This certainly seems to have shut down many posters. Be interesting to see how many actually do move over. Personally, I liked the free and open forum of before. But, will also enjoy seeing how this develops. For now, mainly just entering something to get this flowing.

Agreed, USCIT.

Also, why are there two forums? (General and Culture)

Good Question, Joe.

What is the fine line between? All is cultural.... in general.

I created these categories only for testing, Rodney will fix that.

A huge problem of free and open foruns is that anyone can post with any name. Anyway, this forum also allows guest posting if its enabled on config.

Ok, again-- thanks for taking the time. Maybe I'm asking a question or two that others might be wondering.

I came here to check the board and thought I was on the wrong site! I think it will take a little while for everyone to go through the process of getting a password and switching to the new forum. I definitly think BRAZZIL should keep the old forum as an option. It has alot of good posts that are worth taking a look at. I am still continuing to reply on the old forum, but if you notice, no one has posted anything new...

Great job Lucas, this is very well done. For now, I would like to see the old format remain. But this new format will end the game of usurping usernames to embarass or make someone look bad.

Thanks again for the cumpliments, but I've only installed the board.

My suggestion is:
If the majority of the posters migrate for the new forum the old one could be turned into a dead archive (acessible, put posting would no be allowed). What do you think?

Lucas...

Are guests allowed to post?  Or only registered members?  If guests are not allowed, that might curtail some conversations.

Probably there isn't much posting at the moment because of the holidays. I noticed before that most posting seemed to be done during workdays.

Thanks for the improvements.

Lucas,

In response to your question, personal opinion is that in time the old forum would be fine as a dead archive when most posters have at least registered with this one.

A thread might even be started on the old one when the time nears that on such and such a date, the old forum will become an archive. But whatever, that's administrative, I'm just an occasional poster.

I'll repeat Sick's compliment of the work you have done here. This forum runs smoothly and without error for anything I have done.  Great job!

Still, the option to post as anonymous (not as any name one pleases) would be nice.

Also, how can I make it so that each page of posts is at least 20 messages long? Right now I think it's set at 10. (Actually, I have no problem with it just being one huge page.)
