Brazil Auto Sales Grew 10% in the First Semester

In June, the Brazilian automobile industry sold 148,491 vehicles, 3.9% more than in May, when 142,978 units were sold.

The overall increase in the first half of the year amounts to 10%, in comparison with the same period last year.


Exports maintained their accelerated pace in June, rising 10.4% over May’s figure. 77,822 vehicles were exported, corresponding to US$ 989.8 million in sales.


These figures come from the Automobile Industry Performance Letter, released today by the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers (Anfavea).
