Right, this soap is a big mix. It has arabian culture, genetics, and an anti-drug campaign!

Its first part, said to be in the 80's, presents us Jade and Lucas. jade is from the muslim family and she is set to marry a rich guy who seems to really loves her (Said). for that, she had to keep her virginity, but she did it w/Lucas. she ends up marrying said anyway. and Lucas marries a rich girl too (Maysa).

Lucas is also the cloned guy. Don't ask me why, a scientist called Albieri clones him and implants the fetus in a girl who wants to have a baby. she doesn't know her son is a clone, she thinks she's being done artificial insemination. her name is Deusa (meaning: "goddess") and she is black. her suspects start when her son is born all-white.

Now, the second part, present day. Mel is the daughter of Lucas and Maysa. she gets into drugs since her parents are always fighting and restraining her fun.

recently, in a VERY complicated way, Deusa discovered her son is really a clone of Lucas. she delivered a wonderful, histerical interpretation.

Said got married with other woman too (poligamy is ok for this religion), which will give him his so-wanted son (he's got a daughter with Jade).

between minor characters, there is Miss Jura, which runs a cheap bar and has a tagline "não é brinquedo não" (that's no playtoy!)
Lobato, an ex-addict to drugs, keeps talking to his analyst about his problems (in a very convincent way)
that's pretty much it. the soap is a big hit, and although i dont watch it, i know all about it! isnt it weird?

Lisy...

I've been watching this since October, except for the 5 weeks I was in Portugal... I can answer many questions, but some fine points I may be missing because of my imperfect Portuguese. What do you need to know?

I have really enjoyed it, mostly...But now it seems to me they're really spinning it out...Possibly trying to use the time until the World Cup games begin or something.

If there's a way to trade email without having our addresses posted...I would tell you more...
