Animal Feed Factory from Brazil Expands

BioBase in Santa Catarina, Brazil BioBase Animal Feed has expanded its factory in Àguas Frias, in the interior of Santa Catarina. The company is headquartered in Ribeirão Preto, in the interior of the state of São Paulo, and is part of group Base QuÀ­mica. The animal feed factory has expanded its structure in the city of Santa Catarina.

At the site the company is going to produce the line of ready pet food, food for the fish industry, pigs and horses. The structure should double after the expansion and should reach 4,000 square meters (43,055 square feet). The total area on which the factory is set is 16,000 square meters (172,223 square feet).

"Our engagement is always to guarantee products that offer quality, animal health and husbandry results," stated the national manager at BioBase, Agostinho Luiz Giantaglia, at the inauguration of the new structure.

BioBase supplies the entire animal productive chain, with production of animal feed ranging from mini pellets for birds, pigs and horses, sheep, rabbits as well as pet food for cats and dogs, food for fish, beef and dairy cattle, as well as special products for animals used in scientific research.

Basequí­mica, which owns BioBase, works with Brazilian and imported chemical products to supply animal nutrition enterprises, slaughterhouses and chicken farms, sweet, beverage, pickle and juice industries, producers of sausages and dairy products, oils and margarines, tanneries, pulp and paper mills, cleaning product makers, distilleries, pharmaceutical industries, smelting plants, mining complexes, artesian well drillers and ironworks.
