A Brazilian Senator Wonders If Regulating Pot Is the Answer PDF Print E-mail
2014 - March 2014
Written by Cristovam Buarque
Friday, 14 March 2014 16:19

Marijuana in BrazilTwo frightening threats are contaminating the education of our children and young people: domestic drug consumption and drug dealing around the schools. We have ignored these threats for years, however.

Serving as a wake-up call for those of us in the Congress was a petition, signed by 22,000 people, suggesting that marijuana be regulated for recreational and medicinal use in Brazil.

As the rapporteur chosen to study this suggestion, I feel I have the responsibility to analyze one of the most relevant - and at the same time most polemic - issues in the world today.

We should all adopt "Don't fool around with drugs" as our motto. Therefore, we cannot ignore the problem. We should exercise extreme caution, however, in analyzing it, taking into account the various doubts that it raises.

Before presenting the report on the petition - if we should proceed with it or not, if we should introduce a bill or not - as the rapporteur, I shall seek to respond to the following questions: will regulating marijuana for recreational use increase its consumption? Is marijuana a gateway leading to more noxious drugs?

Will regulating it diminish the violence around the schools? Does regulation clash with Brazilian culture and beliefs? Does controlled use by doctors have therapeutic ends?

To answer these questions as a basic condition for preparing my report, I shall study the matter, read the existing bibliography, listen to specialists who defend or repudiate the use and tolerated regulation of the drug, and observe what has happened in other countries already trying regulation and decriminalization.

I hope that this effort can help us in the difficult task of determining whether regulation is desirable or not, how we should handle the petition received, and what steps should be taken so that we can begin to attend to the matter of the drug throughout the country.

Let us do this before we have to acknowledge that we have already lost the battle, as a Mexican senator told me two years ago in relation to his own country.

Cristovam Buarque (CBUARQUE@senado.gov.br) is a Brazilian senator (PDT-DF).

Can somebody in Brazil explain to Mr Cristovam Buarque to study decriminalization of marijuana in the Netherlands? A nation with a great educational PUBLIC system (much better than the privatized ripped off US system that continue to fail the students) and where the pot users (include for medical) is low and where the number of cocaine/heroin users is lower. It is also low because of education (talk openly about the what happens when you do drugs and the concequences). Decriminalization of the drugs might also be a bit profitable for Brazilian state governments and it's local community governments.

If Mr Cristovam Buarque is so concerned about using marijuana for medical reasons, why doesn't he fight for that it becomes a state issue. In the bill, allow each state to decide for itself, let the people vote, which is DIRECT DEMOCRACY. Mr Cristovam Buarque suppose to be a sort of champion of more democracy in Brazilian republic. More decentralization.

Cris has almost certainly smoked his own share of weed. This open letter is bulls**t, boiler-plate CYA, written - in mealie-mouthed fashion - to justify the decision he's already made: don't decriminalize.

He's going to make that decision not based on any evidence at all, but simply because it's the politically expedient answer to give to the bancada Evangélica.

Tad, for once I was (almost) impressed by you. If you had only left out the first sentence in your post above we would have something worthy of debating.

As to the rest of your tenor, could you do something more positive and affirm what was suggested by Joao, to take the Netherlands as a case instance for study?

I am somewhat and somewhat not embarrassed by the young German lass that used to sunbath in the nude together with me at my lifeguard station while I was in college and with whom I spent many afternoons napping together with in her dorm room bed. Her richy rich parents sent her there to get her the hell away from her 30 year old junkie boyfriend. To see her years later in a photo laying out comatose on a street in Amsterdam turned my stomach. Years after that, hearing how my adopted daughter had been "surprised" by discovering everything and anything that had been available to her in brasil was also available in other cities in the Netherlands got me upset too although I replied calmly and said that that's not surprising, it exists the world over.

Bottom line, you are agnostic and I am not evangelistic. Do something other than just trying to piss people off dude.

Sorry to have "stimulated" vs "simulated" such interest hunghao, just telling another TRUE story. (Not that Costinha would know the difference between MAG and TRU.) The jung Fraulein was under age, so no, there was no hanky panky, absolutely none at all (even if she was six foot 1 inch with ..... and already "experienced" as was my "assumption" given all the private chit chat.) Good she made friends with the female half of the Italian paternal twins. Loved sneaking into the ladies shower with those two after the midnight skinny dipping parties even if the hairy girl couldn't stop staring at certain things. And yes, I turned down the invitation to "attend" to her coming of age party.)

I take exception to your number 2 (on your ident list of TGBs devastating comments.) I think our proud senator and foremost promoter of education is much more sincere than you have given him credit for. Perhaps TGBs outburst in this case has something to do the all the blunts he has been smoking with Costinha (but if they didn't bogart them, the three "amigos", TGB, Costinha and asp) would be best "cabana" buddies.

Corruption: United States vs. Brazil
written by Ricardo C. Amaral, March 23, 2014

Since many people compare the United States with Brazil....

Regarding Corruption

Corruption in the United States is 100 times superior than corruption in Brazil – as a matter of fact in Brazil the people are considered to be amateurs when compared with the corruption in the United States.

Here is just a simple example of what I am saying:

Brazil's GDP (official exchange rate) = $2.19 trillion (2013 est.)

The entire Brazilian economy in 2013 was estimated to be only US$ 2.19 trillion, but in the United States going back to 2001, to be more specific, the day before 9/11, in the Pentagon (defense budget) they had no idea what happened to US$ 2.3 trillion dollars in terms of 2014 we are talking about an estimated US$ 2.8 trillion dollars.

The crooks in Brazil are amateurs when compared with the crooks in the United States – more money disappeared in the Pentagon budget alone in the US, than the entire Brazilian economy.

According to this video:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Nt4Z1tUHgE

PS: Brazilians are always whining in the press, in public demonstrations, and when I get together with Brazilian friends, about the corruption in Brazil and how the politicians steal a few billion dollars here and there.

In contrast, in the United States in just a simple case over US$ 2.8 trillion dollars disappeared, and that is not a subject that the US mainstream media even bother to cover.

And remember the US$ 2.8 trillion dollars that the Pentagon (defense budget) they had no idea what happened to it as was reported on September 10, 2001, the day before 9/11, and before the United States had started the wars against Iraq and Afghanistan – the latest figure if we include the latest wars, then they probably have no idea what happened to about US$ 5 trillion dollars, a figure that is about twice the entire Brazilian economy.

Anyway, Americans have more important issues to deal with such as cutting US$ 10 billion dollars of the food stamp budget that helps starving people to get a minimum amount of food to feed their staving families in the US.

Nearly 6,200 People Sign White House Petition for Alaska to Secede and Join Russia

http://www.thedailysheeple.com...sia_032014

...“We the People,” the White House’s online petition website that claims it is “giving all Americans a way to engage their government on the issues that matter to them,”  is currently hosting a petition for Alaska to leave the United States and join Russia.

**********

I would not be surprised if the people who live in Alaska really want to become part of Russia.

The US has almost US$ 18 trillion dollars of debt, and there's about another US$ 200 trillion coming due in the coming years.

Today, Russia is 100 times in better financial shape than the US.

The Alaskans also must be taking in consideration that the US has to keep going almost 1,000 military bases around the world with an imploding economic and financial system, and an infrastructure that is crumbling.

Here are 1,000 military U.S. Military bases around the world. Keep in mind, since this video was produced almost 3 years ago – the U.S. has built 35 new military bases in Africa to terrorize the African people with drone attacks.

I wouldn't call it "whining", but...but...but... expressing their legitimate "beef" against corruption, mismanagement, "desvio de dinheiro público", etc; I am not sure if you get together with your Brasilian friends here or in the U.S. and listen to their "whining". My relatives and friends here are pissed off with this issue and do mind and question our political "masters" "stealing a few billions here & there".

One thing we have in our favor is the "obligatory voting", though some slimy politicos want to get rid off it. It does force our "dickless" middle class to go the polling booths, before they rush to the beaches.smilies/angry.gif

Lets see how it is going to be in October.I don't think the outcome of the "CUP" is going to influence the voters.Maybe I am wrong, but...but...but.. only the time will say.

Also, Crimea isn't a country, it's a ukranian city. Would be like Venezuela invading Recife because they wanted to be part of Venezuela. Do you think brazil and it's allies might have something to say about that?

Also, great to know you're here in the US. Although I vehemently disagree with this, you may get a visit for being non-compliant with the patriot act!!

I was being sarcastic on my posting.

Today everybody knows that there's no other country in the world that is more corrupt than the United States.

The difference is that in many places we are talking "nickels and dimes" such as in Argentina, Brazil, and other countries around the world.

In the United States we are talking about trillions of US dollars - and it isn't only the government, companies such "Goldman Sachs the Pillage People" and their network of thieves - they screw and steal money from people around the world, and nothing happen to them.

And what is unbelievable is that the fools from around the world still think that investing in the US is investing in a safe haven.

Today, protecting your money by investing in the US is the same as investing with Bernie Madoff, and thinking that your money is safe.

Bo, I don't know why I even bother to reply to your very ignorant posting.

First, the Crimean Peninsula is not a city of the Ukraine.

Second, Recife never has been part of Venezuela.

By the way, do you know where Recife is located inside Brazil?

I give you a hint, Recife isn't close to Colombia, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina or even Chile.

Anyway, the Ukraine was created by the Soviet Union, on a part of its territory that had been part of the Russian Empire for about 350 years.

Crimean Peninsula
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crimean_Peninsula

The modern history of Crimea begins with the annexation by the Russian Empire in 1783.

Crimean Peninsula = Area: 10,077 sq miles (26,100 km²)

State of Alagoas, in Brazil = Area: 10,721 sq miles (27,768 km²)

The 20th century

The 1st World War was disastrous for the last Tsar Nikolai II. Crimea and part of Ukraine were taken by German forces, and heavy losses on the battlefield, combined with food and ammunition shortages, demoralized the Russian army to the point of mutiny. The October 1917 Revolution was as much a response to the war as to general social conditions. Crimea was the scene of fierce fighting between Bolshevik forces and anti-revolutionary White Russian soldiers.

