Forgive me if this has been "talked to death" already in these forums but I am curious. I have just finished reading a passionate letter which appeared in brazzil.com in January 2001 (http://www.brazzil.com/p35jan01.htm). this post was from 2 years ago, and I am wondering if the climate for teaching is similar today? Thanks alot. PS. Anyone know if there are teaching possiblities in Bahia? bART

Could you tell us what the letter said? The web address you listed is an article on how to teach English in Brazil. This way it could be easier to help you.

oops, actually I didn't mean to say letter. I meant article. That web link is what I am referring to. i guess it was written in such a personalized style, I think of it as a sort of letter to "people thinking about teaching English in Brazil". Thanks for pointing that out... so, any comments? Still possible to find work as outlined in the article?

Bart, there's a more current article by the same guy. Go to: http://www.geocities.com/teachinginbrazil/. If you have any questions, e-mail the guy who wrote it. He was very helpful to me. Just be aware of the visa situation -- this guy got amnesty, so your situation will be far different than his was.
