Brazil and Canada Sign Audiovisual Accord

The Audiovisual Technical Center of the Brazilian Ministry of Culture and Canada’s National Film Board (NFB) – responsible for Canada’s audiovisual policies – sign this Wednesday, March 22, a cooperation agreement for exchanging audiovisual works between the two countries.

The agreement may also facilitate professional training in new digital media, as well as make co-productions easier.

According to the Ministry of Culture, the NFB has over 9,000 audiovisual titles, including documentaries, fictions, and animations, that Brazilian Audiovisual Secretariat wants to make available to public television networks in Brazil.

The Secretariat also wants to facilitate shipment of Brazilian audiovisual titles to be distributed in Canada.