In 1921 Crimea was established as an autonomous Republic for the Crimean Tatars within the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist republic. However, this did not prevent theTatars from suffering severely during Stalin's purges of the nineteen thirties. Another group to suffer were the Greeks, many of whom lost their farms during collectivisation. Greek schools were closed and Greek literature destroyed, as they were labelled as counter-revolutionary because of their tradition of free enterprise, their links with capitalist Greece, and their independent culture.

The 2nd World War brought the return of German forces, who completely occupied the republic after the fall of Sevastopol in 1942, and held it until the spring of 1944. In 1945 British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, US President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Russian Secretary-General Joseph Stalin chose the Livadia Palace near Yalta as the venue for what became known as the Yalta Conference. The "big three" effectively set the stage for the cold war years which followed, but also began the discussions which led to the formation of the United Nations.

After the end of the war Crimea lost its status as an autonomous republic because of collaboration by significant numbers of Crimean Tatars with the occupying German forces, as a result of the previous mistreatment of Tatars by the Soviet regime. In retribution, in spite of the fact that some 50,000 Tatars had fought on all fronts in the Soviet armed forces, Stalin officially abolished the Crimean Tatars as a nation, and organised the mass deportation of the entire Tatar population - some 220,000 people - to Central Asia, along with 70,000 Crimean Greeks. It was not until 1956, when USSR Premier Nikita Khruschev denounced the Tatar deportation in his speech attacking Stalin's legacy, that there was any official recognition of the terrible wrong done to the Tatar people and others. It took until the fall of the Soviet Union in the 1990s, for Tatar families and members of other deported groups to be allowed to return to Crimea in significant numbers.

During the Soviet era Crimea prospered as a tourist destination, and new sanatoria were built for the workers of the growing industrial state. Holiday makers from all over the Soviet Union relaxed on its beaches, and it became a favorite for tourists from East Germany. The infrastructure improved and manufacturing developed around the ports at Kerch and Sevastopol, and also in the capital, Simferopol. The Russian and Ukrainian populations more than doubled during this period: by 1989, there were 1.6 million Russians and 626,000 Ukrainians living in Crimea.

A Ukrainian by birth, Nikita Khruschev had returned Crimea to the Ukrainian SSR in 1954. Thirty-seven years later, in 1991, after the dissolution of the USSR, Ukraine declared its independence . Because of the majority of Russian-speakers in Crimea, there was a move to return the region to Russia, but this was not successful and Crimea is today an Autonomous Republic within Ukraine.

**********

Ukraine
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukraine

In 1654 a Cossack Republic pledged its allegiance to Tsardom of Russia.

In 1917 the Soviet Union changed the name of that area to Ukraine. But until the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Ukraine belonged to Russia for over 350 years.

Just following your orders Capitao Joao. Already on our way southward although it may take awhile. As you can imagine it has been rather long and arduous trek already. Finding a small glacier or piece of pack ice suitable for paddling to make the polar traverse was not easy but we have made record time in the progress thus far. The sled dogs are already due for a breather. Luckily some Denisovans have offered to put us up in their cave for as long needed. When I get the next batch of pups trained and we get back on the trail again next mushing season, each will be outfitted with a mini-keg "rescue" ration equivalent to 400 mL of Pinga courtesy of the Brasilian contribution to the mission.

Did you take a piece of string and try to figure out what the shortest "great circle" route was for me to get from here to the search area on the high seas? The circumpolar path was the best fit for using the sled dogs in an attempt to get to the target area of interest. Maybe after slogging through the marshlands to get to port so the Woodshole ship can pick us up for our years of service, they'll drop us off on the southernmost continent so we can continue the trek and pass over the other pole. Also must reconsider a query I had a while back. Home much did 50,000 yuan paper money weigh compared to it's equivalent at the prevailing spot prices for gold. Now we must consider spot silver prices and the devalued Chinese currency. Think my suitcases will be overweight. They only allow me two checked bags for free and they must be less than 70 pounds each.

Há, joao , I didnt know they replaced a red flag...good for them..

Too bad, I could have suported a gigantic non violent protest for legalisation , like simp mentioned, but , this is becoming something else

sure , if they are busting coke and crack deals , fine, that stuff is dangerous , but, the students arnt making that distinction , and that should be the focus instead of just some students dont want police around...I see other students do want police around...this rejection of authority is the anarchist theme , that is why that is becoming the focus instead of just focusing on legalisation of marijuana, which I think would solve a huge range of problems. It would make more space in the prisons, they just released a bunch for over crowding , it would bring in huge badly needed tax revenue , it would take immence profits out of traficars hands..etc

your point about the professor is relevant , especialy if a red flag gets risen ...these kids get their ideas of red flags from somewhere...not wanting a person busted for pot is one thing , what does a red flag have to do with it? some stupid political agenda is trumping a good cause..

Thanks for the tip about the students replacing the red flag...and sang the national anthem, good for them

When I went down to the street to treat my lung cancer this morning I had a great chat with a cabbie waiting 50 yards from the center of the foto I referenced. His phone-in fare was apparently a bit delayed but he knew he'd be showing up soon as he had to go catch a flight at the airport. He told me about how great business was during these "events", drunks having to use him to get their butts home and handing him a twenty for a thirteen dollar fare and telling him to keep the change which his cab syndicate allowed their drivers to keep. He told me about another recent client that just as they were arriving at the airport, the kid started feeling around and patting his breast pockets and then saying "oh s**t" after which the kid went completely silent. The cabbie eventually prompted the kid wondering what had happened, like maybe he had forgotten his tickets or something. The kid responded no, it wasn't that, it was just that he didn't know what to do about the bag of weed he had in his shirt pocket. Simple enough, no big problem the cabbie told him, look over there, there's a trash can right there, you can just toss it so stop sweating.

Sincerely hope and wish it is not lung cancer, but severe cold. You better be very careful with the quacks who do the wrong diagnosis.

The reason for the students' riot is completely different though. It is a Federal University and the Federal Police had the authorization (by the Head lady of the university) to investigate about drug trafficking. When 3 agents were surrounded by a mob of 200 students and professors, they had to call in reinforcement. They called in the PM (which is under the authority of the state government) who did negotiate for a peaceful solution. Some Professoras & students were spoiling for a fight and they got what they wanted. smilies/angry.gif

One of the biggest problems with our educational "system" is that the Rectors of the Federal Universities are elected by the professors, employees and students. The first two hardly go to vote or vote on the basis of "ideology". Most of the students from the "hard sciences" also avoid going to the polling booths & the rest vote based on ideology, which in general is "leftist" and their God is in Havana.smilies/sad.gif

btw, today is the 50th anniversary of the "revolution". Funny, the "dictatorship" lasted 21 years and we are under "democracy" for 29 years out of which 12 years of labor party rule. Brasil and the world has undergone several changes during this period. But....but....but... Cuba is still under the rule of the Castros, who are still worshiped by our left wing whiners. To be fair to the lefties, our right wing "Caudilhos" are no different either. They have one foot in the ole continent and another here and if the things get too hot, they can always go to ch.c's paradise or to good ole Paris to pursue their degree in Sociology.smilies/cheesy.gif

Yes Joao, you've made clear that you've been ridden and ridden hard (or is that mulheradad thing you've spoken of just a farce?) You do get "unbridled" from time to time but it's rather rare and often like pulling teeth to get you to do so. Joao, the Germany/China currency deal it's just another nail on the coffin of the US dollar as the main reserve global currency.

As you mentioned if the Germans had the capability of attacking Brazil then look at the bad side: they would improve the educational system in Brazil, and to make things worse Brazilian would have to drive Mercedes Bens, and BMW's.

As I have said many times, I respect our Chinese "brethren" who are turning into "New Brasilians" day by day. I am not denying that they are extremely hard working people and in fact I like them & their food. But my question is: Why use the Krauts as intermediaries , when we have our own German-Brasilians (or Eyetalian-Brasilians) whose forefathers emigrated to Brasil more than 150 years ago. For that matter, we have a great Nippo Brasilian population who are excelling in all fields. Why ignore them?

You yourself have said several times that we have to grab the "brainpower" regardless of their origin, skin color or race. My recommendation is to stay cool and see what the Krauts and the PRC are up to and take action according to our "interests".smilies/cool.gif

Brazil and High Frequency Trading

There's an important adjustment that Finance Minister Guido Mantega still need to implement in Brazil to raise income for the Brazilian government, and also to bring a better foundation to the stock market in Brazil: Finance Minister Guido Mantega need to create and adopt a financial transactions tax (FTT) to kill high frequency trading (HFT) in Brazil, and the distortion, the market instability, and the pillage of assets that (HFT) brings to the stock market.

Thanks for the link to your collage Sr Ricardo, I've added it to my favorites such that I might peruse it in more depth at a later date. Interesting that you bash The Economist whom you've tauted in the past. Also I was unaware that Brazil had the secure infrastructure to support HFT in their stock exchanges. Where did they import that from? Is it anything like the Oi servers which are the most corrupt and compromised and often "black listed" due to indo-china hacking? They've already raised the tax on pre-paid credit cards used in the exterior. Hasn't that done enough to curb the tide of money exports and slaves wanting to go spend some quality time out seeing the world and buy a few odds and ends to bring home at half price? And with the hydropower reservoir levels down by 2/3 and LNG imports being so heavily subsidized and the need projected to increase substantially, do you really see a way for Brazil to grow it's way out of the looming economic disaster except by making itself a target for hot money?

Hi Ricardo,

This is not the first time you have suggested this new "tax" and I have mentioned to you before that it already exists. It is called IOF and I think young Simpleton is specifically referring to it. The poor fellow knows more about the Brasilian Tax laws than we give him credit for, even though he lacks adequate writing skill in Portuguese. Of course, I am not going to hold this against him for he is very good in International Finances and uses Math(s) symbols. I said "Math(s)", because I certainly wouldn't like to hear from our buddy Costa questioning my poor writing skill in Inglés.smilies/cool.gif

Ricardo, we are already paying about 53% taxes (IPI,ICM,ICMS,IOF, etcsmilies/wink.gif. Remember IPMF, which was finally removed & Prez. Dilma didn't reinstate it during her 4 year mandate in spite of the whining governors? So if Guido is forced to create another tax on the suggestion of the Limeys, Yanks, Krauts, Chinese, Malaysians, Indians, etc; in an election year, Dilma doesn't get re-elected. That is plain & simple and she as well Guido know it.

