I see a thought shared by millions of people, I know it must be silliness. I'm going further: if I had one day a hundred thousand readers, I would look in the mirror and ask Cristaldo what kind of bullshit he's been writing.

All hail the Dutch people! All! All! All!

Phd or no Phd --- this man is a complete idiot. Ok, you have every right to hate soccer. But to cheer against your own nation just so
people will have to 'go to work' is outright... I have no words. Get a life.

Before judging if the author is a complete idiot, would like to know if in the good ole U.S. of A, the people stop working during the World Cup when their team plays.
US of A

I'm American, and yes, many of us stop working when our team plays. What does that have to do with anything? The author is still a loser.
Laughs...laughs...laughs !
written by ch.c, July 02, 2010
WHY ?
Because as usual Robbing Hook and his 191 millions co-citizens WERE WRONG ! AND LOST !

Viva the Netherland !

And here, Geneva, we also saw plenty of yellow and green T-shirts.
National pride has Noooo limit for brazilians.
So much they wear yellow and green t-shirts...all year long in Brazil, not only during whatever soccer cups !

And to JEC the Gringo : Noooo doubt Americans love to also wear their army uniforms.
And believe it or not YOU have still not won in Afghanistan despite having spent hundreds and hundreds billion dollars since the invasion 9 years ago !
And not yet found the first gram of WMD in Iraq, despite having spent even more hundredsss billion dollars.
Obama new mottos are :
- in Afghanistan...YESSSSS WE CAN'T !
- in Iraq....YESSS WE CAN'T !
- DEBTS reduction....YESSS WE CAN'T !

And normal you stop working when america teams play. You dont have enough jobs anyway when america teams dont play !

Hmmmm...hmmmmm !

Ohhhh and about "I think an Yankee, claiming that 50 million people cannot be wrong."
written by ch.c, July 02, 2010
No doubt this Yankee got a Harvard University licence.
He is sure Brazil has a 50 millions population.
That is why he became a popular idol in America.

But...but...listening to North Americans they are always right...they pretend !
Suffice to go back a few years ago when their CDA (Central Dis-information Agency) proved to the world that Iraq was still full of WMD. They even provided satelites pictures as formal proofs.
Wellll....after having looked looked looked and looked again and having spent many many hundreds billion dollars.....NOT A GRAM FOUND THUS FAR !
And believe it or not, all those americans pretending Iraq was full of WMDs have themselves a "prestigious" American University Licence !
Many of them even got Ph.D, or Masters degrees !

Even the appareng brightest of them all, such as Greens-pants and Bernan-hook said there was no real estate problems in the autumn of 2007.
Welll...thus far they have been wrong by several trillion dollars....and keep counting ! Keep counting because in reality they also keep hiding the sad truth.

Ahhhh...ahhhhh !

Viva America who love shooting in their own rear while trying to shoot in the rear of others !

Over here we say....Magnificent AUTO-GOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAALLLLLLL !

In my humble view Americans should better have Universities teaching....BASIC COMMON SENSE !
Nooo doubt that they will have a brighter future, eventually !
Suffice to go back a few years ago when their CDA (Central Dis-information Agency) proved to the world that Iraq was still full of WMD.
written by Peter King, July 02, 2010
Dear sir. You actually have to go back to the late 1990's when the UN inspectors left Iraq and confirmed that all WMD's were not accounted for. It was 5 years since then that inspectors were LET back in as a result of the U.S. military sitting on their borders. Please provide us with all DOCUMENTED proof you, ch.c, has of what happened to the weapons that the U.N. inspectors lost track of in that five year period. Again, please provide documented proof as opposed to a diatribe.

Thank you and God love you.

(We can post the U.S. Congressional Use of Force Resolution 2002 and go through the many reasons America invaded a country that violated a cease fire agreement afterwards if you want to be exposed as a completely asinine popinjay.
To Peter King...sorry...sorry
written by ch.c, July 03, 2010
YO0 ARE WRONG !
Reality is that the IAEA went there far more than once and for long missions.
Dr. Mohamed Mostafa ElBaradei was the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), an inter-governmental organization under the auspices of the United Nations.
ElBaradei's activities brought him into conflict with the United States in the twin trouble spots of Iraq and Iran, but the Nobel Prize (in 2005, without the U.S, support, of course), and his subsequent reappointment signaled a strong vote of confidence from the international community.
He confirmed time and again that Iraq was cleaned out of WMDs, well before the U.S. invasion.

Wellll then obviously as we all know, or should recall, America found another excuse, namely invading Iraq JUST to arrest Saddam...the axe of the evil !

Everything I say can be easily find out by surfing the net.

