Ukrania and Colombia Inspect Brazilian Meat Before Starting to Order the Product

Representatives of the Ukranian and Colombian governments began a series of sanitary inspection visits this week to meat and chicken packing houses and dairy factories in Brazil.

Through this project the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Supply (MAPA) intends to expand the list of Brazilian exporters.

The Ukranian mission will carry out an extensive program, including visits to as many as 40 chicken and pork packing houses, through August 19. The program got underway with cities in the state of Minas Gerais. The mission traveled to São Paulo Thursday, August 11.

The Colombian technical personnel have visits scheduled to chicken packing plants in the states of São Paulo, Paraná, and Rio Grande do Sul, where dairy factories will also be inspected. Another meeting will be held in the MAPA next Wednesday, August 17.
