The World Social Forum (WSF) in Caracas ended its first day with a protest demonstration resounding to chanted slogans against empire and war. Many activists in the huge Venezuelan gathering can be forgiven for feeling that the tide of history is with them.

Where is the charism of Morales who just a month ago said he will be the "nightmare" of the U.S.A and just a few days ago that he wants to have FTAA discussions because "he has goods to sell and he must find markets and investments" he said. Can these goods not be sold......elsewhere, such as Brazil and Argentina who are already his biggest gas buyers, or would he prefer to sell elsewhere ? If so....WHY ?
That is in total contradiction with his will of being a "nightmare" to the USA and his ideology of being totally antineoliberalist....as he enjoys to repeat daily everywhere !.