Stupid question to Peter King....are you part of the CDA (Central Dis-information Agency) ?
Such as question because you are pretending the exact opposite of the truth. Just like the CDA.
If not, then you are an idiot or eventually a nice guy who got the Alzheimer disease. In such a case a daily overdose of magnesium may help your memory !

As to the proofs you requested they are more than simple : NOT ONE GRAM OF WMD FOUND, since the 2003 invasion to this day in 2010 !
And despite having spent many hundreds and hundreds billion dollars...funnily !

So up to you Peter King the idiot and the Americans to prove that there are WMDs.
I just remind you that the CDA and its commanders in chief such as Bush Jr, Powell and other generals have shown satelite pictures "as proofs" of these WMDs existed.
SO...WHERE ARE THEY ??????
Wellll they were just in the lies of the Gringos, until proven otherwise.

I suggest you review your cheap copy full of voluntary errors (lies).
In the meantime feel free to continue shooting in your own very very very fat rear !
Facts being you are trapped like a rat at your own game.
But having no desire to lose face, many additional hundreds billions dollars are going to be spent.

You better read or re-read what even some americans are saying, namely they are NOT going to win the war, neither in Iraq nor in Afghanistan.

Curiously and suddenly, fairly recently, the gringos pretend there is a trillion dollars worth of commodities in Afghanistan.
Wellll this is just an excuse to stay there for several more years.
Not to mine these commodities that dont exist, but NOT TO LOSE MORE FACE YOU ALREADY LOST !
Time will prove the world that there is not a MILLION dollars of valuable commodities in Afghanistan, just the same that there is NOT one gram of WMD in Iraq !!!!

Ahhhh....ahhhhh...ahhhh...ahhhh...ahhhhh !
Not a Gram?

Common sense dictates that you should answer too, which you did not.
Common sense dictates that after many years of looking, and many hundreds billion dollars spent, the cheap gringos should have found at least 2 pounds or so of WMDs, which they did not to this day.

And then you pretend that the fatty gringos are the sharpest knvives on earth, since I am not.

As I told you dear triple fatty idiot, everything I said and pretend is available free of charge on the net.
Suffice to surf, which you did not.
And available from many many many different sources.
But triple fatty idiots like you prefer to play the ostriches game.

Here is one site within many more available if you wish, proving everything I said.

http://www.answers.com/topic/mohamed-elbaradei

Better yet, this is an american site, not a from the middle east...for example.

And to be fair with you, I challenge you to provide me a site, even an american one if you prefer, showing the side of YOUR version of the facts with all the history.

Triple idiot, triple beer belly, triple burger rear having at most a corn grain in your cervix YOU ARE CHESSMATE !!!

As chessmate as you are trapped in Afghanistan and Iraq due to your filthy game, I say with a huge smile...LONG LIFE TO YOUR STAY IN IRAQ AND AFGHANISTAN !
I remind you that initially you said it was for a short time incursion ! Bad luck...idiots !

And let me open another window on this same subject :
When Obama was campaigning to be elected, he clearly said more than once....that America will soon get out of Iraq and Afghanistan rather if HE is elected.
But...but...a few weeks after his nomination, he doubled the troops in Afghanistan. Not being enough he then asked for even more troops.
More soldiers for both Iraq and Afghanistan and obviously with more budget, not less.
And as we all know HE got the Nobel Peace Prize...while intensifying these 2 wars !!!!!

Ohhhh my...ohhh my....what a strange world we live in !

On the other side dont worry, because I truly love americans. And I really mean it sincerely.
WHY ? One of the reason within many others is that I CAN READ YOUR LIPS !
Short memory ?
Get inspired,it says it all !

In the meantime enjoy your REAL ESTATE MASSIVE COLLAPSE that is NOT OVER YET !
You really deserve it. Both the lenders and the borrowers.
You shooted in your own rear once more, and now you get another Magnificent AUTO-GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLL!
But to provide you some recomfort dont worry you a closer to the bottom than the PIIGS countries, including France by the way !
Their real estate meltdown will be as deep as yours, but simply more stretched in time !

No doubt in my mind that You Peter King the smart, had bottom fished AIG at 30-40, Citigroup at 20-30, AIG & FNM at 30-40, and GM at 12-16 !
And on top of that was over leverage in your real estate and with many credit cards to pay your bills and foods and paying a debt with another debt !

And for the cherry on the cake...presently jobless !

Ohhhh my...ohhhh my... what a great opportunity of buying out the losers at a very cheap price for those who are what is called the value buyers or the strong money in opposition to the crowd to whom you belong Peter King.

