I am looking for CD's or tapes etc of
Repentistas (singing poets of the Nordeste). I heard them years ago while
in the Peace Corps in Ceara and am told there are recordings available.
Perhaps somebody knows of some folkloricist or collector that may help me.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

I'm not sure if this is exactly the same style of of music, but there was a documentary made a couple of years ago called Saudade do Futuro, about nordestino musicians who've moved to Sao Paulo. The web site is:
