egads won't ignore you. His will is too weak to ignore anyhing that doesn't interest him.

Besides, he lives to whine and complain.

Speaking of Pacino, I was watching Scarface just the other night.

I saw "Devil's Advocate" for the first time a week or so ago, and thought it was pretty good.

xuxa fan,

There is an obvious logic error in your sentence: "His will is too weak to ignore anyhing that doesn't interest him."

If you don't ignore something, then clearly it interests you, so my "will" doesn't come into the picture. Now if it were a case of ignoring something that did interest me, that would be a test of my "will."

Another test of my will would be to engage myself in something that doesn't interest me at all, such as watching or listening to Xuxa, reading about Xuxa, or, for that matter, writing to you. THAT takes a considerable amount of will. A good part of me just wants to say "shoo fly, go away". Or should that be "Xuuu fly?"

Your brain is too weak (possibly from excessive Xuxa obsessing) to even make sense, apparently.

Your stupidity is astounding.

Wipe the drool off of your keyboard, pinhead, and answer this: If you dislike posts about Xuxa, why do you read them?

If you are interested in Xuxa posts, which according to you, you must be because you refuse to ignore them, why do you whine like a little girl about them?

your xuxa rantings are HARD to ignore, because they are constant, persistant, repetitive, etc. etc. You don't stop and you never go away.

In my humble opinion, you are ruining what could be a very interesting message forum.

wow... this is the first time I have seen people argue over multiple posts. lol.

XUXA FAN..... hehe... I did hear a song by XUXA last night that I liked... it's a little goofy, but fun to listen to.... Cinco Patinho.... I bet you can guess why I like it.

Anyway... Pacino is the best.... Scarface is my 3rd favorite after Godfather I and II. He is just amazing. He's getting a little old though... the movie world will miss him when he retires.

But you do make a good point that "this is a Brazilian Forum and should be acceptable for XUXA posts" (even if I am not a huge fan.) Maybe I should go to an Italian Forum to talk about Pacino.....

ANYWAY... you two stop arguing... there's really no point to it... both of you make valid points and yet that is the exact reason this arguement will never get anywhere.

Let's just get back to the reason we all came here in the first place... to read and talk about Brazil. Truly, she would not want us to fight over her... hehe... ok bad joke. I am leaving... bye

Hey Patinho! I had to do a double take when I first saw your name, I thought somebody was having fun with me at first!

I too saw Scarface the other night.

Dog Day Afternoon is among my favorite Pacino movies also.

I hear Pacino and Xuxa are going to star in a movie together next year!

I don't care what any one says, Scarface is the number one movie ever made. It's the only movie I can watch consecutively day after day. I've done it before.

As Tony Montana would say..."Hey, F**K you, OK! I put this S**T together! Me that's who! ME!"

PATINHA,

As you did, i also took a "double take" when I saw name last night. I hope it was not to forward, but I tried to send an e-mail, but it did not go through.
I was just curious as to why you chose this screen name. I have been using PATINHO for a few years, and this is the first time I have ever seen another person use the name. Even more interesting is to find a PatinhA. Hehe... E-mail me if you would like to.... maybe we can talk about Pacino.... or whatever.

Hmmm... for some reason I can't log into my yahoo acct.

I haven't used it in a while but it doesn't seem to have expired or anything like that.

As for the name Patinha, that's not just my screen name, that's my actual given name.

It was my maternal great-grandmother's name, which is who I was named after.

Nobody is sure why she was named that, and it's even more of a mystery because she was from Norway.

PATINHA,
Your given name? That is so cool! And your great grandma is from Norway with the name Patinha? Truly this is a mystery that has to be solved. I bet it is an interesting story.

I am in the process of legally changing my given name (long story) and I almost changed my last name to Patinho, but I settled on a more "American" name. My blood is mainly Irish and people would just stare at me if my name ended with a vowel.
To explain why my nick is Patinho is an even longer story... but to make it short... my first nick name was "Duckie" (little duck). My capoeira Mestre learned this, and he gave me the Capoiera name "Patinho". Anyway... hope to hear from you soon.

Patinha and Patinho: No one really cares if those are your given names or your nick names. This is a post about Al Pacino, not your stupid names. Your grandpa is from Norway? Whow cares? This is a Brazil forum and an Al Pacino thread. And no, we dont' want to hear your long boring story about how your legally going to change your name to Pantinho. This kind of uninteresting blather should be reserved for email.

Again, can I suggest that this forum should be moderated just a little bit. Taht way useless posts like these ones wouldn't have to be read. Its just a thought.

Is egads being exceptionally stupid, trying to make a joke, or is that a fake egads??? Somehow I think it's the latter.

Anyway... Patinho,

The story of her name may indeed be interesting, but I'm afraid it's destined to remain a mystery as my mother and myself are the only remaining descendants of my great-grandmother and niether of us has any idea why she was named that.

As far as people looking funny at an Irishman whose name ended with a vowel goes, I have a good friend named Kyle O'Hara who wouldn't be one of those people giving you a funny look.

Patinha,

I guess with every rule, there is an exception. You can definitely see the "Irish" in O'Hara. I was thinking along the lines of Corleone, Soprano, Monteiro, Silva, Lopes.... oops...
