FYI, THE CHEAPEST RATE THAT I KNOW OF TO CALL BRAZIL IS TO USE 1010834 AND THEN DIAL THE NUMBER.
15 CENT A MINUTE WHEN CALLING FROM AMERICA

Thanks Gent! That's a good tip!
Don't forget thought that Sprint, AT&T, etc... all have really good single country rates.

As in my case, I only make local calls and calls to Brazil. So for 3 bucks a month with AT&T, I am only charged 6 cents a minute.

PATINHO, WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED TO GET .06 A MINUTE THROUGH ATT? I AM IN OHIO AND TO CALL RIO USING ATT WOULD COST ME .25 CENT A MINUTE. TIA

You all might check out BigZoo.com for rates.  Since there are no taxes on BigZoo nor a billing charge, or other charge, it is about the cheapest per minute, 24 hours a day that I have found.  I use it for all calls outiside my free area now -- 2.9 cents minute in US//international are incredible.  Give a look.
