US-Brazil Group to Focus on Civil Society in National Meeting in NY

The Brazil Strategy Network (BSN) will hold its fourth annual National Meeting on Saturday, November 12, 2005 in New York City.  The meeting will be from 9 am to 5pm.

The BSN will host the meeting at its office located at 119 West 24th St/6th Floor in the Chelsea district.

The Brazil Strategy Network (BSN) is a network of people dedicated to cooperative relations between Brazil and the United States based on equitable democratic development.

This is the fourth National Meeting of the Brazil Strategy Network.  This year’s meeting will focus on civil society, and our efforts to expand bi-national cooperation between social movements and organizations in Brazil and the U.S.

The meeting’s agenda includes discussions of Brazil’s current political crisis and the state of U.S.-Brazil relations. 

Dr. Sergio Haddad, Executive Director of Ação Educativa and Vice President of International Relations for the Brazilian Association of Non-governmental Organizations (ABONG), will be a special guest during the morning session.
