Emirates Get Brazilian Embraer’s First of Five Lineage 1000 Jets

Embraer Lineage 1000 Embraer, the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer, delivered the first Lineage 1000 executive jet to company Al Jaber Aviation (AJA), based in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. The Arab company has already placed an order for four other aircraft of the same model, plus four Legacy 450s and four Legacy 500s.

“We are delighted to hand over the first Lineage 1000 to Al Jaber Aviation, and very proud to be playing a key role in AJA’s fleet expansion,” said Colin Steven, the Embraer Marketing and Sales director for Europe, Middle East and Africa -Executive Aviation, according to a release issued by the company.

“We are especially honored by the confidence AJA has placed in our Executive Jets family. The company began operations in June 2009 with our Legacy 600, and is now expanding the fleet with the Lineage 1000,” added Steven.

The Lineage 1000 is Embraer’s leading executive jet and has capacity to transport 19 passengers in five cabin zones. The aircraft will start making on-demand charter flights in March 2010. Al Jaber Aviation is going to be the leading operator of this type of aircraft, with a fleet of five units.

“This is a very exciting time for our company, and we are eager to begin the operation of this wonderful aircraft to support our growing business,” said Mark Pierotti, chief operating officer of Al Jaber Aviation, according to the release issued by Embraer.

“By choosing the Lineage 1000, AJA will be able to offer its elite guests a superior level of service that has not been seen before in this region. We will be delivering new standards of excellence.”

AJA began operating in June 2009, with two new Legacy 600 jets, offering VIP charter services from Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The company has a fleet of 21 aircraft in order, and is positioning itself to be a global leader in the rapidly growing VIP charter market in the Middle East.