Do you know when the merde is going to hit the fan? January 1, 2015.smilies/sad.gif Until then, the 'new middle class" Brasilians can make hay while the sun still shines, by traveling to Miami,NYC, etc; & bring "Muamba" to resell them to their less fortunate brethren. smilies/sad.gif

You think I am pessimistic about the Brasilian economy? Nope. I have passed through several "cycles" and am sure Brasil & the Brasilians will survive. We did survive during the hyper inflation period of Mr.Sarney & Mr.Collor & we will grin and bear regardless of who assumes power in 2015.

Thanks for listening to my rant.

Cheers & take care.

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts says, "The Federal Reserve's policies are irresponsible and reckless." They put four or five banks ahead of the entire American population. They are going to save them if they have to drive the rest of the American population into the ground."

As far as Russia and other countries doing more and more business outside of the dollar, Dr. Roberts says this too can spark very big inflation in a short amount of time. Dr. Roberts says, "Prices can go up hundreds of times . . . in a short amount of time. It depends on the amount of fear or the extent people leave the dollar and give up on it. This is why the Federal Reserve is so irresponsible." So, are the Fed and Obama Administration trying to crash the dollar on purpose? Dr. Roberts says, "No, they are just stupid and arrogant. . . . If you add up the IQ of the White House and you add up the IQ of the Fed and multiply it by a thousand trillion, it might equal 50. These are stupid policies designed to completely destroy the U.S. dollar. . . . I don't think the United States can win the war against gold."

The Brazilian government should take some action ASAP: No more payment for Brazilian assets in US Dollar - only in gold, Real, Yuan, Rubles, and euros for now.

There are an estimated US$ 16 trillion dollars or more outside of the United States, and many people including governments are going to try to buy some kind of assets, to get something for their fast declining US dollar – these people will have to find fools to hold the bag for the crashing value of the US dollar.

I understand that we have plenty of fools in Brazil who will sell their land and Brazilian assets for this quickly devaluing US dollar. They will be able to use their US dollars as a wall paper, or as confetti during Carnaval time in Brazil.

Now is the time to move ahead of the final panic, and many countries have been taking action to distance themselves from the US dollar – and these are small actions by this country and that country, but when you take it as a whole then you start having a significant impact on the US dollar. The dam wall is full of cracks, but you don't know which crack it will be the one to finally cause the entire dam wall to collapse.

The trillions of US dollars that are flying around the world as any commodity that has a massive over supply of it – the smart money is going to get out of the US dollar before the herd realizes what is going on – and when the herd gets spooked, then we will have a stampede and the final US dollar meltdown.

OK, Ricardo. If the "smart money" is getting out of the US $, where are they investing?

If the dollar collapses, the American and peasants can still grow their own food on their patch of land. Of course their Brasilian counterparts have no link to the dollar as their transaction is all in the local currency and continue tilling their land and feeding themselves and their neighbors.

So I think the biggest losers are the American "wage earners". Will Brasilian "commoner" be affected? No, I don't think so, as long as he earns some "wage". If not, he can always count on the Bolsa Familia. You have to understand that the Brasilians have undergone so many economic "melt downs" that they have developed an indifferent attitude towards such collapses.smilies/cry.gif

IMHO, we Brasilians can not do much to save the mighty dollar. It is up to people like you, Simpleton and others who live in the U.S. to do "something" to prevent the doomsday.smilies/sad.gif

I watched the clip, Ricardo and it is quite scary. The Brasilian government should take some drastic measures to protect our currency. Unfortunately this is the election year and many of us think the "political will" is lacking for obvious reasons. Some are even predicting that after the "Copa", the inflation rate will skyrocket. IMHO, Prez.Dilma should start extinguishing "non-essential" ministries (and get rid of the ministers) to set an example to the states and municipalities to economize the payroll at Federal,State & Municipal levels. But for said and done, the lady has not been so far accused of Nepotism, Cronyism or Corruption. She should use her clean "track record" to put back the Brasilian economy back on the track.

We don’t have any solid facts (other than the news media) therefore, any attempt would be a speculation at best.

My feeling (being an aircraft pilot myself) is that the aircraft is under thousands of feet of water at the bottom of the Indian ocean, intentionally placed there.

The news media forgot to mention that besides the “black box” pinging capability, there is another device in every airplane called ELT (Emergency Locating Transmitter) which will automatically ping. However, the water will damper the signals significantly, sorting of looking for a needle in the hay stack.

Costa, I have been following up the news on this "Missing Airplane", not just from the Brasilian media, but also other sources (including Malaysian & Aussie newspapers).

Facts: a) First they turned off the communications b) Then the radars were turned off c) Malaysian Military detected an unidentified aircraft that was "supposedly" MH370 took a 90 degree turn first towards the west and subsequently another 90º counterclockwise and headed towards the Southern Indian Ocean.

My questions: a) Could they turn off the ELT also while on flight? b) Is it possible to remove the "Black boxes" from inside the aircraft and while the plane is flying?

My feeling (being an aircraft pilot myself) is that the aircraft is under thousands of feet of water at the bottom of the Indian ocean, intentionally placed there.

You have said before (fleetingly, though) that you are a Pilot licensed to fly twin engined planes, besides being a physicist. I don't doubt it. But my question is: How could one place an aircraft "intentionally" at the bottom of the Ocean, without leaving any debris? B777 is not a submarine with thick hull and the maximum depth it could sink without the fuselage being crushed is around 200 meters. In such case, the float-able objects would have been found a long time ago.

There are many conspiracy theories, like it landed in Diego Garcia,Banda Ache, Kandahar, Gobi desert, etc; My feeling is it did not crash, but was hijacked for later use. You seem very distraught over this accident ! Did you have any relatives inside that airplane ?

Again, my best guest is that the aircraft was intentionally crashed by the flight crew, by purposely turning off the transponder, the instrument that allows the ATC (air traffic control) to monitor the flight (altitude, direction & airspeed). Without transponders, the ATC can not maintain incoming or outgoing flights separated with a margin of safety.

Did the airplane break up during the possible forced water landing, perhaps. There are simply way too many random factors to predict whether or not this aircraft broke off or remained intact. Either outcome is completely possible (wave action, impact airspeed, stall before touch down etc. ). The only way to tell is through the “black box” recovery.

Most black-boxes are located in the empennage section of the aircraft (tail section). In most cases, there are access panels that allow aircraft inspectors access to the device from outside the airplane, not from the inside.

No Costa, not in MH370. However, I did lose two close friends in two different plane crashes years ago. Bad weather to be blamed. The pilots could have avoided the "bad weather" if they had enough fuel to deviate from the "bad weather". At that time, too much pressure by the management on the Pilots to economize on the fuel, arriving at the destination on time, etc; I think even now the pressure continues. A few months ago, while flying TAM, the pilot said the weather was pretty good at the destination and we would be on time, but in case it turned out to be bad (I knew it was unlikely), he had enough fuel to return to GRU.

In the case of all the crashes where I lost my friends and that of AF447, there were closures to the families and friends. In this case (of MH370), the closure does not seem to be anywhere in the near future. If you recall, our Navy found the debris of AF447 in a matter of days (though we were criticized for our "sloppiness" by the European media) and we knew there were no survivors. Interesting to note that there were 238 souls on board AF447 and 239 on MH370. Lucky B777 of MH370 wasn't flying full and if it was, there would have been at least 350 souls "lost".

Simp/Costa:

The duration of the flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing is about 6.5 hours. According to "reliable sources" 370 carried extra fuel (which is normal, in case the planes have to diverted to an alternate airport) for another 2 hours and that says it had 8.5 hours range.

Just draw a circle with Kuala Lumpur as center point and the radius according to the range (alcance) of the aircraft, taking into consideration the take off and landing time, speed of the aircraft, etc; It could be anywhere, landed or crashed.

So my question: Why keep on insisting that it is at the bottom of the Indian Ocean?

P.S.to Costa: Glad you took me seriously and thanks for contributing with your expertise in the aviation.

P.S. to Simp: Ah think you Yanks are out to map the Pre-salt oil fields in the Indian Ocean off the western coast of Aussie Land (in cahoots with PRC). Shame on ya.smilies/smiley.gifsmilies/wink.gifsmilies/cheesy.gif
Missing Flight -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------->
written by Costinha, April 15, 2014

Typically jet airlines travel at flight-level 300/360 (30,000 to 36,000 feet) at 600 mph, roughly. Do the math: 600 mph x 8.5 hrs = 5100 miles, which places the aircraft somewhere in the middle of the south Indian ocean, exactly where they are searching.

Making assumptions such as the aircraft flying in direct straight lines and not wasting any flight time (i.e. point A to point B at constant speed and constant altitude), would constitute a BIG leap of faith, which I think would be unlikely. Perhaps, they purposely crashed with their gas tanks full!

In reality, the aircraft turned-off its transponder (showing its location, direction, airspeed & altitude) to avoid radar contact. Likewise, the pilot probably took evasive action to confuse ATC even further, probably flying low to escape line of sight (like watching a ship sail away and drop below the horizon).

One thing is for sure, they either flew straight down to the Indian ocean, or straight east over the Pacific ocean (nobody has yet mentioned this possibility) to avoid radar all together.

Flying north is just impossible, given the Chinese air space and their capability to intercept any unauthorized aircraft in their area.

Now then, take you pick!

written by Simpleton, April 16, 2014
The captain stepped out to do a courtesy appearance in the cabin / inspection walk. The copilot locked himself inside with the night's in-flight entertainment he had lined up. The spikes on the high heel shoes flipped the switch on the TCAS/ACAS transponder control panel. The hiked up squirt and readjustments pushed the yolk forward sufficiently to cause the force sensor on the colunm to kick off the auto pilot. Several maneuvers were made in a circulating motion in conjunction with some push back causing some turns to be made and the column to be moved forward resulting in a decrease in altitude . . . the captain became occupied dealing with a fire of his own in the first class head, the gally exploded / explosive decompression occurred due to unexpected hull breach and the ship became a ghost ship after all ran out of breath . . . the ship eventually plunked down when it too ran out of gas. Definitely all intentional criminal acts none of which can be ruled out.

