Very difficult if you don't have a Brazilian company to sponsor you. Depending on what type of work you are looking for..... many foreigners work for cash teaching English etc. I have a brazilian work visa (soon to expire) and it was VERY hard to get. And it did not allow me to be actually paid by a Brazilian company, only to work IN Brazil and be paid by my American company in American dollars. Good luck.

I am an artist in South Africa and am currently finishing my degree this year, I was wandering if I could get a job working for an artist in Brazil as a student assistant, to learn more about art and to experience the cultural side. I don't know if I would need a working visa for cultural work like that, or instead to exhibit and sell my own work in Brazil. Is ther any way you could help me, do you know any artists that would take student assistants or any galleries I could e-mail my works to? I am a painter, sculptor, video artist and write.
