Brazil Accused of Taxing Essential Medicine 38%

Import tariffs, duties and sales taxes on medicines, medical devices, and the ingredients to make pharmaceuticals block access to medicines in the developing world, including Brazil, according to a new working paper published by the AEI – Brookings Joint Center in Washington, DC.
