Message:
Putting the US so-called democracy to shame, Brazil will hold the world's biggest electronic election on October 6, this coming Sunday.
115 million voters will use 406,000 computerized urns, from Rio to the Amazon jungle to the consulates in the US and around the world.
The Supreme electoral tribunal's Web site http://www.tse.gov.br, at the bottom of the page, has a simulated urn where you can chose between fictitious candidates like Carmen Miranda, Elis Regina, Chacrinha and Brazil's best writer ever, Machado de Assis.
Having fun

Message: You and I and millions are part of this great act of democracy that is about to happen and we should be proud.
However, it does not give you nor anyone else the right to disrespect non-Brazilians.
Freedom is not anarchy;)
Democracy is respect among many other topics.
Good day, good vote;)

Message: Congratulations, maybe with some sleek voting machines we'll start flocking to your country in order to find decent jobs. OOPS, I think not.
How about all those people that died in the US this year because of unsafe drinking water. What is it, 100X more than in Brazil, OOPs, I think not.
But at least you have voting machines.

Message: In according the Brazil news, the votation in Fernando de Noronha Island will be much more delayed. The results only will be announced after 30 days. The officers of electoral ballots are from Florida.

Message: Eric 47, those were little people statements. Try a little growing up.
Florida vote, you cracked me up. Good one.
As to the Electronic Election. Congratulations Brasil. A major step forward for any nation.
The only problem I can think of would be a hacker. A good one would control the election.

Message: FYI:
the government of the USA is not a DEMOCRACY. It is a CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC which includes a democratic means of distrubuting power.

Message: Well, it didnīt happen as fast as we expected it would be, but we have already 99% counted votes.
Less than 1% of the ballot boxes broke. Some where replaced by other electronic boxes, other were replaced by manual (paper) vote.
We received 37 countries representatives as observers.
Talking about frauds, the system is heavily protect against outsiders, as UNICAMP stated, but someone from inside the Court could fraud it.
And the staff near the ballots boxes could use absent people votes, so that is why there are fiscals from the parties.

Message: Wow, congratulations you guys. Nice work with the machines.
I guess inviting US companies in to set up your country with
some electricity was a good idea after all. Now, as soon as
you're through voting, maybe you could pay your electric bill...
Actually, I'm sure we overcharged you for the machines and
the software in them. It's probably all good.

It is not necessary. The brazilian Federal Government get to set up with thermoelectrical usines (not nuclear usines) and others ways. This problem is a global problem.
You have already forgot the problem of California about the electricity?...