To end my tit and tat on a smiling and satyric note, here is a very good video on GOOD BYE BUSH

http://www.theonion.com/video/bush-tours-america-to-survey-damage-caused-by-his,14247/

I am an Indian and love this Brazilian team. Its hard to believe that a Brazilian does not take pride in his own team. What joy this team has given us. I am deeply depressed that Brazil lost to Holland. I console myself with the knowledge that this team is better than all the other teams put together. The Japanese referee was biased against Brazil and denied them a corner kick.Brazil lost because they discarded their yellow and green for blue. All blue teams had to exit. France, Italy. And Brazil in blue...
To the Indian....and Brazil in blue.....
written by ch.c, July 03, 2010
You should have said : and Brazil in blues !
And today Argentina also OUT ! In my view Maradona is a has been.
When back home he probably will get another addiction to coke not Coke !

Anyway, remain those put aside in the Mercosur, namely Uruguay and Paraguay.
Although I am not a soccer fan, I believe that Ghana is still on course.
And Germany and the Netherland.

My heart is for Paraguay or Ghana, although I have doubts they will end up as the cup winners.
Nonetheless these 3 countries (Uruguay included) were out of favor and have shown a Magnificent thumb nose to much larger countries with so much deeper pockets.

I am not a "Soccer Patriot", but a soccer fan (only during the World Cup). Ghana was eliminated by Uruguay yesterday on Penalty. Today Paraguay was sent home by the Spaniards. Yes, the Germans massacred the Argentinians today.

I think the finals will be between the Germans and Dutch.

With all due respect, I don't see any point with discussing military issues with a Swiss. I would hope that the bravery of the U.S. speaks for itself in it's contribution to peace in your particular country. If the U.S. didn't storm the beaches on D-Day, most certainly Operation Tannenbaum would have resulted in Hitler conquering your great country....
You're welcome. smilies/smiley.gif

But to provide you some recomfort dont worry you a closer to the bottom than the PIIGS countries, including France by the way !

You are being way too kind dear sir. I subscribe to a far more pessimistic perception of the R.E. collapse hear in the U.S.
I do not think it is close to a bottom. There is an inventory of foreclosed homes that the bank refuses to put on the market, commercial R.E. is hanging on a thread, the unemployment statistical shell game that is being played is fooling no one, historically low interest rates with NO INTEREST in buying, the constant extension of tax credits for first time buyers......I can go on and on and on.

Be a happy Swiss and God love you.

Well, I have to go now....but, regarding the REAL subject of this thread: Germany looks scary. Crisp passing, solid ball control. my heart is with Uruguay though. I have great memories of that beautiful city Montevideo and even better memories of Punta Del Este.
A mind is a terrible thing to waste.

Are there really still Americans clinging to this feeble idea that Iraq possessed WMDs? I mean REALLY? Are there really still Americans in this day and age who honesty believe their nation is benevolent and COMPETENT? Do the three shotgun shells and the soiled hankie with "trace amounts of a suspicious dust" found in Iraq justify the near million Iraqis killed, the 4 million exiled, the thousands of Americans killed, and the tens of thousands Maimed? Are there really still Americans who support the POUNDING OF THE NATION into dust over 8 years? Are there really Americans that brainwashed and manipulated?

Wow...Simply WOW.

We can have an honest discussion regarding the premise of my comment whether or not in 2002 Iraq possessed weapons that the U.N., all of our (maybe not yours) allies, and some of our non-allies, believed they had at time. (please see U.N. Res 1441)
It appears you go beyond an honest discussion to suggest that the U.S.A. has not been a force for good throughout history. Please give me the name of a country that has done more, given more of our wealth, and died for, than the U.S.
In the meantime, go right ahead and pump your fist in the air and scream "right on" regarding your nonsensical 20-20 hindsight, rife with simplistic tripe.

Luis, we did expand out to things a bit broader than perceptions on futebol right? You may not have noted but Adlandria's version was posted as a question rather than a statement.

I would have to agree with your sentiment as being more prevalent in vocalizations, but it is generally stimulated by some publicized negative events or by presentations which are recognized as being "controlled" by the power folks / isn't what is the reality for the common folk. It is also heard coming from people who have never visited abroad or only briefly at some point generally earlier in their life as they are most happy being where they are (so it is the best) and tend to just write things off with a "go talk to Lula" escape being they recognize just how powerless they are to change things / have an effect as well as how effeminant / castrated / ineffectual the goverment is and will forever be while retaining a wistful dream of things somehow someday getting better.

Just to shut down the potential barb tossers from the other thread, I'm all for putting a woman in the power seat, just not Dilma. Although in general I like him, maybe we do need a double dump, Dunga e Dilma.
