......brazilian politicians are not subject to the anti corruptions laws....they voted themselves.....but are absolved by the other as deeply corrupted.....in a secret vote......so the society is not entitled to know who voted for the guilty to be absolved.

Stupid question : therefore why even bother voting and writing such laws in your constitution and judicial books ? when there is no law......no one could be guilty.......by definition !

Anyway, Unger theories have been adopted in your country. Just look at the recognized corrupted politicians....free of wrongdoings and still with political power
decision making in the Congress.

In developed countries we name this : a s**tty and banana republic ! Meaning it is worthless. Just look at where you stand economically and politically speaking, after 2 centuries of the same messy laws. You are still an emerging country and never ever you will become a developed nation. Reality being Brazil is not a Tropical paradise but a Tropical hell having 40 % of their population living with less than US$ 2.- per day.

No one should say that 40 % is incorrect. The figure came from Brazilian ministries and were mentionned by De Rato, at this week IMF meeting in Singapore !

Quite sad that Unger ideologies deliver a not so poor country but with the highest poverty rate in this world when compared with their GDP per capita.

Very sad. A tragedy for the Brazilian society.
More of the same it seems...

Ah, the eternal clash between the King and the Artistocracy! The only losers is everybody else... Unger obviously wants a King, Emperor, Dictator, etc. in power, and he wouldn't mind being King.

The rich (the Aristocracy) want a marginal democracy and rule of law, since that is how they do business with each other, and keep the central government (that is, the King) in check.

Nothing new here. Playing games of "who has the right of decision to rape, pillage, and kill with impunity today" between the King and Aristocracy doesn't do anything (and never will) for the 95% of the population caught in the crossfire of this "battle".

Real revolution? Not going to work. You can kill the King and the whole Aristocracy and their families... only to get new ones. You can't change human nature!

So is there hope? Sure, ignore these "games" and work on improving your own life with dignity and pride, and raise your children to do the same. Enjoy your life and your family, that's all that's important.

Politics is for the greedy and the stupid.
That last one was stoooooooopid, man!

Yeah, right, and then when your king or "nothing new" aristocracy decides to send your son to invade Iraq for oil and contracts… or maybe privatize the energy system leading to new prices and blackouts… or perhaps sabotage emergency crisis policies/institutions as to let poor people die in case a hurricane shows up… or even ignorantly ignore diplomacy and treaties and thus help recreate nuclear armaggedon treat and/or world self destruction thru climate changes… THAN ALL THAT "SELF-IMPROVING" IS GONNA WORTH A NICKEL!