Glaring Q.E. Failure Spotted

By: Jim Willie CB

http://news.goldseek.com/Golde...678460.php

MONEY VELOCITY FALLING RAPIDLY

Money Velocity continues to fall rapidly in both the US Economy and that of Canada, reaching 50-year lows in the Untied States. The indication is failure in monetary policy, as hyper inflation has killed capital on an extensive basis. The capital destruction is in its fourth year, probably having reached critical mass. Compared and contrasted with fast rising money supply, the systemic failure is obvious to conclude. The exception is to morons, Wall Street junkies, Big Bank criminal elite, and US Govt hacks. The fast decline in Money Velocity means that it is not moving in the body economic. The reason is simple. The blood system is contaminated with the US Dollar, a toxic currency with no backing in a hard asset. The new money is toxic currency under phenomenal debasement by its own steward, the US Fed itself. They redouble their harmful policy instead of abandoning it.

The Money Velocity picture is not pretty. The declining rate has broken lows set 50 years ago. Technically, the velocity of money is the frequency at which one unit of currency is used to purchase domestically produced goods and services within a given time period, like an inventory cycle time. In other words, it is the number of times one dollar is spent to buy goods and services per unit of time. If the velocity of money is increasing, then more transactions are occurring between individuals in an economy. The result would be that growth (as measured in GDP) should be rising. With falling velocity of money, then fewer transactions are occurring and a recession is indicated. Such is the present case in astonishing rapid deterioration. Consumers and business are holding firm their money rather than investing it, as they see poor prospects. New capital formation is not occurring inside the US Economy, or pitifully little. Debts are being dissolved, usually in default. It should be noted that the velocity of money has also been falling in the EU and Japan. The entire global economy is in recession, the pathogenesis shared.

Regarding NATO vs. China/Russia
written by Ricardo C. Amaral, April 17, 2014

I posted this information on various place on Facebook and web yesterday in response to other people's postings regarding the Ukraine crisis:

The United States pays for 70% of NATO's budget. Military Spending in 2014:

NATO = US$ 1 trillion dollars

China/Russia = US$ 256 billion dollars

China = US$ 166 billion dollars and Russia = US$ 90 billion

*****************

NATO's military budget is 4 times the size of the combined military budget of China/Russia

China/Russia = US$ 256 billion dollars

Supported by massive supply of natural resources and industrialization, and economic development, a great future in the new world of the 21st century.

VS.

NATO = US$ 1 trillion dollars

Supported by imploding economies, by heavy borrowing, and a sense of dying a slow death, and running out of time. (Trying very hard to keep the dying world of yesterday relevant to the new world of the 21st century.)

How long NATO will be able to support this:

Keep in mind, since this video was produced almost 3 years ago – the US has built 35 new military bases in Africa to terrorize the African people with drone attacks.

"The United States has an estimated 1,000 military bases abroad with over 200,000 military forces." Good damn statistics. That would be 200 military personnel per base on average. Menacing, very very menacing. (Or did you mean to say 1000 x 200,000 = 20 million military personnel not based on US soil, 6.37+ percent of it's entire population?) Damn those war mongers!

"their foreign policy is a menace." Foreign policy? What Foreign policy? We don't need no stinking Foreign policy! (Badges? What badges? We don't need no stinking badges.) The Obama Administration can be equated to Darryl, Darryl and Darryl. How much of an f'g menace can that be? Dave? Is that you Dave? Oh, you're not Dave are you?

I recommend the good senator go watch Cheech and Chong's "Up in Smoke" in some bohemian movie theater in the middle of dead nowhere Iowa before he makes any critical decisions about anything much less legalization. Maybe he'll get lucky and find a baggie of some extremely fine gold creeper someone lost / left in the seat next too him.

Theories point 1 - no more TCAS/ACAS tracking by ground based secondary radar under Malaysian jurisdiction:
a. The transponder including ACARS broadcasts (if any) was no longer observable / responding to ground based queries at a point close to the furthest edges of it's VHF based communications back to Malaysia. (For this possibility and all that follows, it is assumed the crew did not switch ACARS (assuming Malaysian Airlines even contracts for such services) over from VHF mode to SatCom mode.)
b. The TCAS/ACAS was intentionally turned off via the control panel switch located on the pedestal.
c. The circuit breaker for it was intentionally pulled.
d. Some significant event occurred that took out the breaker and or radio / electronics rack with the associated transmitters / black boxes comprising the transponder / TCAS / ACARS electronics.
e. The spikes on someone's high heel shoes "unintentionally" flipped a switch.

Whoa Nelle!!! No joao, I am certainly NOT reading any Chinese gossip columns (just like you and I both can't read Chinese and have to rely on the english description of the menu items. Although we know they are probably not an accurate description of the dish to be served, ..., they should be in any case delicious!) And despite you now saying item "e" is not a possibility (disconsonant with the mainstream leftist US media where I heard about it from vs having any "intimate" knowledge of the inner workings of avionics, etc., etc., etc.,), the fact remains it IS a possibility and that's why the families of the Chinese passengers whose fate is yet to be discovered are in an uproar. Those lying, fact hiding, completely incompetent Malaysian ..., ..., ..., ...

I hope Costinha will come forward and proffer any additional items that might explain the first point in fact (beyond the five items I've mentioned in the candidate list above.) Heshe should also tell us what the second point in fact is and what it's potential explanations may be. You just have to start from the beginning and work your way down the path if you want to do any "serious" trouble shooting. If you go back just a little in time: in the Battle of Waterloo the French army under the command of Napoleon Bonaparte was defeated by the armies of the Seventh Coalition, comprising an Anglo-allied army under the command of the Duke of Wellington combined with a Prussian army under the command of Gebhard von Blucher.

Simpleton, I understand how you are thinking, but this is what is happening in many places around the world including in Asia, Africa and South America.

If you notice, this type of warfare doesn't need a lot people in most bases, and a lot of the people who are piloting these drones are located somewhere inside of the United States, and they are not counted as being part of the army located abroad.

It's a type of warfare a little bit different than the wars fought in Waterloo, WW I, and WW II.

The little girl in response to the little boy bragging about how "Look Here! It's not a matter of whether I can over run you in the short battle or out last you in a protracted stand off, or out slug you in a blow for blow exchange of brut force, it's how far into your knickers can I get and how good you're going to feel about me "apparently" letting you do that the other way around (in feint) before I come back and knock your ass out. One of the most interesting links you posted and thanks.

But in that from that link, I am reproducing sentences that intrigued me:

Since Barack Obama recently took it upon himself to label himself ‘dictator’ with free will to kill Americans with drones, isn’t it time that Americans learn how to fight back and kill drones? Where there is a will, there is a way! This excellent article informs Americans who are completely disgusted with the ‘Police State’ our once free nation has become on how to kill UAV’s.

Additions to Theory point 1 item list: f) aliens, g) ship mounted directed energy weapons the US is doing field trials on in the South China Sea, h) (just to humor Joao) drone attack.

Theory point 2: The Malaysian military admits tracking an un-identified flying object with their primary radar that came from the general vicinity / direction of where MH370 was last known by the civies to be located. The track which passed over Malaysian airspace appeared to be generally consistent with normal commercial and private aircraft traffic and was not on a direct westerly course but more in line with a slightly west-south-west course as if it may have been intending to make intercept with jet route M765 for a potential landing at Kota Bharu.
a) It was MH370
b) It was another aircraft
c) It was a real alien craft
d) It was Joao's drone
e) They had a brasilian radar operator from the GOL era "on loan" who just thought he saw something this time but had problems with ascertaining the targets actual altitude.

Objection, objection, objection again,Meritíssimo. The Radar operator in question was a fully trained professional of FAB (First Sergent) with years of experience & stationed at SJC. He could speak English (technical English related to ATC). The problem was the Pilot was an Eyetalian immigrant (to the States) and the copilot had an Argentine "heritage" and both thought the official language of Brasil was Spanish and communicated to the poor fella in their Portunhol. He did direct them to the right altitude, but..but...but.. the two "machos" wouldn't listen and ended up killing all the innocent passengers & crew aboard the Gol. smilies/angry.gifsmilies/sad.gif

Nothing happened to those two, but....but...but... the poor sergeant was held responsible (he was the first one to apologize and express sorrow for the loss of human lives under his watch-like the Captain of the Korean Ferry). I don't know what happened to him (probably retired off). I don't know either what happened to that wimp, who claimed to be the "reporter" of NYtimes and made a big scandal during his brief,but...but...but.. comfortable "confinement".

Hope those two pilots and the "reporter" never return to Brasil and crash into another plane by disobeying the instructions from the ATC. smilies/angry.gif

First Sergent, Second Sergeant who's to quible?
written by Simpleton, April 18, 2014
The idiots on the Embraer were purportedly doing what good sergeants do - following the last order they heard (mantenhem). (On MH370 they did not. They failed for whatever reason to check in with Vietnam control.) The Embraer was out of secondary radar surveillance range and the military primary radar operator failed to note anything was wrong / "see" the altitude correctly and advise. There were rumors that some in-flight entertainment in the form of a laptop may have been placed over the pedestal where the transponder control panel was located (to watch what? The slide show of the pics or a webcam video made the night before in SP???) Early reports of MH370 "suggested" it may have gone as high as 45K feet (above the B777 ratings) which may very well have occurred assuming the copilot was pulling back on his stick (or whoever was holding on to it) instead of pushing forward (or possibly both.) I hate to think about what happened / will happen to the Malaysian sergeant on duty. In Thailand I believe they still use canning (which probably was deserved by the lot of them.)

Unsure of the source but it appears the yellow journalism (pun intended???) regarding the captain of the Korean ferry has him pegged as being one of the very first to abandon ship. Sound familiar? Haven't heard if he too was ordered to go back aboard. AVOID PARTY BARGES!

P.S. you can most certainly go back through the site's archives and dig up whatever poop you want.

Hi Joao,

No. I never read any of the books by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

I knew who Gabriel Garcia Marquez was, but even though I read a lot of books all the time, there's too much material for anyone to read today.

Mainly in my case when I am doing research about anything that I am writing about it.

Have you read any of his books?

I learned about Gabriel Garcia Marquez from Professor Gregory Rabassa, but I never asked Professor Rabassa to give me his opinion about Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

When Professor Rabassa is translating a work of another author he has to get inside the author's mind to be able to translate without the original work lose its meaning.

Professor Gregory Rabassa is the best translator that any author can get to translate a work from Spanish and Portuguese to the English language.

