To the unhappy human being who posted the first comment!!! II\'ve seen your comments all over this magazine, your logic is the logic of a four year old with brain damage and your comments about the economy of Brazil only tells me that you are iliterate and that newspappers are not sold in your town! By the way there\'s vast world outside your couch that could teach you something if you only bothered to stop masturbating for awhile.
As for the article, it was was very touching. - Gustavo Brum

Has anyone ever noticed that United only stops Brazilians for security inspection at the airport in Conconhas, Sao Paulo? If you are blond with blue eyes you go right through. It is Brazilians discriminating against Brazilians. - Guest

Are you crazy? Hell I\'ll pick up a gun to fight. Yeah right, last time a Brazilian (tiradentes) stand up against something, he died alone...all the others run way. The only time a Brazilian stand up and didn\'t die, was because he was the king\'s son, what a jock is our history. Brazilians picking up guns, ah what a jock!

Free Market Brazil

Free markets are working in Brasil. If Amy can build and market an American school in Brasil that is working for her...then God Bless her. Another ggood example of Brasilian small business finding a niche and capitilizing. Calling this \"Imperialism\" is also a another fine example of ignorant and uneducated racists not having the brains to read an article for what is is...not just looking for the word \"American\". - Guest

Um.

How could someone call building an \"American\" school in Brazil imperialism when the American government had absolutely nothing to do with the school being built? This is just the story of one half-American half-Brazilian trying to make her way in the world.

That having been said, I do think it\'s a little superfluous to devote an entire school to learning American culture, language, food, etc. When I go to Brazil (I, too am half-American and half-Brazilian), I see places where one could learn English on practically every block, it seems like. And if Brazilians really want to emerse themselves in American culture, they can watch one of the US\'s many movies or TV shows or listen to some of its music. Once a Brazilian can speak English, I don\'t think there\'s any shortage of American culture they could delve into.

In short, while it\'s not emperialistic, an entire school devoted to one country does seem a little over-the-top. - Guest

I forgot to mention though that I am not anti american I am anti-imperialist anti-ignorant anti-criminal anti-unpoliticized anti-stupid people. I am not anti American there are Americans as there are Brazilians, Americans on this site, who cheer us with their intelligence and unselfishness blended with depth, compassion, understanding, dignity, fairness. People who help the world having a better understanding of itself. I admire people like that.

But losers such as yourself always have to twist, tort, and misquote in whatever anti-american goal you\'re trying to achieve.

Must SUCK for you living in a world dominated by the U.S. when even MILLIONS of your own people would prefer to live there than their own country.

Has Brazil not opened just recently a football school in.....RUSSIA !!!!!!!

Has anyone said Brazil is imperialist and written harsh critics ????

Is there No private school in the world where we can learn the Portuguese Brazilian ??????????
Has anyone called Brazilians of imperialist and given harsh critics because of that ????

NOT TO MY KNOWLEDGE !!!!!

Since quite recently, your country education has a mandatory 2nd language : Spanish.

Are you talking Portuguese or Spanish when you deal and negotiate with Saudi Arabia, Russia, China, India, the EU, Japan or Asia ???????

Come on !!!!!!!

By the way....WHERE DO ALL THOSE STUPID ASSHOLES ABOVE....LEARNED ENGLISH ??????????

AND WHY DID THEY LEARN ENGLISH ???????

IN YOUR MIND YOUR ARE JUST FULL OF CONTRADICTIONS AND IN YOUR BRAINS ONE THING IS MISSING : THE COMMON SENSE !

You hate America, but they are your largest client.
You hate America, but it is with them that you have your largest trade surplus.
You hate the language....but you write in English IN THIS SITE AND ELSEWHERE.
You hate the Dollar but you are quite happy to receive them or to hide them when it comes from corruption and put abroad.
You hate American multi national companies but these companies provide not only investments in your country but also jobs by the hundreds of thousands AND WITH HIGHER wages than Brazilian companies !!!!!!

SIMPLY stated : you dont know what you are talking about because your education, reflection, thus your brains are not to the standard of regular humans on this planet.

That is why you have loosers for a century and will continue for the next century.

Afterall the reality of your country economic development is quite simple :
- the lowest of all developing countries in whatever time frame pf your choice, wether it be on 4 years (Lula mandate) or 10 years or 20 years.
Last 4 years (including 2006) your growth was 3,1 %. In 10 years 1,6 % !!!

Thus, when will you stop talking and act ?

Thus, when will you stop looking and caressing your navel for your total failures ?????

Tomorrow ? But you said so every day for the last 100 years ! Are you liars or stupid ? I think both, you just promise but never ever act on your promise, the same as your politicians.

You are LOOSERS in your blood and you will remain an archaïc country with bleak future !

Just compare with your real competitors : they all beat you hands on !!!!! - Guest
