Search for High Added Value in Shoes Draws Top Brazilian Stylists

Exclusive shoes, developed by a group of 24 small and medium sized companies of shoes components in the South of Brazil. This is the result of the creation by Lino Villaventura, Reinaldo and Pedro Lourenço, Glória Coelho, and other Brazilian stylists and brands, for this edition of the São Paulo Fashion Week, which started on Wednesday, July 12, at the Ibirapuera in São Paulo.

To carry out the project, the Brazilian Association of Shoe and Leather Components Industries (Assintecal) united to the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae) of Rio Grande do Sul and the Federal District and to the Brazilian Association of Stylists (Abest).

A group of consultants worked on the project, advising the development of the components so that the final product looked exactly as the stylists desired.

The Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex) and the Brazilian Association of Shoe Manufacturers (Abicalçados) also support the project, which is presented abroad, after the fashion shows in Brazil.

According to the vice-president for Fashion and Design at Assintecal, Milton Killing, the idea came from the need the sector has been detecting, for more than five years, of investing in high added value products.
