Then, I must say the Brazilian government is poeple-phobic!! You cannot compare Brazil's social economic situation to that of other countries. Most importantly, before acusing and naming, there must be a certain research to check the reliability of your conclusions. First, abandoning children on the streets is NOT regarded as normal in Brazilian society, neither is it completely neglected by the government! If u care to know, in Brazil there is a huge law for the protection of children rights!! And sexual exploitation of children is also a practice of tourists that visit the country. Brazil has a very different history than many other countries.. a history of exploitation and due to that fact, many issue become difficult to be resolved in times that the economic has always had to catch up with great economies around the world. Offcourse that some may say that that old discourse of history of exploitation is an old one... but, interestingly, no one has never even taken responsability for those acts!! Now it seems to be Brazil's problem! Brazil inability to solve their economic problems... well.. i'd say that is a too shallow of an argument. Moreover, what are we talking about when we think of social differences and poverty and racism in the U.S.A? What I mean is that, sometimes we are pointing our foreign fingers at others, but in reality, those problems are right behind our save corners. Here in Holland for example, it has become common practice for girls under the ages of 13 and 14 to exchange sexual "services" for a damnm Breezer! Now , I'd call that a problem.
