I can hardly blame Brazilians for giving up on the fight for their rights. But this story shows all is not hopeless. Why can't we, for instance, keep fighting until we have a post office that actually delivers the mail? Because that is not so inspiring a goal as keeping the land you make your living from, and keeping it beautiful?
