Brazil’s Surplus Keeps Growing

Brazil’s Ministry of Development, Industry and Foreign Trade reports that Brazil now has a surplus for the year, up to the second week of November, totalling US$ 29.350 billion.

Between January 1 and November 14, total exports reached US$ 82.914 billion, with the average daily value running 32.5% over the same period in 2003.


Imports for the period reached US$ 53.564 billion, up 28.9% in average daily value.


For the second week in November, the surplus was US$ 546 million, with exports at US$ 2.206 billion and imports at US$1.660 billion.
