Different Styles of Necklaces for the Holidays

The holiday season’s coming in and everyone’s all set for a weeks’ worth of intimate gatherings, office parties, bar visits, and lots of other festivities before Santa rolls in. However, with so many events to go to, you might find yourself staring at your closet and wondering, ‘What should I wear?’

The age-old dilemma of what to wear and where to wear it while staring at tops and bottoms that (somehow) seems to be out of sync when you really need them not to be. What do you do? You could go shopping, but pulling out your wallet every time you need to go to an event would make you lose your mortgage.

What then? You make do with what you have, but you switch it up enough for the occasion. You save the $40 you would have spent on a new dress and instead get some accessories for $10.

Your accessories are what bring out that wow factor you’ve been looking for. A simple necklace or the right pair of earrings can make any outfit go from the thrift store to straight off of the runway.

For this holiday season, we’ll be looking at some different styles of necklaces to give with your OOTD/OOTN sorted by occasion.

Office Parties

There aren’t many people that look forward to office-related events, but that might not always be the case if the word party comes after it. Office parties come once a year as sort of an HR mandated event. Something to do with creating a better workforce. Something.

This year when everyone’s at the office holding a red plastic cup, elevator music playing in the background, and people overthinking their Secret Santa presents, make a statement with a dainty, layered, gold necklace to match your tailored separates.

Or, in case your office goes all out during office parties, this might be that one time of the year where you get to break out from the usual ‘uniform-ish’ outfit you usually wear to work. Go all out in a cute dress with a studded necklace to match.

Family Events

Your aunt might call you over for dinner before Christmas calling it ‘a small event,’ but it turns out the entire family’s invited. No harm, no foul. We love a hearty family gathering.

However, you’d look out of place if you decide to embellish yourself with something bright and sparkly around your neck. To match the occasion, go with something cute and laid back. Maybe a lily necklace to match your holiday sweater.

A Night Out With Friends

Last, but definitely not least, we have a night out with friends. Whether it’s bar hopping or a laid lack hangout at a friend’s place, there’s a necklace for the occasion.

In case you’re planning on going out with friends, you’re probably looking to go to dinner or a bar – anywhere with a lot of people. In which case, the best thing to do would be to wear a semi-formal (based on the event) outfit with a choker and layer it with a long lying necklace

Pendants are a girl’s best friend, and where there’s a necklace there’s probably a pendant on it. You could use the pendant to add a pop of color to your outfit or have it contrast with your outfit to make it stand out.

Conclusion

In conclusion, there’s a style of necklace for any time of the year! For the holiday season, you could go all out or rely on your favorite set and still look your absolute best.