Professor Gregory Rabassa, American translator who was largely responsible for bringing the fiction of contemporary Latin America to the English-speaking world. Of his more than 30 translations from Spanish and Portuguese, perhaps the best known is Gabriel Garcia Marquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude (1970). Mr. Marquez was a 1982 Nobel Laureate in Literature. He also has translated works of Machado de Assis and Jorge Amado.

I introduced Professor Gregory Rabassa to former president Jose Sarney, and Professor Rabassa translated from Portuguese to English at least two books of former president Jose Sarney. I went to the book launch event of president Sarney in New York City a few years ago.

I believe Professor Gregory Rabassa after he translated the 2 books for president Sarney, he also translated a book of former president Fernando Henrique Cardoso from Portuguese to English. I assume that Fernando Henrique Cardoso got the name of Professor Rabassa from president Sarney.

US dollar dying as tensions over Ukraine heat up – April 19, 2014
http://www.presstv.ir/detail/2...s=og.likes

The US dollar is losing dominance as major trading countries look for alternatives.

The US dollar is losing its dominance on global trade amid spiraling tensions between Washington and Moscow over Ukraine, says an analyst.

In his Friday column for Press TV website, F. William Engdahl said Russia and leading trading countries are developing “alternatives to using the US dollar for their bilateral trade.”

The analyst said the US government has been printing “money without limit, in order to rescue the bankrupt Wall Street banks with what the Federal Reserve calls Quantitative Easing.”

“Washington’s decision to go for the military coup in Ukraine [has]…isolated the power of US hegemony and opened the door for a genuine multipolar world where peaceful cooperation replaced military threats and sole superpower domination,” Engdahl stated.

He said Washington’s “foolish” imposition of sanctions on Russia over Crimea’s secession from Ukraine “has forced Moscow to react by selling Gazprom bonds not in the dollar market but rather in the fast-emerging Chinese Yuan.”

“The US has just shot itself in the foot,” he wrote.

Citing a new report by the International Monetary Fund, Engdahl said there has been a “dramatic shift” from the “US dollar as reserve currency.”

“The foolish [US President Barack] Obama sanctions threats against Moscow are simply accelerating the refocus of giant Russian companies like Gazprom and Norilsk Nickel to the huge Asian market,” wrote the analyst.

He said following the “NATO-led Ukraine coup and ensuing crisis,” other countries “are looking to lessen their dollar exposure.”

|The analyst said “stupid people” in the United States and NATO have failed to “think through or foresee the global consequences of their actions.”

No. I never read any of the books by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

I have read a couple of them a long time ago. They are quite heavy to read and only people with love for literature could appreciate, which is not my case. However, to certain extent they demonstrate the difference between Spanish America & Portuguese America.

I am aware Mr.Sarney is a life member of ABL and has written several books that have been translated into other languages, including Chinese. I have not read any of them.

btw, you should seriously consider writing another interesting article for this magazine. Something related to the development of Brasil.

My family, my friends and I won't be around since our area (New York Metropolitan area) is probably the first target that the Russians are going to nuke it into nothing.

In the coming thermonuclear war Brazil will be an ally of the BRIC's - Russia is twice as big than the United States, I have no idea how many people will be able to survive in Russia after the US and Russia exchange thousands of thermonuclear warheads.

It will be interesting to see how many people around the world will survive such a war, and the consequence of global warming to our planet as a result of a thermonuclear war.

I have been living in the US long enough, and I don't underestimate their capacity to do something really stupid, they have a very solid track record on that regard to back up this position, and I am never surprised when they reach a new low. I am sure that the politicians in the United States are very capable of starting a thermonuclear war against Russia/China.

Yes, in my opinion they are that stupid!!!!!

Princeton Study: U.S. No Longer An Actual Democracy – By Brendan James

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/l...-democracy

A new study from Princeton spells bad news for American democracy—namely, that it no longer exists.
Asking "[w]ho really rules?" researchers Martin Gilens and Benjamin I. Page argue that over the past few decades America's political system has slowly transformed from a democracy into an oligarchy, where wealthy elites wield most power.

Using data drawn from over 1,800 different policy initiatives from 1981 to 2002, the two conclude that rich, well-connected individuals on the political scene now steer the direction of the country, regardless of or even against the will of the majority of voters.

"The central point that emerges from our research is that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on U.S. government policy," they write, "while mass-based interest groups and average citizens have little or no independent influence."

As one illustration, Gilens and Page compare the political preferences of Americans at the 50th income percentile to preferences of Americans at the 90th percentile as well as major lobbying or business groups. They find that the government—whether Republican or Democratic—more often follows the preferences of the latter group rather than the first.

The researches note that this is not a new development caused by, say, recent Supreme Court decisions allowing more money in politics, such as Citizens United or this month's ruling on McCutcheon v. FEC. As the data stretching back to the 1980s suggests, this has been a long term trend, and is therefore harder for most people to perceive, let alone reverse.

"Ordinary citizens," they write, "might often be observed to 'win' (that is, to get their preferred policy outcomes) even if they had no independent effect whatsoever on policy making, if elites (with whom they often agree) actually prevail."

Jeremy Rifkin: "The Zero Marginal Cost Society" | Authors at Google – April 15, 2014

Joao, we are in the middle of a major revolution.

Jeremy Rifkin: "The Zero Marginal Cost Society" | Authors at Google – April 15, 2014
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-iDUcETjvo

In The Zero Marginal Cost Society, New York Times bestselling author Jeremy Rifkin describes how the emerging Internet of Things is speeding us to an era of nearly free goods and services, precipitating the meteoric rise of a global Collaborative Commons and the eclipse of capitalism.

Rifkin uncovers a paradox at the heart of capitalism that has propelled it to greatness but is now taking it to its death—the inherent entrepreneurial dynamism of competitive markets that drives productivity up and marginal costs down, enabling businesses to reduce the price of their goods and services in order to win over consumers and market share. (Marginal cost is the cost of producing additional units of a good or service, if fixed costs are not counted.) While economists have always welcomed a reduction in marginal cost, they never anticipated the possibility of a technological revolution that might bring marginal costs to near zero, making goods and services priceless, nearly free, and abundant, and no longer subject to market forces.

Now, a formidable new technology infrastructure—the Internet of things (IoT)—is emerging with the potential of pushing large segments of economic life to near zero marginal cost in the years ahead. Rifkin describes how the Communication Internet is converging with a nascent Energy Internet and Logistics Internet to create a new technology platform that connects everything and everyone. Billions of sensors are being attached to natural resources, production lines, the electricity grid, logistics networks, recycling flows, and implanted in homes, offices, stores, vehicles, and even human beings, feeding Big Data into an IoT global neural network. Prosumers can connect to the network and use Big Data, analytics, and algorithms to accelerate efficiency, dramatically increase productivity, and lower the marginal cost of producing and sharing a wide range of products and services to near zero, just like they now do with information goods.

Rifkin concludes that capitalism will remain with us, albeit in an increasingly streamlined role, primarily as an aggregator of network services and solutions, allowing it to flourish as a powerful niche player in the coming era. We are, however, says Rifkin, entering a world beyond markets where we are learning how to live together in an increasingly interdependent global Collaborative Commons. --macmillan.com

About the Author: Jeremy Rifkin is the bestselling author of twenty books on the impact of scientific and technological changes on the economy, the workforce, society, and the environment. He has been an advisor to the European Union for the past decade.

Mr. Rifkin also served as an adviser to President Nicolas Sarkozy of France, Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany, Prime Minister Jose Socrates of Portugal, Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero of Spain, and Prime Minister Janez Janša of Slovenia, during their respective European Council Presidencies, on issues related to the economy, climate change, and energy security.

Cheer up Rickey. I think there are some very sane & bright people in the governments (and armed forces) of both the U.S. and Russia and they would strive hard to avoid a thermonuclear war.Remember, it is profitable for a small group of people to profit from mere threat of war. If I were you, I would sit tight and enjoy life!

In the coming thermonuclear war Brazil will be an ally of the BRIC's - Russia is twice as big than the United States, I have no idea how many people will be able to survive in Russia after the US and Russia exchange thousands of thermonuclear warheads.

BRIC was created by O'Neil (?) of your friends G& Sachs as "emerging" economic bloc and not as "allies" to wage war against another bloc. B & R have plenty of resources to sustain themselves alone, whereas the resources of I & C are depleted and need them from somewhere else (I hear both are quite active in Africa, the dark continent). IMHO, BRICS is a group of strange bedfellows or the marriage was forcibly arranged by the G&S. smilies/grin.gif

If a thermonuclear war does take place between the Yanks& Ruskies, I am sure Brasil will remain neutral. Years ago, there was a report on Rede Globo saying that in the event of a nuclear shoot out between those two "super powers", the safest place to escape the radiation and survive is MG (not even our state). So if you are so worried of this scenario, I think you should get back to Brasil and stay with your extended family in MG.smilies/cool.gif

I am going to remain cool and watch how the things are going to work out in the Ukraine "crisis" and not going to take any hasty decision nor scuttle my travel plans.

I'm with you Joao, "sit tight and enjoy life!" That or I will sit tight here and wait for the magnetic pole reversal. Either way (there or here) I expect I will be in the right place at the right time, won't I?

And btw, the previously virgin cu of the second ex was NOT "forcibly arranged", it was "suavely negotiated", just a natural part of what constitutes hegemony / matrimoney (a pacote de R55 in advance for two passages in the future to be exact, mutually agreed upon with full faith, trust and gentleness.) That it ended up being liked so much by her side of the deal it went seven times with no further expectations of remuneration was not reneging on my part. To this day she hates with a passion me telling people what she sold out for so little (it was supposed to be a private matter just between us.) OMG how naïve, docile and "neutral" she was at the beginning and how aggressive she ultimately became when my "plenty of resources" became cut off from her grasping . . .

All in all you're just another bric in the wall.

No doubt there will be further intercourse with the Putin but in the end Mother Russia has the upper hand. Old agreements are sometimes honored, "strange bedfellows" tend to reunite over common causes, old debts are sometimes paid. Just call me lucky.

Part 1 of 2

Joao, before WW I they also had the most intelligent people in the world (the Germans) making decisions and things got completely out of control. I don't think these very smart people expected that 17 million people would die as a direct result of WW I.

The same happened in WW II, and the most intelligent people in the world again (the Germans) making decisions and the other Europeans, and things again got completely out of control. I don't think these very smart people again expected that 72 million people would die as a direct result of WW II.

