Fodor's Travel Publications is looking for writers and updaters for our bi-annual publication of the "Fodor's Brazil" travel guidebook, now in its third edition. Specifically, the work involves updating existing material and writing some new reviews of sights, hotels, restaurants, etc.
Please respond only if you live in or near Belo Horizonte (or western Minas Gerais), Mato Grosso or MG do Sul, Brasilia, Fortaleza, Recife, or Natal.
We DO NOT need writers for Amazon, Rio, SP, or anything further south.
The work is in English and the deadline is February.
Please contact me if this work interests you and you live in one of the areas mentioned. You may be considered if you know one of these regions very well and are able to travel. Travel will not be subsidized.

I was recently in Brazil (last month) and of the over 20 countries I've visited over the past three years this is one I say I must revisit for an extended stay. Presently I'm in the process of writing an extensive piece on Brazil for a Jamaican newspaper. My impressions of Belo Horizonte, Brasilia, Salvador de Bahia and Recife are extensive and I would be willing to share my impressions on those locations. Email me at the above address. I have lived in Betim, Minas Gerais for the last five years. Betim is situated very close to Belo Horizonte and is widely known in Brazil because of its Fiat assembly plant.
