Order to Show Cause

Upon the annexed Affirmation of MICHAEL L. EDELMAN, ESQ., dated the 25th June, 2021, and the Exhibits annexed thereto, and sufficient cause being shown, LET plaintiff THIAGO MELILLO DE MACEDO show cause before this Court at IAS PART 46V, of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, held in and for the County of New York, on papers/no appearance on the 3rd day of November, 2021, why an Order should not be made and entered as follows: a) granting leave to Ginarte Gallardo Gonzalez Winograd LLP to withdraw as counsel for the plaintiff in the above captioned action; b) for a stay of the proceedings of this matter for a period of sixty days from the date this application is finally decided to permit plaintiff time to engage new counsel; and c) for such other and further relief as to this Court may seem just and proper.ORDERED, that service of a copy of this order, together with the papers upon which it is granted, be served upon THIAGO MELILLO DE MACEDO to plaintiff’s last-known mailing addresses, to wit, 561 Rittenhouse Boulevard, Norristown, PA 19403 and on the last known address of plaintiff’s friend Felipe, and by publication in the online Brazilian newsletter Brazzil, and upon Margaret G. Klein & Associates, Attorneys for Defendant 151 WEST 30TH STREET, LLC, whose office is located at 200 Madison Avenue, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10016, by Federal Express on or before October 8, 2021, and by NYSCEF, and that same shall be deemed good and sufficient service thereof; and it is further, Plaintiff Thiago de Melillo de Macedo may contact the court by email at jmdorman@nycourts.gov if he wishes to appear or oppose.
