BTW, what are unemployment benefits like in Brazil, anyway? Do they exist, even?)

And to answer Ron somewhat seriously, if you aren't Brazilian, you don't stand much of a chance at getting yourself employed down there. You'll have to find an American co. to sponsor you, and I think you'd have to prove you have unique skills that are not available in Brazil, if you want to work beyond a short term visit.

Have you ever thought about becoming a consultant or starting your own international business. You could make a lot of contats that way. Look up Buisness Visas + Brazil on a search engine and you should be able to locate a list of Brazilian Chamers of Commere here in the US. Also you should alo be able to find a list of American Chamber of Commerce in Brazil.
