Ted Kennedy to Be Keynote Speaker of First Encounter of Brazilian Leaders in the U.S.

The Brazilian Immigration Center/Massachusetts, with the Brazilian Strategy Network/California and several other activist groups in the US will be holding a press conference, Wednesday, September 7, when they will announce the First Summit of Brazilian Leaders in the United States.

This summit will be the first national conference of Brazilian activists in the US and aim to organize community leaderships that represent Brazilian immigrants in this country.


The Summit is scheduled for the weekend of October 21-23, in Boston, and is expected to gather about 300 participants at the Bunker Hill Community College facilities.


At the press conference to be hold at the Brazilian Immigrant Center in Allston, Massachusetts, it is expected the announcement of democrat senator Ted Kennedy as a keynote speaker at the event.


Participation of a Minister of the Brazilian government is also expected to be announced.
