The São Paulo Federal Police (PF) executed the preventive arrest warrant issued by the Federal Supreme Court (STF) for the extradition of a Lebanese women, Rana Abdel Rahim Koleilat, who was already under detention.

Koleilat was detained on March 12, in São Paulo. She is suspected of having participated in the February, 2005, assassination of the former Lebanese prime minister, Rafic Hariri, as well as other crimes, such as document forgery.

According to a note issued by the PF press office in São Paulo, the warrant was carried out through the intermediation of the International Criminal Police (Interpol) in São Paulo.