In 2014 we have many countries armed with thermonuclear weapons that are one thousand times more powerful than the little toys that the United States dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Some of the Russian Thermonuclear weapons are 5,000 times more powerful than the little nukes that the US dropped in Japan.

In the same way that happened in WW I, and in WW II - the most intelligent people in the world again (the Germans) making decisions, the United States, the Russians, and the other Europeans, and things are going to get completely out of control as in the past. I don't think these very smart people once again expect that over 1 billion people would die as a direct result of WW III. Today we have a great number of thermonuclear weapons, plus the damage that these things should cause to the environment, it's possible that after the dust settles a few billion people died as a result of WW III.

If you watch the video with the interview of Gar Alperovitz, he is an authority regarding the subject about the nuclear weapons that the US dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As he said, people were not bad, and they were not evil, and it was totally unnecessary to drop the bombs in Japan, the bomb was just a diplomatic tool for the US.

The United States already dropped 2 nukes in Japan, and these were very rudimentary nuclear weapons compared of the destructive power that Russia, and the US have today.

Finally the ultimate and the extreme act of human violence such as in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, here are some important fact about the nukes they dropped in Hiroshima and in Nagasaki:

On August 6, 1945, the United States used a massive, atomic weapon against Hiroshima And on August 9, 1945 only three days after the bombing of Hiroshima, another B-29 dropped another atomic bomb over Nagasaki.

That was in 1945 (by the way, they did not have CNN and BBC cable news 24/7 at that time) and the United States did not give enough time for Japan to absorb the news, and realize the scope of the damage that the atomic bomb had caused to Hiroshima.

The truth is: there was nothing to do with the Japanese surrendering after the first bomb was dropped, and had everything to do with testing which type of atomic bomb would cause more damage to the enemy.

Most people don't know the name Enola Gay, that of the plane, named for the pilot's mother, that dropped the bomb on Hiroshima, which eventually killed 286,818 people in a city of about 350,000.
Regarding Nagasaki it's estimated that eventually killed 162,083 people in a city of about 263,000.

Updated annually on the anniversaries of the bombings, as of August 2013 the memorials record the names of almost 450,000 deceased as a result from the nuclear bomb attack: 286,818 in Hiroshima, and 162,083 in Nagasaki.

The nuclear weapon "Little Boy" was dropped on the city of Hiroshima on Monday, August 6, 1945, followed on August 9 by the detonation of the "Fat Boy" nuclear bomb over Nagasaki. These are to date the only attacks with nuclear weapons in the history of warfare.

The bombs killed as many as 240,000 people in Hiroshima, and 80,000 in Nagasaki by the end of 1945, with roughly half of those deaths occurring on the days of the bombings. Amongst these, 15–20% died from injuries or the combined effects of flash burns, trauma, and radiation burns, compounded by illness, malnutrition and radiation sickness. Since then, more have died from leukemia and solid cancers attributed to exposure to radiation released by the bombs. In both cities, most of the dead were civilians.

The Nagasaki bomb, dropped by the Boeing B-29 Bockscar was much more explosive bomb (22 kilotons of TNT as opposed to 13) than the bomb dropped on Hiroshima three days earlier, and was a plutonium bomb, whereas the Hiroshima bomb was a uranium bomb.

Basically the U.S. dropped the second atomic bomb in Japan just as a weapon test, since they were two different types of atomic bombs, then the U.S. had to drop the second bomb, because they had to test which type of bomb was a more effective weapon of mass destruction.

Hiroshima: "Little Boy" = 13 kilotons of TNT and it was a plutonium bomb = killed as many as 140,000 people

Nagasaki: "Fat Boy" = 22 kilotons of TNT and it was a uranium bomb = bomb killed as many as 80,000 people

Gar Alperovitz is an authority regarding the subject about the nuclear weapons that the US dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The war against Japan was almost over, and it wasn't necessary to drop the nuclear bombs in Japan. But they did anyway, because they needed to test the 2 nuclear bomb devices to see which one was more efficient and destrutive.

The nuclear bomb attacks against Japan it was just a test.

No big deal.

Note:

First developed by the United States in the early 1950s, the hydrogen or thermonuclear bomb is perhaps a thousand times more powerful than a uranium- or plutonium-based fission bomb, making it effectively the nuclear weapon's nuclear weapon.

Only the five permanent United Nations Security Council members — the United States, Russia, Britain, France and China — are known to possess hydrogen bombs.

The difference between a hydrogen bomb and a regular uranium or plutonium bomb is that a hydrogen bomb uses fusion instead of fission to generate the main explosion.

In a fission reaction, unstable isotopes of the heavy elements uranium and plutonium are split into smaller atoms, releasing a large amount of energy proportional to the amount of material used.

In a fusion reaction, two atoms of the lightest element, hydrogen, fuse to create one atom of helium, the next-lightest element — and release much more energy.

PS: they don’t list it, but Israel is also supposed to have hydrogen bombs.

Common sense tell you that the first thing they are going to do in case of war between the USA vs Russia/China is to destroy every satellite that we have in the skies.

It doesn't matter for what purpose the satellite is used for or how old the satellite is - they have to cut communications and military capabilities of each other side.

The banking system, and communications companies will be able to use only the under the ocean cables that they have until they also destroy these capabilities.

Most likely most of your cable TV system will not work, and also your cel phones.

It will be a very interesting war, and see how people can survive such a ordeal.

Reality check for a thermonuclear war between the: USA vs. Russia

Don't worry about the nukes, the Soviet Union over 50 years ago they already had a thermonuclear weapon twice as powerful than the “Tsar Bomba” - just imagine what the Russians must have today with their state-of-the-art technology of the 21st century.

If the “Tsar Bomba” the 57 megaton bomb was 2,500 times more powerful than the deadly bomb that annihilated Hiroshima, then the Soviet Union 100 megaton bomb that they never tested must be at least 5,000 times more powerful than the deadly bomb that annihilated Hiroshima.

Tsar Bomba - 2,500 times more powerful than the deadly bomb that annihilated Hiroshima
http://youtu.be/XrwK-zS2HZ8

Tsar Bomba ("Emperor Bomb") is the nickname for the Russian hydrogen bomb, the most powerful nuclear weapon ever detonated. It's October 30, 1961 test remains the most powerful artificial nuclear explosion in human history.

It was the ultimate display of mankind's destructive power - an earth-shattering explosion 2,500 times more powerful than the deadly bomb that annihilated Hiroshima and helped bring an end to the Second World War.

***

Keep in mind the Tsar Bomb was technology of 50 years ago most likely today the Russians have an improved version of the Tsar Thermonuclear Bomb.

The Tsar Bomba or “King of the Bombs” was just a 57,000,000 Tonnes of TNT – The Soviet Union had a “Thermonuclear Bomb” twice as powerful the 100,000,000 Tonnes thermonuclear bomb that was never tested – the Russians were afraid of testing that one, but the device was ready to go.

If a “Tsar Bomba” was dropped in New York city the destruction it would have been astronomical, and that would have killed everything alive from New York to Philadelphia which is only 100 miles away.

I don't think the Soviet Union ever gave a name for the 100,000,000 Tonnes Thermonuclear bomb, but an appropriate name for this new toy is: “The Apocalypse”

If “The Apocalypse Thermonuclear bomb” ever be dropped in any US city the destruction it would be astronomical, and “The Apocalypse” could kill everything that is alive in a radius of over 200 miles around it.

“The Apocalypse Thermonuclear bomb” is 5,000 times more powerful than the deadly bomb that annihilated Hiroshima.

“The Apocalypse”

The Soviet Union had in 1963 a hydrogen bomb twice as powerful than “Big Ivan” or the “Tsar Bomba” - let's call the 100 megaton thermonuclear bomb: “The Apocalypse”

On 16 January 1963 Khrushchev made an explicit claim that the Soviet Union was in possession of a 100 megaton bomb, claiming that it was located in East Germany.

joao, i must say , what a wonderful sight to see in the santa catarina news that, not only, as you pointed out, students pulled down a red flag and replaced it with a brazilian flag at the university and sang the national anthem, but, then, after these red flaggers took over land, got moved to another place officialy, they came back, and the residents protested and then , they burned a red flag of these land grabbers...who quite a few already had homes and middle class acessaries

now that is what im talking about...its about time people are standing up to this crap and not taking the red flag pill bulls**t...this gives me great hope and animation for the coming months...the copa is going to be nothing short of spectacular

wow, ricy, you better get your nuclear shelter stocked up...and join the other americans who have devoted their lives to banking on the destruction of the usa...im still following your financial advice about the dollar , and keep losing my shirt..but, im so willing to beleive you that i will follow your advice over a cliff...because i know that inevitable date the dollar colapses to nothing and the usa empire will implode on itself is coming..maybe next century, or two, but it will come, and while i am dead and rotting in my grave, i can at least know i listened to your wise advanced financial advice to the letter ...my ass is getting creamed now, folling it, eating away at what little i could have passed to my kid, but, what has that got to do with understanding the real financial world you know so well , and give out such incredible advice that will carry over into the next century, or two....

hey with the impending nuclear exchange that is coming...money will take on a new meaning anyway...

i dont know what id do with out your precious , insightful, advanced knowledge of the failings of the usa and its impending fall into pergatory...gosh, you americans still living in the usa are going to be double losers, your money will colapse to nothing, but, dont worry, you will be pulvarised by a nuclear hydrogen bomb bigger than any made, first , so you wont feel the financial problems...you will just be a stain on the cement

The "Amarildos" have become a pain the butt for everyone, including the government (municipal, state and the federal), ASP. Decades ago, the places they tried to occupy were environmentalists' paradise. No bandidos,no squatters, no drug dealers and one could even camp there. In spite of all the "development", Rio Vermelho still has its serenity and beauty and these jerks have to go and disturb the lives of the residents.smilies/angry.gif They were looking for a fight and they got it.I have no pity nor patience for them. What amazes me is that they still think an average Brasilian would rally around them because of the "red flags", while knowing full well the voters in the state finally kicked the red flaggers in the municipal elections for good. Forget about the coming elections. The don't have a chance. The leftists shed crocodile tears for the "have nots" while they are lining up their own pockets and many are sick and tired of them.smilies/angry.gifsmilies/angry.gif

They did not move from there "officially". A "padre" has given "temporary shelter" to them in a land outside the Island. There again the padre is doing his "charity work" at someone else's cost. The land belongs to a Mexican woman who bought it along with her Brasilian husband from whom she is divorced and is now living in Mexico City in a rental property. She had leased the land to the priest who has housed these ruffians without her knowledge nor authorization!

btw, when I see one of those "leftist intellectual professors" who live in the condos in Rio Vermelho , the next time, I am going to tell them "Shame on you all" for kicking their "underprivileged" fellow lefties out of their neighborhood. smilies/wink.gifsmilies/cheesy.gifsmilies/grin.gif

Webster University and the Office of Corporate Partnerships welcome Richard D. Wolff, Professor of Economics Emeritus, University of Massachusetts, as the 2014 Global Leader in Residence for the College of Arts & Sciences.

