Germany Wants Closer Economic Ties with Brazil

Around 30 representatives from the state of Baden-Württemberg, one of Germany’s most important economic centers and the region of the country that exports the most, arrived in Brazil today for a meeting between Brazilian and German entrepreneurs and associations.

Ernst Pfister, vice-governor and Economics secretary of the state, is one of the members of the German delegation.

In São Paulo the Germans will become acquainted with the work of professionals at the Center of Specialized Information on Mechanics, in Salvador (Bahia), and the Center of Specialized Information on Wood and Furniture-Making, in Curitiba (Paraná).

These presentations are intended to show the visitors the Brazilians’ potential, in the hopes of intensifying relations between Baden-Württemberg and Brazil.

"Minister Ernst Pfister will avail himself of the business round to discuss the projects already undertaken in partnership between Brasil and Baden-Württemberg and the prospects for new plans," explains Thomas Timm, executive vice-president of the Brazil-Germany Chamber.
