“The aim of the site is to make Brazilian politics more accessible and understandable to an international audience, particularly in the run-up to the 2006 presidential election. I also hope Brazilians will find the views of a resident foreigner useful even though they may not agree with them,” said Fitzpatrick, who first visited Brazil in 1987 and has been based in São Paulo since 1995.
Fitzpatrick has worked as a reporter, sub-editor, news editor, editor and columnist for newspapers, magazines, financial news agencies and radio stations in various countries. He was an associate editor of infobrazil.com for four years and is a regular columnist for brazzil.com. He has also worked as an in-house editor for Brazilian and foreign banks and financial institutions.