Wolff's work challenges the conventional wisdom that capitalism is the ideal framework for the political economy. Recently, he has concentrated on analyzing the causes of alternative solutions to the global economic crisis. In 2010, Wolff put his economic theory into action, and co-founded Democracy at Work, a project that aims to build a social movement and society whose workplace is more equitable, sustainable and democratic.

On April 9, 2014, Richard Wolff delivered this presentation, entitled "How the Economic Crisis Reshapes Europe" to Webster University students, faculty and staff.

Joao, we apparently tromped on each other in the last firefight, I didn't see your ventalidor post. No, the SAC base near where I grew up was closed and the bunkers and silos filled in all while I was too young to drive a car. (But once I was old enough, that territory, if you knew how to jimmy the gate and sneak past the "guard", made for great "parking" zones - many many thanks to the inventors of the Ford "Pinto" with the fold down back seat!) Yes I'm within quick hiking distance of the nearest abandoned Shrike silo but those were not hardened. If the ground movement from the pacific plate shift and the New Madrid fault line don't take out my 4 meter deep basement walls, I think I'm better off just staying put. Worse come to worse, although the old sled dogs may be a bit grisly I know what they ate wasn't contaminated.smilies/shocked.gif

written by Costinha, April 25, 2014

There was this boy … named Pimpleton; born so fugly that a Plastic Surgeon wanted to add a tail on him. He eventually became the Poster-Boy for an “INBREEDING” program in Alabama.

They kept feeding “Big Macs” to this thing as he grew-up, uglier than the north-facing end of a south-bound mule. However, he did not age well like good wine, but spoiled, sour and bitter like Russian c**ktail. As time passed, he learned to unclench his buttocks and release some of that bitterness.

Never had held a job in his insignicant life, he was hired as the “punching bag” at the local boxing gym, and improved his looks. He has since changed his name to “Sergay” (in Portuguese meaning “being gay”), and now lives a happy life as a hairy-breast cross-dresser.

Joao, Sir Lloyd already told you you have at least another 20 years before the end. I wouldn't go through all that trouble building a dungeon if I were you. Just bring the drinks and extra ammo to my bunker. The spring box up the hill from me has been flowing for over 500 years according to the geological prophets who studied it so I'm sure my artesian well can provide all the branch water you need for dry-packed mixers of your choice. With a secure open water source (which we will heavily defend!) there's always a supply of fresh meat "on the hoof" so's to speak traipsing through twice daily. Being the polar vortex is likely to return we could always just hitch up the sled dogs and head up to get some caribou, bear and wild cranberries for variety's sake. Who knows, maybe it will return with a vengeance (showing global cooling theory is correct vs global warming) and we won't have to use a boat at all to assist in crossing the northern polar "REGION" vs taking the longer southern route across the Antarctic "CONTINENT" to help with the search for MH370. Do you subscribe to the theory that when the magnetic poles reverse that you would be better off here than there?

BTW: I for one don't actually care where Lloyd Cata is incarcerated. For all we know he could be in Costinha's honey shack right now.

Rickey, glad to see you got back your customary sense of humor! I love well trained dogs and the video clip was great to watch. Short and sweet.smilies/cheesy.gif

But...but...but.. they are not Chinese dogs nor catholic (or protestant). They are Japanese and more likely practice Shintoism. smilies/cool.gif

Thanks for the suggestion,Simp. Ah think I 'll accept your offer and bring all the items you have listed. You think I should add some solar panels (Made in Brasil) in my baggage? Probably you already have some produced in PRC, but not corresponding to you expectations?. You may have artesian well, but need electricity to pump it out, unless your are planning on to utilize "animal traction" (meaning you request your old sled dogs to "cooperate"). The whole plan sounds good to me, though.smilies/wink.gifsmilies/cheesy.gifsmilies/grin.gif

But...but...but... you think we can give asylum to both Sir Lloyd and Rickey, as they are the first ones to be vaporized in the event of a thermonuclear war? Of course, we will attach certain "conditions" one of which is that they bring their own dogs to give força to our "Comrade Dogs".

I for one don't actually care where Lloyd Cata is incarcerated. For all we know he could be in Costinha's honey shack right now

P.S:Until a couple of hours ago, we had gorgeous fall weather. Sunny with blue skies. Now it is overcast. Global Cooling? Yes. Magnetic poles reverting? A loud NO. Maybe we have to invite your ex-Vice President to participate in this forum to discuss about these theories. He may end up getting another Nobel award for peace (or physics?, I don't recall) for "discovering" this phenomenon.smilies/cool.gif

Joao, an artesian well is also known as a flowing well. No pump is required. Mine discharges over 140 mil litros por dia all under mother nature's power at a constant 9.5C year in and year out. The solar panels might be a nice addition if you'd like to keep toastier than that during the winter or wanted hot water for bathing. I've already laid out the plans to quickly cobble together a hydro powered electrical system for the bunker but it's capacity is quite limited. Just enough to support the essentials. It's hard to play cards at night with nothing but campfire light and considering how cold it is we would certainly not wish to waste even a drop of that precious fuel you're providing by burning it. You do know you have to bring the high test stuff right? 51 Bem Envelhecido just won't do.smilies/grin.gif

What to avoid in the Midwest? Let's think about that a bit. How about Kip's Bar out in the middle of nowhere on the east side of highway N between Stoughton and the interstate. Large gravel parking lot with sign out front advertising "SEAFOOD FRIDAY" described further as "Trout, Blue Gill, Perch".

German Fest in Milwaukee is Saturday, July 26th. The fest actually is from Thursday to Sunday. You can catch the USA COACH bus from O'Hare (terminal 1 / 2 across from the Hilton.) They run once every hour. If your sled dogs want to do the whole shebang including the indian casino then I'd suggest you cut your losses and stay someplace like Germantown (well out of the beaten path with no taxi or bus service nor "nightlife") and put yourselves completely at risk. Joao, when you do make your trip, bring TGB along for his long overdue visit back home. We need his anthropomorphic investigative skills here to determine whether any of those moxas da Nigeria have made it into the local meat market.

I heard the "mainstream media" talking heads last night saying that anyone looking to investigate further what happened in Bengazi rather than simply dropping it and believing in the early (intentional) misstatements / misdirection and tendency for natural bureaucratic muck-ups (to be swept under the rug as a matter of routine course regardless of regime) are in a "delusional minority group that shouldn't be allowed to have such power". Well wake me the F up! Now I'm a part of a minority, can not have a voice and told that the people of the good ole US of A are delusional and have no right to know what their duly elected officials are / are not doing for the people they send afar? I'm wondering what the hell these election / re-election spinners on the democratic side have been smoking. (Yeah, sorry about the mil palavras sentence but something about that just steamed me / left a bad taste in my mouth. Not the same as muscolos harvested from the rocks near praia do abrico. The stars (asterisks) in costa's post should be self-explanatory for most readers so there's nothing to be said about them (except that it takes a lot of them to fill Costinha's gap.) I would not be surprised to find out that this fellow and his organization is also creating trouble in Brazil, and Argentina.

It's obvious he is getting his funding from people in the United States, including the CIA, and just God knows who else.

our wonderful citizens said no to elke batista coming down and poluting our pristine beaches with creating shipping lanes and a port that would have destroyed wonderful natural envirns...and then we see he does polute and destroy nature in other projects and was actualy just an underhanded desperate elite going down anyway...

im getting really exited for the copa to arrive...something wonderful happens in the normaly closed media, they start showing , in each city , before a brazilian game, the real people demonstrating their wonderful cultures...this is a very breif moment where a person can actualy see the unbeleivable richness of the various brazilian cultures and the real people of brazil...this has been totaly smothered and destroyed by normal corporate media television...buried suffocated and diminished

even if its only one minute and with some talking head blabbing over it, for those breif moments, you really get a glimpse of the real treasure and richness of brazil and its people...

Costinha: "W.T.F. do you want, a sperm sample??" Desculpa bicho, verme, bichano, boiela ou qualquer coisa vc e. If the mainstream media is not feeding the PUS a line of bull, under Sharia law you would need a minimum of four adult males to back up your accusation of having been raped. Why would you even consider coughing up or drizzling out a sperm sample? You know that would confuse the hell out of the FBI crime lab. Five, eight, a dozen DNA mixes? For sure they would be able to positively identify your assailant. Who is your daddy? Or better yet, who were his buddies? Inquiring minds want to know.

Regarding Nigeria Part 1 of 2

If history serves as a guide, then here is what must be going on behind the scenes regarding Nigeria

The US mainstream media is so discredited at this point that is not even funny. You need to be very naïve, and ignorant, to believe in many of their stories.

Basically, US mainstream news is designed for entertainment, and you need to take most of their stories with a grain of salt.

I understand Americans are saturated with so much non-sense that pass in the United States as news that they need the escapism provided by what is supposed to be the news provided by the BBC, CNN (the Cartoon Network) and most of the US mainstream media. News in the United States is nothing more than showbiz designed to entertain the population.

For example in 2012 the NGO Invisible Children’s Kony 2012, a documentary about the sketchy African warlord Joseph Kony, went viral on YouTube, (37 million people watched it in a matter of days), and the US mainstream media did beat that story to death as usual.

That video received a lot of publicity from the US mainstream media, as a piece of real news, but after the video was exposed as a hoax, the mainstream media didn't go back and let the public know that the video was a hoax.

On May 5, 2014, I was watching for a minute CNN (the Cartoon Network), and they interviewed the producer of that video as if that video was real news. They did that to reinforce the latest “false flag event” about the 200 missing girls from Nigeria.

