Want to Sell to the Chinese? Brazil Can Help.

Small and medium-sized Brazilian firms interested in selling their products on the Chinese market will be able to count on the support of the office of the Brazilian Commodities and Futures Exchange (BM&F) in Shanghai, China.

This information was provided in São Paulo by the president of the BM&F’s Administrative Council, Manoel Félix Cintra Neto.

“Firms that are too small to have an office in China can use the BM&F’s. All they have to do is seek the BM&F’s international area,” he said.

The office offers to distribute the material desired by firms in Mandarim (the Chinese language).

“In short, it can be an office complementing the job that is done by the consulate and the Brazilian Embassy,” Cintra Neto said in an address, yesterday, at the closing session of the seminar, “Chinese Agriculture – Evolution, Trends, and Its Impact on International Trade.”

The BM&F office in Shanghai was inaugurated during President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s trip to China in May of last year.

“This office intends to publicize Braziian products in China and contracts on the BM&F,” Cintra Neto affirmed.
