Subject: NFL in RIOPosted by NFLfan On Tuesday, September 03, 2002 at 11:33:47 Message: I will be traveling to rio soon and staying for about 2 months. I was wondering if anyone knew of places where I could watch NFL games (american football). I was there last year, and was unable to find a place to watch the games that came on Sunday. I know there is a million other things to do in Rio, but in case of a rainy day, I would like to ba able to watch the NFL. Thanks NFLfan

You might want to try to be sure your hotel has cable. ESPN International carries NFL games.

I don't care if I was in the middle of a battle, I would wanna carry a portable tv so I could catch come NFL action. But, yeah, make sure where ever you stay has cable. I was there a few weeks ago and caught a few preseason games but the commentation was in Portuguese.