For some reason CNN (the Cartoon Network), a supposed news TV channel, doesn't have a clue that the NGO Invisible Children’s Kony 2012, a documentary that they still are talking about it as if that was real news and not a hoax that got out of hand, because the television networks didn't check if that story was real, or just a hoax.

NGO Invisible Children’s Kony 2012, a documentary about the sketchy African warlord Joseph Kony, went viral on YouTube last week.

Kony 2012 is but another piece of slick propaganda designed to tug on the heart strings – and the purse strings – of ignorant Americans who are clueless about the real reasons why the globalists are now moving into Africa in a big way. Invisible Children’s connections to USAID and thus the CIA should put the effort in context.

The Brain Dead Society

For the last 25 years more than 9 million people has died in Africa as a result of very nasty civil wars, and we have had very little news coverage here in the United States all these years about this sea of blood all over many Africa countries, even when the United States was involved as in Angola.

Muammar Gaddafi was the African leader that fought all these years to keep the United States from building military bases in Africa. And that was one of the major reasons the United States wanted to get rid of Muammar Gaddafi.

As soon as Gaddafi was assassinated the United States started building many military bases in Africa. And since then the US it has built 35 new military bases around Africa to terrorize the African people with drone attacks.

The false flag event “Kony 2012 Hoax” was created by the CIA to create an enemy to justify the idea of sending US soldiers to that part of Africa. And now they are using the same strategy with the phoney story about the kidnapped girls in Nigeria to put boots on the ground. It's easy for these CIA people to stage some kidnapping of 200 girls, and create a “Wag the Dog” scenario just like in the movie.

It's not just a coincidence that Nigeria a country that has a lot of oil such as in Iraq, Libya, and Iran, in November 13, 2013, the United States added 2 Nigerian groups to U.S. list of terrorist organizations.

It's obvious that Nigerian oil is in play, and it's the real reason of what is behind the hoax about the story of the 200 kidnapped girls in Nigeria.

Please wake up people, you don't need to look any further than the history of the United States in relation to the countries of Africa.

Americans never gave a s**t about all the civil wars that were happening in Africa the last 25 years were more than 9 million people has died, and probably double that amount have been displaced from where they used to live and became refugees.

Most Americans can't even find where the African Continent is located in a map, and a lot of Americans think that Africa is a country located somewhere around the world.

I know Americans don't want to use their brain to think, otherwise the United States wouldn't be in such a mess today. The US mainstream media knows that it's more relaxing to watch and talk about the Kardashians, Justin Bieber, and now Monica Lewinsky.

And now they came up with a new false flag event that 200 Nigerian girls have been kidnapped and are being sold to man who want a wife, or something like that.

Americans never gave a s**t all these years about the atrocities that happened across Africa where over 9 million people died, and now I am supposed to believe that the US government is concerned about 200 girls who are supposed to be kidnapped by some group in Africa.

I guess we are supposed to play the game with the US mainstream media and the US government, and are supposed to be outraged with this case of kidnapping in Nigeria.

I know, we are supposed to go along with US “Operation Clueless” that the United States is running around the world including Africa.

It's not just a coincidence that Nigeria a country that has a lot of oil such as in Iraq, Libya, and Iran, in November 13, 2013, the United States added 2 Nigerian groups to U.S. list of terrorist organizations.

WASHINGTON — Two Islamist groups in Nigeria have been added to the State Department's list of foreign terrorist organizations...Boko Haram and a splinter group, Ansaru, were named to the federal roster of terrorist groups after U.S. officials determined that they had received training and some financing from the Al Qaeda affiliate in North Africa.

First Iraq: they demonized Saddam Hussein, destroyed his entire country, to loot the oil resources of that country. The place still in complete chaos....

Second Libya: they demonized Muammar Gaddafi, destroyed his entire country, to loot the oil, and gold resources of that country. The place still in complete chaos....

Third Iran: they have been demonizing the leaders of Iran, since 1979, and they have been talking about waging war against Iran for many years, also to loot the oil and gas resources of that country.

Regarding Nigeria Part 3 of 3

Fourth Sudan: they created a nasty civil war in the Sudan where more than 2 million people died, and more than 4 million were internally displaced or become refugees as a result of the civil war and war-related impacts. Also again to loot the rich oil resources of that country.

Fifth Congo: the Congo Civil War (also known as the Great War of Africa) began in August 1998, the deadliest war in modern African history, it has directly involved nine African nations, as well as about 20 armed groups. By 2008, the war and its aftermath had killed 5.4 million people, mostly from disease and starvation, the Congo has become a never-ending nightmare, one of the bloodiest conflicts since World War II.

It seems incomprehensible that the biggest country in sub-Saharan Africa and on paper one of the richest, teeming with copper, diamonds and gold, vast farmlands of spectacular fertility and enough hydropower to light up the continent...Congo is estimated to possess $24 trillion of mineral resources.
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/12...d=all&_r=0

Sixth Angola: The Angolan Civil War lasted from November 11, 1975 – April 4, 2002 with more than 500,000 people dead and over one million had been internally displaced and became refugees in other countries, and the United States was a major feature of the conflict. Angola is also a country with vast natural resources including oil, and gold.

Finally Nigeria, Nigeria has a large Muslim population, and in the last few years Nigeria has been engulfed into sectarian civil war where the homegrown Islamic extremist group Boko Haram is inciting a religious crisis by attacking Christian churches in an attempt to destabilize the government. Those attacks have taken more than 1,000 lives over the past year and the volume, lethality and sophistication of the attacks are escalating.

But that is nothing when compared with the Nigerian Civil War of 1967 to 1970.

The Nigerian Civil War, also known as the Biafran War, July 6, 1967 – January 15, 1970, was an ethnic and political conflict caused by the attempted secession of the southeastern provinces of Nigeria as the self-proclaimed Republic of Biafra. The conflict was the result of economic, ethnic, cultural and religious tensions mainly between the Hausas of north and the Igbo of the southeast of Nigeria. Over the two and half years of the war, 1 million civilians died from famine and fighting.

And guess what?

Nigeria is one of the largest oil producers in Africa.

I understand that Americans have been brainwashed with endless terrorist stories, and there's a boogeyman everywhere that's is coming to get America.

But when most of the deception is uncovered, what is behind the mask, it has nothing to do with democracy, or going to help people in need. The real goal is to pillage the resources of all these countries, and also of everybody in sight.

Regarding Nigeria Part 4 of 4

My best guess is that this kidnapping story in Nigeria was a staged event to justify sending US troops to Nigeria.

When millions of people were being killed in Africa in all these civil wars in the last 30 years Americans never gave a s**t about the 9 million Africans who died in all these conflicts.

And now Americans are making all this big deal, because around 300 girls who were supposed to be kidnapped.

And they expect me to believe that Americans give a s**t about these African girls.

More than 2 million people died in the Sudan in the last few years, and there are a lot people who still dying, because of the civil war in Sudan.

Americans didn't give a s**t about this genocide that still underway in Sudan.

Americans have more important things to worry and talk about as what is happening in the private lives of such people as the Kardashians, Justin Bieber, and now Monica Lewinsky. (The blow job girl.)

I bet that at least 95 % of the American population can't find Nigeria in a map.

If Nigeria didn't have the largest oil resources in Africa, then the US mainstream media would not be mentioning the kidnapping of these girls even as a curiosity.

The Boko Haram deal has been going on for years. It's nothing new. This group was placed in the US terrorist list only 5 months ago.

Now they cooked up this deal about the kidnapping of these girls to justify sending US troops to Nigeria, and the American troops can even come up with 300 girls - just give them a few bucks for them to play their part.

This entire charade is about the US interest in Nigerian oil.

This entire bulls**t is about oil, and nothing else.

The US government doesn't give a s**t about the 40 million black population that live in the United States, and do you think they care about 300 Nigerian girls in Africa?

If Nigeria had no oil, we would not be having this discussion, and turn this issue into a big circus.

Drone attacks carried out by the United States are immoral and illegal, says Abayomi Azikiwe, editor at Pan-African News Wire.

"We can see very clearly that this is part and parcel of a broader United States military program towards Africa," Azikiwe added.

A political analyst tells Press TV that the US assassination drone attacks amount to a "war crime" against civilians by a government that claims moral leadership of the world. As the number of casualties by US drone attacks in several countries increases, Washington claims the targets of the drone attacks are al-Qaeda militants, but local officials and witnesses maintain that civilians have been the main victims of the attacks over the past few years.

To further discuss the issue, Press TV's News Analysis program has conducted an interview with Mike Harris, financial editor of Veterans Today (Arizona), Lawrence J. Korb, senior fellow of American Progress (Washington), and Toby Blome, CodePink peace activist (Washington).

Since helping keep all of Europe and GB from being overrun not once, but twice, ditto for various parts of the orient and elsewhere? Donno Jaoa, now that Ricky has arrived on scene we may reach a 360 comment count and come full circle rather rapidly.

Just a thought for the good senator, maybe an elaborate research study should be commissioned before any decisions are made. TGB and his minions could lead. The concept I'm thinking about is to restore the perimeter and reinforce it at the abandoned Telerj facility. Invest in turning it into a high tech, highly controlled, indoor "medical grade" maconha production facility. A few of the marauding MST hoard and others could be provided with decent and worthy employment at relatively low expense (or depending on the market forces, a high profit margin federalized industry.) For the "workers" you just have to issue them a bed roll to go sleep in the bushes (made from recycled red flags of course), make sure they have plenty of clean water (i.e. advance notice of when the automated sprinkler system will kick on), munchies and "share cropper" rights to "partake" of a portion of the fruits of their labor. A grand social experiment wouldn't you say?

written by Simpleton, May 13, 2014
Of course attempting to manage the vagaries of such a project would be rather difficult. During the initial phases plenty of strong backs for the brick, block and mortar work would be needed. Further "quota" systems would have to be employed during various other phases as well ultimately leading to the need for ensuring an adequate ratio of fat bottomed girls to make the rockin' world go round and maintain the internal harmony. The complex would ultimately have to act principally in a diode type action, once in - never out, with security measures at or beyond what the federal pens currently afford. There would be of course be the need to upgrade and replace some of the communication towers up on the morro from time to time but that too could be highly controlled, we'd call it the POL-POT regime.
